Just popping in to say that FF XII is an awesome game, easily my favorite Final Fantasy since FF VI, and it's probably even better than that game.
I'm on my second playthrough right now (if for no other reason than that I accidentally broke the Barheim Key sidequest), and thanks to a few wicked Quickening chains and a border guard who's deathly afraid of Chocobos, I am in the interesting spot of having a nice new Zodiac Spear at level 20/21, before even going to the Golmore Jungle. That's pretty neat. :tpg: |
Metal Sphere-----I beaten both. Yes was easy. Problem I am having was getting Tower to respawn. I tride the waystone to 79 ack to 88 and vice versa. Was trying to get the Grand Helm. But F it. I found a circlet though:) . Now I can not get the Giza to change to sunny :( . I tried from Rabanestra-->Giza , Giza--->Rabanestra several times......No Luck. Then I tried (land that you head toward Jahara)-->Giza and vice versa and no luck. Its still raining...So F that Now. Now I am trying Gemhorn (Lushu Mines: site 11).

You know, the Wyrmhero Blade is really not all that spectacular considering what you have to do to get it. I got it 2 days ago and its not worthwhile using. Its as if you're constantly in Slow status (and this is with Haste on) because the weapon's charge time is the slowest ever! I thought with its Evasion rate of 50 and attack of 130 I would be better off getting it than trying to get the Tournesol. Oh well, have to get the Tournesol now I guess..
By the way Adol, how did you manage to get the Zodiac Spear before the Golmore Jungle without getting the Moonsilver Medallion from the guy in Archades? You couldnt have got it from the Henne Mines either because you obviously dont have 10 Espers at the point you are now for Geomancer Yugelu from Jahara to have opened up the passage-way to get the Spear, of which you would have died in from just one shot from those darned bats. So? |

After that, it's basically the same as getting the Zodiac Spear from the Necrohol normally, just MUCH HARDER. I basically killed the King Bomb with a heroic string of Quickenings, and then ran away from everything in the Necrohol, since all of the enemies there can kill your party members with one hit. Having Fran run around doing 5x the damage of my Demonsbane-equipped party members makes the trouble quite worthwhile, though. ^_^ |
How to get cloudy weather in Ozmone plain
Hi Guys,
I must have going crazy here spending hours and HOURS to get the cloudy weather to apper in Ozmone plain. - I am trying to get Sylphi Entite to apper. Does anyone know if there are special condition for the cloudy weather to apper? I have swipe between Jaraha and Ozmone plain for 3 hours and restart my PS2 more than 10 times... Never once see the cloudy weatherI am not sure what I did wrong here Please any advice would be MUCH APPERICATED! |
Yes. Leave the ozmone plains and then enter. Likely 9/10 the weather will be sunny. However, unless I am mistaken, the weather doesn't change from sunny to cloudy unless you leave the area entirely and pretty much requires the luck of the draw. Continue entering/leaving the Ozmone territory until the Ozmone plain has a cloudy sky.

Well I was starting to get burnt out on XII so I took a break. Been about two weeks now and I'm thinkin it's about time to get back into the swing of things here. Just got Omega, Zodiark, and Yizmat left.

It was a great ending to a game I had a lot of fun playing. I think the criticisms come from people who are too used to the cataclysm trope we find in RPGs all over the place so when something reasonable and expected is given to them, it's "bad". Oh and Balthier, even with the scarce story, has more character than most FFs combined |

Balthier is hot. I'd hit him. Balther ending:
I still think the Final Fantasy IX ending had one of the most happy endings. O Zidane you. I cried when him and Garnet were having happy happy love love time. Speaking of which, loool Garnet and Ashe, we are Rulers of the Kingdom now! Also, I somehow fear now I might not be able to get the Samsung LNS 4096D HDTV ;____; |

Oh, the fact that two older characters had a love thing going didn't hurt either. Eh? What happened? Got laid off? Sold out? |

Yeah, I had to abandon that and come back to it. I did the minibug (barheim passage) and Ithuno(Barheim Passage), Dustia(Esternsand) and then headed for Terror Tyrant(westernsand) and he was there:) YES. Finally. Yagyu Darkblades takes a while. Try doing a chain of those bombs. It should eventually drop it. Hey Soldier-----If you doing the hunts, before you go to the Crystal(In Giruvegan) to fight Omega, you might want to clear those Rare Monsters too that are somewhere in there. It would be a B**CH that you beaten Omega and left the Crystal to later find out that their are Rare Monsters up there too, to complete the Rare Hunt game. |
After beating the game, I really have no motivation to go see this Yiazmat dood nor the Zordiak.
Things I didn't like at all in FFXII: 1) Espers are a total waste in this game. They're fun to fight, but hell to actually use well. And the out come isn't worth it. In the time where you spend to actually summon the bloody thing, you could have finished off the baddie with your regular attacks. 2) Strahl, what the fuck. I've lived with the fact that on PS2 FFs, you can't pilot the ship around, but FFX does it right. You can go anywhere you damn well please, even the most obscure places, with the Continental Circus -as well as get into the ship . With the Strahl, you're pretty much stuck to most aerodomes or some outdoor areas. Whatever, thank god for teleport stones, no seriously. Even the regular airliners you take from city to city are more acceptable. It not like I'm a poor bastard to go buy teleport stones from Dyne at 100 gil a piece. All I can say is Balthier got ripped off, paying probably a damn shit load of gil to get the Strahl where it costs porbably close to 500,000 for that ship, where as I could get 99 teleport stones for a fraction of that cost, which would last much of my life as a resident of um, Rabanastre or Archades I suppose. 3) Only one dungeon that features you heavily fighting on a ship. The Leviathan is probably my most favorite dungeon in the whole game. I LOVE the smooth and sexy features of the interior of the ship, it's not gaudy, but very nice and futuristic. 4) Most of the other dungeons are rather forgettable. Raithwall was somewhat interesting with the massive interior as you go down the steps, as is the lighthouse of Pharos (which some of the interior was nice but much of it bland and forgettable). I really liked the entrance to the Stillshrine of Miriam, but inside was rather bleh. 4) Quickenings and special attacks. These "LIMIT BREAKS" or what have you are too risky to use, and most of the time basically act as a penelization on your MP, which sometimes is more vital than your HP. However, most boss battles don't even require this. OFFTOPIC TO METAL SPHERE: The 4096D can only be bought in the Canadian Futureshops (basically Best Buy) but is an exclusive item. Most of the TVs now are sold out in my city and only a select stores have them. I don't have the money right now to get it, and my mom isn't willing to pitch in to get the TV, I can understand. I might have to fall back onto the 4095D, and miss out on the super sexy glass bezel. God I cum over that thing, and it's really the only reason I secretly choose the 96 over the 95. How is the Sharp Aquos TVs - I checked them up and they seem to be lacking heavily in the contrast ratio department? Still at any rate, this is the first Final Fantasy game that I can proudly boast that I've never seen the GAME OVER screen. Not even once (which I don't think I could have kept intact should I have faced off Zordiak or Yiazmat). After you level up like crazy in the Stillshrine with the Negalmuur up to about level 85, and get your party using "Save the Queen" swords, you're pretty much set for a total cake walk the rest of the game. The only boss that took me over 60 seconds to beat was the final final final boss. That took me about 240 seconds. |
