We need to actually plan a set time/date, not that usually seems to bring us any better luck getting a group. It sounds like the plan for tomorrow is 4PM or so, since the 4 of us will be around, it'll be after the Microsoft E3 conference for me and Tails said he'd be up by then. I know Moo said he had to work, but we can probably rope in some other people, I'll harass Skills or something.
|
Four? I honestly thought you said Five, which is right when I get in the door.
However, if you guys can find someone else instead of waiting around an hour, I won't take offense. |

Those are great fun because neither team can really plan without giving themselves away to the other team. It becomes a massive clusterfuck of everyone trying to read each other's minds. It's great.
Also I totally wish I could be there tomorrow. :( |

No but seriously, we can do 5. The only time that was mentioned was 4 because Tails said we had to give him at least until then to wake up or whatever. So we will plan for 5 PM today. |

In fact, I am at work and not near my Xbox at all - and I am *still* ready to go. http://www.therussianstore.com/photo...pn00106a01.jpg ALWAYS PREPARED |
Hey, L4D2 just announced at E3.

seriously? you're happy to have to pay another 50$ in less than a year for probably the same amount of content?
I think it's a little soon, but if l4d2 merge with the first one (a little like an expansion) than I guess it doesn't matter... |
Inhert, you paying for more black people in the game. That's enough to sell me.
Plus, Chainsaws. |

I think there's something to the notion that Valve's jumping the gun on this one, but considering how hilariously replayable the first game is, I'm not terribly upset to get the game all over again.
I would definitely prefer it a million times over if they decided to make L4D2 an expansion pack of sorts to the first game, or at least have the option to download it. If this game is essentially going to sit next to L4D1 rather than in front of it, it'd be nice not to have two discs to swap. That might just be me, though. |

I'm just saying that I think it's a little soon for a sequel when they could still had a lot to the first... |

The game this thread is based on has a sequel coming out. Someone else was happy about this news. You pissed on that happiness. And then you get defensive and hurt when someone calls you a douche-knocker eye-fucked-blind knob-rag-from-Mars? Go disconnect your dial-up. You're obviously too sensitive a person to hang with the cool kids. |

i have only played L4D for over a 100 hours for my $50 dollars, Valve is @$$raping us wtf help i'm falling |
I'm cool with the sequel so long as they don't take out those sweet trinity-in-the-matrix hunter jumps where they hang in mid-air during massive lag.
Because that shit was unbelievably funny. Could use more camera rotation around it next time though. |
I don't even want to talk about the first two rounds, that shit was un-fucking-playable for me. It stopped on the last round when the two dudes were holding up in the saferoom, so I don't know if I was having some sort of specific issue with one of the other guys or what. Probably with big titties.
|
It's ok because Kyndig goes into hyper-asshole/idiot mode when games become unplayable and I couldn't stop laughing.
He was like a kid in a candy store during LAGFEST '09, it's the only reason I didn't suggest quitting. "I'm a smoker, Im a smoker gonna sing my smoker song" god. |
Daravon missed the best part.
After we were done, I logged off the Live Group we were in and got defaulted back to the L4D lobby, and what do I hear? Tails: (to random player) "...show you the shape of Italy." I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. |
Oh, and do you PC dudes ever have a problem with not getting the music cues? Daravon's been swearing up and down he doesn't hear the Tank music anymore, and I miss it too every now and again. Sound settings seem fine.
|
It's weird, because I used to have that problem just occasionally, but over the past week or so every single game we've played I have not heard the tank music at all, and it's fucked me (and the team) a couple times because of it. GOD FORBID Kyndig call it out when it starts after I ask like 5 times. I think LeHah said he was having it happen sometimes now too?

But then I changed the Tank theme to Caramelldansen so it's pretty distinct over the general din. |

The story I heard was that a witch had somehow gotten stuck somewhere and glitched the whole game. Infinitely looping the witches music. However, because one special zombie's music can't be overridden, they didn't see the tank come at all, and he completely annihilated them. Yeah, it's kinda like that. |
well I guess after reading the official new from steam I jumped a little bit to fast to conclusion.
L4D2 seam really a good upgrade to the already good L4D. and SailorDaravon manage to made me realize how much stupid my comment was, yeah >.> and if L4D2 is has good then the first one, then I guess it will just be more fun. It's not like the first one will become obsolete anytime soon. I still think that its kind of soon, but its probably just me, use to now game taking longer to make. I guess its a good point that Valve is able to make quality game in that short period. |
I know if you get boomed right before the tank arrives you won't hear the music. I imagine there's similar issues with the Witch.
SD, do you install the game in any way on your 360? If you were on a PC I'd recommend reinstalling to see if that helps, but I don't know if there's anything like that on a 360. Also, goddamn, the past two days I've played there's always been at least one person on the other team that intentionally kills themself/gets raped so they just get to play as infected. And they invariably suck as infected, so it's not even like they're having a good time raping us. Additional Spam: I just hit up the L4D website and saw they put some info on their blog that hasn't been mentioned here. Quote:
I also wonder if they'll port the original L4D maps in to the new game so you can try it out with melee and new items. Edit again! Quote:
