There is something about this show that doesn't seem to add up completely and it's along the lines of what Bennet does, and who he works for. Menzo's response to my question made me think a little bit on who exactly is behind everything.

A sure bet this Linderman person is behind everything, but the question is WHY. Why is he wanting to boost the powers of those that have them? In Wireless' case, she was used as a spy, so does that mean this Linderman wants his own personal army? Is he a Magneto-esque villian that only wants those with powers to exist?

One thing that is getting me a bit is what Niki, D.L and Micah have to do with the big picture in all of this. It seems about the only connection they have had is with running into another hero at points, and that Niki stole money from Linderman, and that's it...but maybe that's all that they have to do with the story, but if that's true, why were they in Peter's vision wheras Ted was not, nor Eden or even Bennett.

And on one last note, a long time ago they had the preview to the upcoming episodes of Heroes where they played scenes from like episodes 5,6,7 and 8, and I can never remember one scene playing, and that is when Peter and Nathan are standing next to each other and Nathan goes "How fast do you think we can fly?" Did that ever come up?

To Shonos and Ken Hikari:

I went to the website for Primatech Paper, but I didn't see any place to log in or even what to log in with. How did you guys get an e-mail from there?

makura Jan 30, 2007 11:51 PM

(Back to the theory that Mr. Bennet has the buffer power..)

Someone mentioned it already before I got the chance to post it, but Sylar did have his powers nullified when Eden and Haitian man intercepted him.

I don't think a hero is limited to one power, so Haitian man could have both memory erasing and the buffer.

Look at Hiro, he can slow down time to a stop AND teleport (through time.)

Remember, Niki/Jessica was sent to Nathan's hotel room in Vegas to gain compramising footage of him, just in case he decides to go back on his deal with Linderman. Niki (I guess she was Jessica at the time) freaking slept with Nathan, that's quite a connection.

Also, remember, Eden is dead. That could be why she wasn't in Peter's vision. Maybe this means that Ted and Bennet will be out of the picture before the explosion.

(who's Ted again? drawing a blank here)

Ted would be, for the most part, one of the biggest reasons Peter blows up.

He's the guy who can generate nuclear energy from his body.

Peter Jan 31, 2007 04:47 AM

About Isaaq:

Spoiler:
anyone noticed how he isn't dead in the future anymore? When Hiro first travels to the future, he finds Isaaq without a brain, and a few hours after that, we have the nuclear explosion. Now from Peter's vision we learn that he is the one who sets off the explosion, but just minutes before this happens, we see that Isaaq is trying to save his girlfriend from it. Am I missing something here or have the actions of the heroes (saving the cheerleader) changed the future already?

Good question. Then again, THAT may not be the same explosion that Hiro saw in the future. As I recall, his "mentor" is also there, laughing. Why would he laugh at Peter failing and killing everyone? It doesn't look like a lunatic's laugh so I don't think he went nuts. Maybe it's part of some kind of training session and he's taunting Peter for failing it?

The Furious One Jan 31, 2007 11:05 AM

Another good episode, cliff hanger of an ending. Sylar is freaking me out now lol I like the tick tock sound that plays when his on screen. I think Bennett has turned him into bigger monster than he was now.

Spoiler:
I guess now Sylar and Bennett are face to face, Bennett will show he true colours, if he has powers or not. For his sake I hope he does, otherwise Sylar will redecorate the room with him eek!

So Jessica cant be Claires mother, I guess Linderman is behind the cover up, but what did they do that forced the mum to give Claire up, I doubt the Haitian was about then, because the mum seems to know about Claire's existance

Really interested to find out more about Hiro and his father, should make some great drama with them two

Menzoberranzan Jan 31, 2007 01:54 PM

Spoiler:
Claire's mother is so freaking cool. The flames just went like POOF! Tada!

I think 14 years ago Claire's mother was just like some other ordinary pregnant mother without a husband around and either she met Mr. Bennet and he did some nasty crap to trigger her power, or she went through some highly emotional instance while pregnant or after the birth of her baby. That must have been when she learned to Combust and did so till she thought she killed Claire.

Apparently Claire, left for dead, regenerated back to life and Mr. Bennet took care of her.

There is definitely some relationship between Mr. Bennet and Combustable Lady.

Grail Jan 31, 2007 07:08 PM

Alrighty, time for some theorizing about Sylar! :D

Spoiler:
Alright, so we all know now that Sylar has a thing in the back of his head, something implanted. I've been thinking about this for a while now, and nothing seems to fit as to why he'd put that there except this: He figured out that Bennet can block abilities using maybe, maybe some sort of frequency that isn't all that telepathic...so Sylar constructed a blocker to block Bennet's power...but that's my guess.

