It'll probably the same as with MGS2. First episode introduces "Old" Snake and gives you all the background on the setting, get you in the game, etc. Then Snake dies/commits suicide and along comes Raiden to save the day.

Or - and this could be a nice suprise - Raiden will actually turn out to be the bad guy.

If he's got nanomachines and his change is Patriot related, he might have no choice in being a 'bad guy.'

Also, I don't know how I missed it before but the Gamespot synopsis reminded me: he's a lot like Casshern. Even the new color of the suit is like Casshern's.

Haha, that would be a nice surprise. But highly unlikely. I'm willing to bet that Raiden's mission is to find Olga's child, as the conceptual sketchs hinted this.

They're all just easy shots. Seriously though, I liked Raiden and I could never understand everyone's animosity towards him. Now everyone and their grandpapa want to play as him. Sure pulled a quick one Kojima. Kudos.

Haha, you're right it does looks like him. Even the way his the eye pieces retract is every similar to Casshern's mouth piece.

It seems like the legs are the weak point, seeing as they bled a little when he shot them and once Raiden was done they looked like a side of ham. Maybe later in the game when you get stronger weapons you'll be able to at least stun them for a while to make your escape, if not destroy them completely.

Was it just me, or did the graphics seem a little...different than the trailers from last year? Don't get me wrong, they are still fucking amazing. Hell, they don't even really seem worse, just different. I don't know, it's almost like they had a more 'artistic' quality to them...

Or it could just be that the video I watched wasn't of the highest quality...

I think the missiles on the sides of their head is another weakness. As Raiden showed by turning the Gekko's guns toward em.

I definitely think it's just the quality of the trailer. Can't wait till the high res/def trailer hits the net/magazines, as this one doesn't do the graphics justice.

If only the PS3's controller was as capable as the Wii's, we could be slicing down Metal Gears playing as Raiden. That would be the only instance where people would choose to play as Raiden over Snake. Unless Snake himself carried a sword.

Snake isn't really a sword lover; hence how Raiden got his sword from Snake in SOL. Plus Snake with a sword just isn't....Snake.

That would be funny though, seeing Snake with a sword.
