Taiyou no Uta (Movie), to be blunt, was nothing special though, besides YUI being in it.

Mai Kuraki has released an album here in the US under the name Mai-K. Can anyone tell me when this was cause I can't find it anywhere -_-

Actually it's going to be available as two limited editions, a CD+DVD and a CD+Photobook (probably mini-PB in actuality). I know this as I have both versions pre-ordered. XD

As for what it'll be, well at this stage your guess is as good as mine. I'm hoping for something upbeat and fun. ^^

OK, the thread's been quiet for far too long for my liking.

In some random news: Aya Matsuura has a new album coming out, called "Naked Songs", though she might have some trouble singing it just now as she has had to cancel part of her tour due to a jaw injury.

Speaking of Ayaya; H!P super-unit GAM (Ayaya + Mikitty) have a new single coming out - "Melodies". The PV is, how should I say, interesting. I'm not sure what the concept behind the PV is, but it's certainly going to go over well with a guys and girls of given persuasions shall we say. It's a really good song too.

I've known about this for a while, but didn't really want to mention it until there was more definite news, but it looks like YUI's next single will be "Rolling Star" and song she performed live a few months back and which has just become the new opening for anime series "Bleach". Like I say, it's not confirmed yet, but in all likelihood this will become her next single, following up the entirely wonderful "I remember you".

There's probably lots more by mind is blank right now.

How about Utada's "Boku wa Kuma" ? I love it! The video is so cute.

Her U.S. single came out in 1999, while the album came out in 2002.

It's just a kids song, so I'm inclined to plain not care about it, but I'll admit that it's a cute song and it has a cute Minna no Uta animation. I'm going to prefer listening to her other songs over it, though.

Yeah, even though it's a kiddy song I really like the melody; I also like how she repeats "kuma" each time with a different pitch.

UVERworld is coming out with a 6th single!!!

The title of the new single is called "Kimi no sukina uta" and is supposed to be a ballad that the band performed during their first concert tour.

The Normal Edition will be released on November 15, 1006

There is also a Special Edition which includes the SINGLE+DVD and will be released on November 22, 1006 at the same time TIMELESS - Special Edition will be released.

Timeless - Special Edition includes the ALBUM+DVD. Tracklist is UNKNOWN so I'll update later when I find more info. I think it's the same thing as TIMELESS but with a DVD which I dunno what's on it >____<

ayaka's previously annouced first album ("First Message"), which was subsequently cancelled, or rather postponed, is now going to be released on 1st November. Given the quality of her singles this is one to keep an eye out on.

Do you have it or know where I can download it? I would love to hear the english versions of some of her songs.

Yeah, everyone looks cute in it, though Aichan, Koha-chan and Sayummy most (well so I think ;)).

It's looking like YUI's new single will be "Rolling Star" and will be out in January. There's also a strong rumour that a second album is being recorded and will arrive in February. Unsurprisingly this has me very excited on both counts. Very, very, very excited. ^__________^

my favorite wFL group, FLAME, is coming back with another single!!!! uwahhhh sorry but I can't hold my fangirlism for them inside.. gotta let it out!!!! I pre-ordered it too, first-press limited edition ^____^ it's called "hanashitakuwanai" which is going to be the opening theme for an anime called Marjinal Prince.... heheheheeeee

i also preordered UVERworld's kimi no suki na uta the first press limited edition ^__________^ i love love love this song so much that I kept the PV on repeat for a full week now.. maybe more hehehehe

and I got the chance to listen to Koda Kumi's Yume no uta/Futari de and.... it's nice. I think I like Yume no Uta better for some reason though both have the same melody but different lyrics. The PV was quite interesting too and I love Koda Kumi's hair.... so pretttty~~~

and oh!! Otsuka Ai's Renai Shashin was pretty nice too and I love her new hair tooo shooo cute!!!

Speaking of Kumi, I'm loving WON'T BE LONG from EXILE & Koda Kumi. I don't really like the original version by the Bubblegum Brothers, so I'm puzzled as to why I enjoy the cover. Maybe it's because of AKIRA's hypnotic abs. :p

These are one of the very few recommendation posts from me about new artists. I found her entirely by accident on Jpopsuki, and I swear, something unknown force made me download her debut album, First Message. I've never heard of her, and yet something just made me click on the download link, let the torrent run and I'm glad I did.

She has 4 singles thus far;
[2006.02.01] I believe - #3; 227,719 copies sold
[2006.05.10] melody~SOUNDS REAL~ - #14; 15,600 copies sold - Limited to 50,000 copies
[2006.07.19] Real voice - #11; 50,321 copies sold
[2006.09.27] Mikazuki - #1; 158,821 copies (still charting)

..and 1 of her latest debut album. All I can say is, it was lovely. Her songs gave me a great first impression, and this coming from a loyal YUI fan. Her voice is similiar to DAI's Tomiko Van and her music style is similiar to YUI's guitar oriented pieces.

So far, I've found all her works except her first single, "I believe". You can get the rest from Jpopsuki's tracker, and I really urge you to try her stuff if you like something close to Van's vocals or anything guitar oriented. This is one new artist a J-rock fan shouldn't miss.

P.S. - If anyone knows where to get "I believe" or own any of her stuff and is able to rip them first hand, please inform me as I'd love to have those. =D

I own "I believe" and "Real voice" so can confirm that she's very good.

Also, YUI's new single is confirmed. "Rolling Star" hits shelves 17th January. Woot.
