I don't ever recall a FFX posable toy line from Kotobukiya, but I could be wrong. Also the Highwind airship has been out for sometime now, a year I think.

The Tidus figure from that line had joints in the arms, I believe. But I don't think Yuna had many poses.

Nice find Hatei. The figures look great!

Not that I've seen. I think they just don't want to publicly release it at the moment.

Haha, you can pre-order a whole case at Play-Asia. Of course, I'm assuming that that was an image of the trading figures.

Actually the Highwind in the scan is different from the one you're thinking about. It, along with the Continental Circus, Fenrir, Kadaj's bike, and the Sister Ray, are apart of Kotobukiya's Final Fantasy Mechanical arts line (forgot what the scale was for it though, supposed to be pretty small).

Actually these are fully posable and are on the same scale as the FF7AC and FF8 Play Arts figures! My dream came true too, a posable Auron!!!

Haha, nah. I'll just post this stuff in their respective threads, or in threads where people will most likely care (eg. the FF10 figures). Hey, maybe a seperate sub forum for VG merchandise? There's enough stuff out there to start one, if one's started then I'll start posting this info in there.

Ah, thanks for the clear up. Heh, I thought it was a bit too soon to announce another 3.

Craze Jun 15, 2006 10:04 AM

The airship models actually look pretty good (I didn't know FFX's airship was called Continental Circus) Like Simo, I really hope they add in Ragnarokk sometime (another freaking awesome airship). I might put them on top of the character figures on my list :D

I wanna get the Highwind.

Also, as far as I know, the Airship from FFX was the Fahrenheit (sp?), since the ship from X-2 was the Celcius, so I don't know where they got Continental Circus from.

Can anyone find proof of which name it is?

And on the topic of FFXIII, why would they release a figure model already? I mean the game was only just announced. Seems like they just want to make quick buck.

I didn't catch the name of the FFX airship myself, but I think you may be right.

They're probably just getting the sculpts done. I doubt they'll release her till the games release, or the other 2 or 3 characters are ready (assuming that there will be more than just her). Either that, or she'll be a sort of Limited Edition piece with the game.

Anyway, some screen shots from ITmedia. They're the same as from the magazine scans, but they're useful for ava/sig combos.

You can also find pictures of other FF goodies, by Kotobukiya, there as well. Eg. FFXII, FFX, FFVIII, FFVII AC play arts

It never had a name. Fahrenheit was the air ship in Bahamut Lagoon and the Celsius in FFX-2 is a homage to that particular thing. Cannot think of where that article's author got that info.

I doub't any one got the chance to film it. I've been looking out for it myself and I couldn't find it. I just gave up looking for it, guess I'll wait for an official release, and who knows when that will be.

Soldier Sep 20, 2006 03:11 AM

In just a couple of days, TGS will start, and we'll have some new videos/info for both FFXIII and FF Versus XIII.

I'm hoping to get some information on the female character for FFXIII (give us a name, already), as well as a look at the other party members. I'm also looking forward to...well, just about anything for Versus, because I have no idea what the deal is with that one. I haven't seen an FF that bears such little resemblance to FF since The Spirits Within.

Hantei Sep 22, 2006 02:55 AM

Couple of old, but really high res images from Ruliweb.

http://ruliweb.dreamwiz.com/data/rul....htm?num=14997

Zeta26 Sep 22, 2006 03:20 AM

Soldier. I think that is her name. Because think about it. Where else would they put the character's name?

Certainly not in the Information bar where they display the current attack information. Or the attack bars where they display what is being used (V-Strike, Fire etc...).

The only place that they seem to put the name is to the left of the ATB Cost Meter and to the right of the command list.

Very Nice!

Tequila Sep 22, 2006 06:30 PM

Am I the only one who noticed "Blizzrad" in the first picture?

Cobalt Katze Sep 22, 2006 08:34 PM

Lots of forum posts around the internet say no :)

It's been Blizzrad since E3! I wonder when they'll change it :o

GameSpot's description for the new FFXIII trailer:
http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/rpg/fina...ml?sid=6158270
Quote:

In the previous trailer, though, her enemies were exclusively human; now, she's shown fighting against a number of monsters, as well.

In the first instance, the enemy that appears is a massive demon, looking somewhat like the Balrog from the Lord of the Rings movies, save that it glows blue and swings a massive sword that leaves energy trails behind it. The guards in the large city that's under assault manage to summon their own defenses, as they activate a blue energy field through which leap a few battle wolves, which quickly coalesce from pure energy into solid matter to take on the monster. The woman isn't bereft of tricks of her own, however; immediately preceding the precious few seconds of battle footage (which appear to be identical to the E3 trailer), she drops a grenade on a group of enemies and then slices through it with her sword, causing them all to go flying.

Afterwards, a bit of footage appears in which the woman directly engages another large monster, which somewhat reveals the Ifrit summon from Final Fantasy X, but in a bit of a bluish hue. This didn't appear to be battle footage, though, as everything moved around a bit too much for it to be anything other than a cutscene.

Lastly, the brief trailer is wound down by the appearance of a mechanized, flying manta ray-esque creature, which landed on one of the railway trains that are seen zooming through these trailers, and then ground it to a halt by pressing it against the track. It stayed there for a moment, causing the woman to leap up from the train and see what all the fuss was about. As in the previous trailer, this one ended as she held her sword out toward the beast and posed for the camera.

Damn, but still no goods (the trailer itself).

I'm getting more edgy with the lack of actual game play. Enough with the cutscenes, I'm more than wowed by it already. Give me the Real McCoy.
