Waiting to see whether Gheth stays vertical or not before Glenn tries to use him as a distraction.
|
You know what makes a -great- distraction?
A dude alive. But on fire. |

Also, i didn't catch it before, but you could have moved that far without using an action point, Garr. you can turn standard actions into move actions.
|
With my Everybody Move ability, since I am not required to be next to the enemy, does that mean I can decide which direction they get pushed, perhaps even towards myself?
Also, does pushing provoke AoO? |
When you push, the enemy must move (in any direction) further away from you with every step. If you want to move them in any direction, including drawing them to you, that's a slide.
Flute of the Dancing Satyr! Tundra Wind! Tune of Ice and Wind! You are missed. Regardless, forced movement doesn't attract opportunity attacks. Would you be doing this "Everybody Move" thing before Gheth, so he gets spared from some potentially punishing retaliation? P.S. I don't suppose anyone's up for a little Heroes of Light diplomacy? :3: |
I'd be all for a little diplomacy, but i don't think they'll be listening to Glenn. Gheth has the best diplomacy score (still only 8, ouch), so i guess it's up to Skexis. Talking can happen any time, correct?
|
Yeah, but apparently it takes a standard (houseruled to minor) to use it in combat.
|
Puyet smash. Puyet ask questions later.
We could always try and get them to surrender once they're bloodied. I'm not a big fan of the extra pummeling we'll take, however. Perhaps knocking them prone would help. But then we're basically sandwiched between the good and bad guys. |

Anyway, I have been looking for people to play D and D with me near my apartment but I am having trouble with that. Any idea on how I can find people willing to play D and D enlistment forum? |

The Wizards website has a link where you can search for local gaming stores. In fact, it's right here!!! |
slessman, this is a play-by-post campaign. For real life games, you may also want to try a dedicated forum for precisely this.

Fucking wvlfpvp...
Also, I didn't roll anything for the throwing of the thief. I assume it's just an improvised heavy thrown object, but I have no idea where my +12 to hit comes from on my attacks and what should be applied and what shouldn't. Could somebody please explain it to me. |
+5 Strength modifier <-- use dexterity mod (+0) for ranged attacks
+3 Half your level +2 Proficiency bonus <-- not available for improvised weapons +2 Weapon Enhancement bonus <-- not available for improvised weapons unless Garr uses his augmenting whetstone on it I reckon a halfling projectile is for all intents and purposes an improvised thrown weapon. +3 attack bonus, 1d4 damage. If you successfully convince Pang it should count as "heavy thrown" then it's +8 attack roll, 1d4 + 5 damage. ---- Heh, strike 2 for GFZ. This is a first, Pang introducing a new party member and killing him right off. |
Technically wvlf's got until Monday, weekend exemption and all. Though I suspect if he was going to post he would have done it earlier tonight. When he was on the board anyway. Posting. In another thread.
But I'll give you Heavy Thrown on that, or on anything where sheer force is more important than hitting them accurately. A bag of flour would be Heavy Thrown, for example, despite not being all that heavy in the larger scheme of things. (alsoa puny 1d4 for improvising is bullshit and discourages stunting, so ignore that) |
Sorry folks. I've been spending much less time on-forum (and haven't been able to post as much/detailedish) because I've been spending time with the boyfriend that I was away from for a month. In the next couple of weeks school/new job starts up, so I'll actually be able to post more. (oh and here comes my turn.)
|
Sooooo buying an 'I roll 20's' shirt.
BTW I am in training Mon thru Fri, but there should be no reason I don't have internet at night. If I don't respond in a timely manner, though, somebody man my character. |
Damn prone halfling
Pang, is Cal in a position to ascertain whether Black Mage is holding any melee weapons? That is to say, any chance for BMAG to do opportunistic melee basic attacks? |
Yeah, BMAG has a wooden staff; think I mentioned everybody's weapons but his. Sorry.
|
Ok, thanks. Next question!
Suppose Cal wants to confiscate Black Mage's staff and taunt him by holding it over his head out of reach for the little guy. How do we go about this mechanically? Might I be able to argue this as an act of Thievery? |
Shapeshift into Zephyrin. Duh.
Also, somebody should pick up the fighter and throw him into the portal for Yeti food. I would but my turn is is in a galaxy far, far away. |
Naw. Throw White Mage instead. Go go Gheth
|
You guys know you'd have to actually make a Grab check to pick up a LIVING halfling, right?
Anyway, disarms in combat. Let's say Thievery vs. Reflex or Athletics vs. Fortitude to disarm someone of their weapon/shield/implement, as a Standard action. If you've got a free hand you can grab said item yourself, otherwise it just falls to the floor. Theoretically a pretty powerful move but risky and time-consuming. Should work okay. |
