I need to pick it up again also... I hate being busy with classes. <_<

I am however...:
Holy crap, sucks when Shinji dies. I got him to level 47 and he DIES right after I finish that?! Damn you, Shin Megami Tensei!!

Gechmir Sep 18, 2007 11:17 AM

Holy crap. I clicked on that spoiler without thinking ;_; NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Metal Sphere Sep 18, 2007 01:16 PM

Ouch, and of all spoilers to accidentally click on, it had to be one of the bigger ones. Damn

Spoiler:
After I got over being sad about Shinji dying, I pumped my fist and whispered "Boosh!" to myself in celebration because I never bothered levelling him (or Aigis or Koromaru or Ken or Junpei) up. Truly a somber victory for lazy gamers everywhere.

GAH!:
BLASPHEMY! IF ANYONE YOU SHOULD RAISE A LEVEL TO, IT'S KOROMARU!

And, sorry! They are spoilers for a reason. :tpg:

Gechmir Sep 19, 2007 08:54 PM

I know. I dunno WHY I clicked on it... ;( Too busy looking at threads where spoilers are harmless to me... :sigh:

Chaotic Sep 19, 2007 09:12 PM

Yeah, I have a horrible tendency to do that also. To make me feel better about myself is question what would happen leading up to that certain event that was just spoiled for you. When you finally figure it out, you finally feel a lot less horrible about it.

October:
That was a sad moment in the game and was totally thrown out of left field. And to see how Akihiko acted on the day after was even more sad. x_x;; Ugh, I didn't like Shinji's persona very much anyways but it was still sad...

Currently at 85hrs @ 10/1x (forgot exactly) though since the optional boss can only be fought on a second playthrough (damn you Atlus USA!) I'm going to probably poor in another 80hrs or so. :><:

Worth every minute though!

The Plane Is A Tiger Sep 21, 2007 12:03 PM

Could someone give the month that Chaotic's spoiler refers to, at least? I'm really curious as to what he said, but I don't want to spoil anything for myself if it's beyond the beginning of December.

Aardark Sep 21, 2007 12:42 PM

It's October, I think.

And yes, if you use the [spoil] tags, please indicate what the spoiler refers to, so that people wouldn't have to guess whether it will spoil something for them or not.

Something I noticed when you fuse you can reset and keep fusing until the Persona you want turns up with an item. I only did it once but after a reset or two my Unicorn had an item inside. I don't know if I was just lucky or it's relatively easy. I haven't been doing much fusing because I'm working on getting high Social Link bonuses for some of the ones I want to make.
Finally I can fuse some Persona with multi-hit magic spells~

Name: Modified Sculpture
Floor #: 36
HP: 850
SP: 500
Block: Wind, Light, Darkness
Skill: Garula, Maha Garula, Dekunda, Rakukaja, Poison Mist, Dia

Equip Persona like Gurr or Fortuna. Other than that, you need skills like
Rakunda for its Rakukaja and Tarunda to reduce damage from its wind magic.
Akihiko has Tarunda and as for Rakunda, Pixie or Chimera has it. Since it has
no weakness, you will depend on Critical to inflict Down on it then you can
Total Attack. Lastly, make sure you prepare Dis Poison as well.

My two cents::
Get the two Jacks(Frost and Pyro). Together they have this ability called Jack Brothers, which, at a medium rate, can knock down an enemy. If you're willing to risk the SP and the chance of it missing, go for it.

Thanks, after fusing the Jacks I managed to get it knocked down enough so I was actually able to finish it off. The Jack bros have a handy skill.

It's easier to get items out of persona when it is before and after a full/new moon. I think the chances of getting a heart jumps from something like 30% to 70%. Though I forgot where I read that.

I edited my spoiler tag and also the spoiler that Chaotic is talking about IS in October.

Chaotic Oct 2, 2007 05:18 PM

Long needed update.

Seriously, this one is a spoiler. If you don't want to be spoiled, then don't like the damn Show button.:
The events in November and October are crazy as hell! >.< Chidori's death, Ryoji's identity, and the small part of the main character's history. DAMN.

The Plane Is A Tiger Oct 5, 2007 08:15 PM

Again, a date or at least month for the spoiler would be nice. From October to the end of the game is a pretty wide range for it to refer to.

rpgcrazied Oct 19, 2007 06:15 PM

I think im gonna get this game tomorrow. The only thing that bugs me.. is this so called time limit? But, I hear you can put 110hours into it.. so obiviously its not a short time limit.

I loved the other SMT games, so Im sure ill like this one. One thing though, I havent played 1 or 2(PSX games) will i understand whats going on?

Kaelin Oct 19, 2007 06:23 PM

Well you're limited by the number of months you have in the game. I haven't completed it yet, but from my understanding you start the game in April and it ends in December or early January.

Time during the day doesn't pass in real time so you don't have to worry about rushing around to get everything done, it just takes some planning ahead since certain actions will take you from morning to afternoon, and from afternoon to evening.

Everyday except Sunday is a school day (unless it's summer vacation or a holiday) and thus your morning to afternoon time will always be taken up by classes. When Afternoon/After School hits, you're free to go stock up on items, and then choose whether you want to hang out with a friend to improve their social link, take part in an activity which will improve your intelligence, courage, or charisma, or just forward the game to evening by heading straight to the dorm.

From evening you can either sleep, study, partake in some activities that are available only in the evening and sometimes only on certain days to improve your courage or charisma, or go to Tartarus. After you're done with any of the following activities the next day will begin.

Does time stand still when your fighting/training? Like if i wanted to grind for a couple hours.. do i need to worry about the time limit?

Basically, you go into the dungeon at night to train. You can stay there as long as you want, but you and the other party members get tired, which lowers fighting abilities. In the case other party members get tired, they will leave, but you can stay forever if you wish, though it is not recommended.

However, on the night before the full moon, no one will get tired, so you can use those nights to train however much you want. So really, there's not much of a time limit overall.

rpgcrazied Oct 19, 2007 07:00 PM

k.. well im going to get it tomorrow.. my gamestop actually has a few copies.. kinda rare, knowing atlus release 10 copies of their games. I still cant find nocturne or the devil saga games ;/

Elixir Oct 19, 2007 08:59 PM

About_Me

Persona 3 "expansion edition" was listed on this site, and this is an English VA.

It was removed though, supposedly because Atlus found out about it. Make of it what you will.

rpgcrazied Oct 19, 2007 09:09 PM

Did he VA one of the chars or something? id hate to just buy persona 3, and this expansion come out.. that'd id have to rebuy.

Elixir Oct 19, 2007 09:29 PM

Do you have any clue what an expansion even remotely is? At all?

valiant Oct 20, 2007 03:40 PM

rpgcrazied Oct 20, 2007 10:18 PM