Crash "Long-Winded Wrong Answer" Landon Jan 31, 2007 08:01 PM

Okay. This is possibly a spoiler, but more of a simple guess:

Since they've ruled out Jessica as Claire' father (damn, it was a good theory, though), we now have a new hero: a pyrokinetic. It's kind of similar to Ted Sprague, but different, since I reason that she can set fires at a distance whereas Ted can only irradiate himself.

The commercials said we'd be shocked at who Claire's father is. As they said this, they showed an arm hitting a table. This arm was wearing a wristwatch and we heard the familiar ticking sound again. This would imply that Claire's father is Sylar and that he's out to unknowingly kill his own daughter.

Screwed up, if I'm right.

Well, to be honest if it is Sylar that would be quite the shocker, given that -if- the guy falling is actually Sylar, he'd be wearing a nifty clean shirt and a watch. Really I don't remember Sylar actually wearing a watch, just enjoyed the way they ticked.

And besides, Sylar would have went after his wife/girlfriend/whatever as soon as he found out about her power right? Wanting it for himself.

I'm gonna go out on a line and say it's Linderman, but that reason right there might not be much because Bennet has Claire...unless that's how Linderman wanted it.

That would a medical miracle lol

I like the idea, that Sylar could be her father but it seems too far fetched. Slyar seems too young to be her father. Linderman is the best bet, only reason why Claire may well be with Bennett. Claires mum kinda looks like the hooker type, I dont know just get that vibe from her.

After watching the promo, I think Nathan has been a naughty boy again.
(the arm hitting the table is Jessica)

yeh Sylar's new head gear must be just that, looks like Bennett is done for, im pretty sure that was his body being slammed into the glass wall.

The watch ??

Menzoberranzan Feb 4, 2007 03:29 AM

I think Sylar's headgear was simply a remnant of one of the various invasive procedures that Bennet's doctor performed on Sylar. I am pretty sure that they would have to somehow get inside his head (Literally) to take samples and such. The metal device may be an extraction tube or something of that sort.

I guess the next episode will either feature Bennet evolving from Just-A-Human to Superpower-Daddy and maybe whooping Sylar or getting whooped, or the Haitian dude will pop up and say wassup.

Grail Feb 4, 2007 03:51 AM

Well there is no way possible for them to kill off Bennet, or the Haitian for that matter...I mean sucks to be the black guy if they finally make him speak, to have a role, only to have it be cut down already.

God...it's gonna sound cheesy, but what if we have Bennet all wrong about his power? What if he can teleport just like Hiro, but more like an instantaneous type of thing? Tha'ts the only way I see him getting out of this honestly.

Thanks! I tried it out and noticed the logo changed to include the logo that is on Hiro's sword and on Niki's shoulder, but I don't have any passwords. I did get a warning saying that my IP address has been noted. I hope that means I'll be getting an e-mail soon. Although, I use a yahoo! address, not sure if it be can be sent to there.

Thanks alot, Kaffee. I'm in. I read the file on Wireless. I am assuming that she will text message the passwords for the other files that I can't access yet. I can see there are like 3 other people to read up on.

Drex Feb 4, 2007 11:45 AM

On Wireless' info page, there are a bunch of sky blue letters - assemble them in order to have the password for the 4th file on the website: Sylar's. The middle 2 files are still locked, though.

parKbench Feb 4, 2007 01:22 PM

I got into Skylar's file, but I can't see any clues to the other 2. I text messaged PAPER to the number on the websight, I even called the 1-800 number and filled out an "application" online. Hopefully, I'll get something back to clue me in on the other files.

Drex Feb 4, 2007 01:27 PM

I have a feeling we'll only gain access to the other files as the show progresses. It took a week to open up Wireless and Skylar's files, so I'm guessing at least one will open up after tomorrow.

Grail Feb 4, 2007 01:51 PM

Hrm, I couldn't get acess to wireless and sylar's files at all, and I couldn't find that sky blue lettering either...so I'm missing something :P

Grail, go to primatechpaper.com, when you get there, it will tell you to visit them on your cell. Text them at the number there and you will be given a new websight. Follow the instuctions there and you will gain access to Wireless' file, follow Drex's instuctions to get access to Sylar's file.

Menzoberranzan Feb 5, 2007 07:36 AM

They've really put a lot of effort into off-show things haven't they? lol. All the blogs, comics, webpage thingies, etc
