I'll try to remember to upload some post-rock by Mono and Explosions in the Sky tonight. It might be a good idea to have somebody PM me as a reminder. I tend to forget things like this.

Paco Feb 14, 2007 06:46 PM

Alright... First things first here:

The first post index has been updated with EVERY ALBUM in the thread. Also, a few of you had duplicates of albums that had already been posted. Of course, this isn't anyone's fault but my own because without an updated index there was no way for anyone to know that such duplicates existed without skimming through EVERY post.

Please try not to add anything that's already in the first post index from here on in and I'll update the index every page from here on out so keep an eye out on that as well. Carry on, kids. :p

Mucknuggle Feb 14, 2007 07:46 PM

I uploaded some new Mono. Enjoy.

knkwzrd Feb 16, 2007 04:36 PM

I believe Iwata upped that Daedelus record right near the beginning of the thread, Methe. It's a great album though.

Right now I'm upping the strangest album I've ever heard in my entire life, so be on the lookout.

el jacko Feb 16, 2007 08:24 PM

Thank you for the Yo La Tengo Admiral Amara! I have three more of their albums I can upload, if people would like to see them.

I also have more Mono that hasn't been uploaded yet. I have "Walking cloud and deep red sky, Flag fluttered and the sun shined" and "You are There".

Schadenfreude Feb 16, 2007 10:29 PM

I'm thinking of putting up some more Throbbing Gristle/crazy-ish music to somewhat continue in the vein of knkwzrd's latest post, although I'm pretty sure nothing I have can compare to the sound of that crazy, crazy woman...

He did and even though it's a great album we're trying to avoid duplicates.

That's the reason I spent 3 hours updating the index on the first post, so that we avoid any duplicates. If you want to upload an album that's already there, PM me and I'll edit it the new download link into the original poster's post and you can point us to it from here or you can just ask the original poster to upload it. Otherwise we're looking at some real thread clutter here.

Carry on, guys.

Holy shit, knk. Srsly. Crispin Hellion Glover. Granted, the only songs that I've heard off of that are New Clean Song and Auto-Manipulator, but still.

And the review reminded me of something: any of you bastards have King Missile? There's so much better shit than Detachable Penis.

I could use a laugh. A chortle, even. A guffaw.

Dude, more YLT would be amazing. That's the only album of theirs that I own, and I really like it.

I've got both of those Mono albums, so if you want, I can upload Walking Could.... Or you could. Doesn't really much matter either way.

Ill take care of the YLT for now, if you have time you can upload the Mono stuff (if you don't I can upload it fairly easily, but maybe not for another couple of days).

Ah, my bad. I'll be sure to avoid duplicates from now on by checking the index. Should we just pm the original poster in the instance of expired links?

wvlfpvp Feb 17, 2007 09:09 PM

Hey, knk, could you reupload that Dion McGregor album; some of the other downloads in that post are still going strong, but that one's dead. For some reason.

And it's the one that's got me most interested from your description.

That'd be pretty cool, actually. :D

It'll be up by lunch today.

Additional Spam:
The link's been updated.

Also, nice call on The Shaggs, Amara. It's a classic.

"I'd rather listen to The Shaggs than the Beatles." - Frank Zappa

wvlfpvp Feb 18, 2007 02:04 PM

Amara, thank you. I've been trying to get the Shaggs album ever since a HDD crash lost it for me years ago.

Oh, and you forgot to mention that Philosophy of the World is one of Frank Zappa's favorite albums EVER.

Admiral Amara Feb 18, 2007 11:09 PM

Oh, CRAP! Thanks for pointing that out, Yama. I'll re-rip and update the link shortly. I forgot that I ripped that one during the whole "blargh crappy formatting of rips" stage of my life. Expect it soon.

Also glad that people appreciate that Shaggs upload. It's ridiculous. =D

Admiral Amara Feb 18, 2007 11:46 PM

Correction: Yama's gonna re-upload it and send me the link. I'll update it tomorrow when I get the upload link and throw a post at you guys. It's great stuff, I'd hate to deprive you guys of it (er, in good format, I mean).

Oh, and wvlf, I had no idea that Zappa loved it so much. I'll have to edit that in tomorrow when I'm fixing the Mono link.

knkwzrd Feb 19, 2007 07:06 PM

I gotta say, Methe, I've been consistently impressed by your MEC posts. Even a Mike Patton project I've never heard. Very nice stuff.

wvlfpvp Feb 19, 2007 07:23 PM

So, should I upload "Better Than the Beatles?"

Y'know, the Shaggs tribute album?
