I really don't see why everyone is bashing this FFXII ps2... you know that we have almost the same thing here and they called it console bundle (you know when you buy a new console and in come with 1 or 2 game ????) it's exatly the same thing as that but I think it's even better because the console is different, so yes it's a collector thing (for the logo on the ps2) but it's still just a bundle >.>

This might sound ridiculous, but I'm pissed. It sucks when you have waited like, what is it now, four or five years for a game and you already have at least one, possibly two big things spoiled.

Posts in question are #27 and #65. #27's last point is about the boss (I think), and #65 is about the other thing. Use google translator if you cannot understand. #27 seems thrown into a post about other misc. gameplay details.

#65 seems to say that what it describes MAY happen but it has not been confirmed, only speculated. At least, when you translate it to English, that's what it seems to say. That it isn't made "valid" or something like that.

Wow, that FFXII wiki is shaping up nicely so I guess it's a matter of time until an English speaking player will beat it and hopefully sometime go over the translations and such.

At the same time, I probably won't read that site again as it's bound to have lots of spoilers throughout the dialogue. Herm.

For HDLoader lovers, apparently a patch has been posted on 2chan, so it's a japanese patch and there's not much about it yet, and japanese exe don't work on US windows xp :/

That place had all kinds of spoilers including the ending before the game was even officially released in Japan.

I haven't read 2chan since the 13th/14th and I am not going back. I'm sure the place is now cluttered with even more spoilers. However I have been told the post I came across was rather generic and really didn't spoil much. And much of everything else I read was speculation that was not yet validated.

Aren't japanese exe's typically fed through some kind of extraction which isn't winrar/winamp? I remember downloading some videos and it extracted it via something called "moz1."

Or that could of been .lzh files, same deal. I've never had any problems opening japanese exes myself, but you could try right clicking on said exe and making it compatible with 98 or 2k, that might solve your problem.

Make sure it's an exe, lol. :<

The easiest way around it is just to use AppLocal to change the regional setting, and so that you can open and play Jap games ;)

EDIT: As for .lzh it is just one of another preferred Japanese compressing type. Most zip programs can open them~

As for that Wiki, if you don't want to get spoiled dont see it, coz SigelX will translate most of the FMV dialogues and event dialogues.

I am quite happy about the levelling up system, 'grid system' it works beautifully~ To the point that you just want to save up all your LPs so you can get the skills you want ^ ^

Those images look great! I think the PS2 has finally peaked in terms of what it can produce visually.

Interesting enough, some of FFXII's Limit Breaks (particularly Ashe's) reference Special Knight Class Skills from FFT.

I just got the game and I have to say that I love it!! System, graphic, music, plot everything hit the 10/10 for me. Still I was playing only for 2 hours but already I can fell the fantasy =)

The pictures of the final boss was posted on March 17, about a day after the release (but they probably got hold of the game earlier).

And now the FMVs of the ending are already posted a day later (March 18).

Well you always can get on Mission screen and hit Square for map location of your destination =D. For now I don't have much trouble with game =) Still more translations would be great!!
