Nah, you don't get a chance too because he is quick. That Magic I told you about hits all parties with rocks coming from the sky doing a damage of 4500. Everytime I would revive a character with phoenix down, my other party that revived him would be killed. It was like a continuous circle.

I managed to get a couple hit, but I had to switch to axes b/c my Ultima Sword, Ragnorak and Save the Queen, the LV99 Red Chocobo was doing Parrity. I was furious. Couldn't believe I lost to a dang bird. I got a couple blocks here and there when I switch to shields aswell, but it didn't last.

If there is any way, next time, hopefully, I am using MIST ASAP. I think that is the only way to do it.

I'm thinking to just do the hunts and yazamat, leaveing aside the espers (but i already did some, such as chaos, the one in miriam, bhareim, zestina, and so on).
Do you think it will be possible? Right now i use as weapons: zodiac, masamune and ultima. Do i have chances to kill yazamat?
And what's the easiest way to get the sagittarius?

With the Zodiac Spear, Masamune and Ultima Blade it is definitely possible to kill Yiazmat.

I didn't understand very well how the masamune damage is decided, so, does bravery increase the damage with masamune? Or should i use faith, or must i use both in orther to increase it's damage?

And what is the sword that gilgamesh drops on the ground? Can't remember it.

Hey Lionking-Cyan, try fighting the LV99 Red Chocobo. He'll give you a run for your money.

Hey does anyone know howe to get Wargod's Band or Hell-Gates Flame? Everytime I try to stell or poach from Leynir(in Nebreus Deadland), I always get Ivalice Caprece and everytime I try to steal or poach from Cerberus in Feywood I always get fire crystal.

Those are two items that require a lot of patience. For the Hell-Gates Flame, just keep trying to steal and then kill them. I once went about an hour with nothing from the Cerberus and then all of the suuden got like 5 in 19 minutes. Don't use poach for those, it's basically wasting time. Keep trying to chain and zone and they will eventually pop up. As for the Wargod's band, it didn't take me all that long. No little tricks though, just have thief cuff's and steal before you kill them so you will double your chances.

Well then, I'm gonna go ahead and say that your whole party better damn well be Level 99 if you take on Yiazmat.

Is it possible to get a 2nd Tournesol against him? I already got one with Vaan, and he deals 9999 damage without Bravery. But my other chararcters aren't dealing enough damage with the other lower class weapons. Zodiac Spear = no chance in getting it since I opened the chests that should not have been touched.

It also stinks that Yiazmat absorbs holy damage, so Excalibur is out of the picture.

2 more questions: Which damn vendor sells armor that halves (or better) the wind damage by Cyclone?
And where can I purchase the Renew spell? Still haven't gotten it...

Pretty sure you can have a 2nd Tournsol. Short just a couple items for it myself but haven't found the time to go "hunting" for some rare items lately.

As for spell and armor, the armor your looking for is the Windbreaker and can be bought in Rabanastre. The Renew spell you can find at the Dalmasca Westersand.

Choco Comet is the same attack that the Trickster elite mark can use on you. While I have yet to fight that Chocobo, I would assume Reflect does nothing since it didn't help against Trickster.

Stupid Baknamy on the way to the Zodiac Spear. Level 38 isn't making this any easier.

Bubble spell or Bubble Belt is definetely recommended

All 3 party members:

1- Ally:any Arise
2- Ally:HP < 50% Curaja
3- Ally:any Haste/Hastega
4- Ally: nearest visible Attack

Basically, all you need to do is attack and heal. But his attack varies around 5000-6000 damage even with Protect on so I'm assuming he ignores defense. When he is at HP Critical status, Expose tecknick may help out. Personally, I think Omega is harder than Yiazmat because Omega is kind of fast with dealing attacks and causes random Berserk status when attacking.

If 2 of your party members die, you may want to Flee at a safe distance and revive a character, then cast Haste/Hastega since Omega will regain his health if you don't fight him for some time, then rebuff them.

Oh I'm hunting the Trickster on a different saved file(different memory card) but can't make it appear

....and I finally beaten Mateus last night it took i think half an hour to beat it and the annoying part was the sap,GAWD that was an annoying battle.......and I can't belive that the sword of kings has 30 attack damage and I thought it was gonna be like a powerful sword like around 100-135 damage....

Trickster's not too bad to get to appear. Just zone in and out and your ally will eventually remark that it's out. Heading straight south out of Mount Bur-Omisace is how I got to it--showed up on the second rezone.

As to Mateus, I must have been really overpowered when I fought it. Just shot a Quickening off and one-shotted it and all its minions. Though, no such luck on the elite marks. ;_;

Yeah, in hard optional bosses curaja is the way. Since i don't wanna change the gambit setup everytime, i disable curaga and cast curaja manually.

What would the damage on yazamat be with a fomahault and dark shot? Is it a good idea?

sometimes theres cheats for FFXll that gives infinite HP,and MP BUT that will take all the fun out of the game and you'll never learn from when you been defeated....Like on Final Fantasy Vlll I got a gameshark for play station,max out everything and keeped my lvl at 20 and I was still deafeated by the Omega WEAPON or I think it was the Ultima WEAPON...when you fight it at Ultimicia's castle...Sorry to change the subject

Hell NO. Fomalhaut is so weak vs Yiazmat (Ashe + Fomalhaut = 1500 - 2000 damage). The best 3 weapons vs this rigged bastard is Tournesol, Ragnarok, and Zodiac Spear. And since most of Yiazmat's attacks do area of effect damage, having 3 sword users (melee) is NOT a good idea. You need to have a ranged spellcaster, so I suggest Fran with the Sag Bow.
The character thats got the Tournesol better have strength-based armor and the Power Armlet (Immune:Stop). Beserk/Haste/Bravery/Bubble/Decoy them so that they can land 2-3 hit combos or better. Even an attack of 9999 will only diminish Yiazmat's healthbar by a sinch.

I really wish there was a way to break the damage limit like in FFX, where the summons could do excess of 9999 damage with the Celestial weapons in place.

I've also switched to that Nicropaloa (whatever it's called) accessory, and I casted Remedy on Yiazmat. He's immune to everything except Expose.

As far as short range weapons go, I think the best weapon for Yiazmat are Masamune or Yagyu Darkblade. Also, I remember Fomalhaut was still not so weak with dark shorts since Yiazmat's weekness is dark.

However, as I've not played FFXII for over 6 months and I know nothing of the US or EU port, please don't take my post serioulsy.

I just defeated Hell Wyrm..dude was way too easy but took forever to knock his big but down.

By the way, how do you get to Yiazmat??? Do you have to complete the entire hunt because the only one I have left is "Behemoth King."

Congrats on the Hellwyrm, yea he is pretty easy. It didn't take all that long for me, I just turned up the battle speed of the fight, went by in no time. Anyways the answer to your questin is yes, once all of the hunts are completed then you will have unlocked Yizmat. Just go and speak to Montblanc for the bill.

Actually, you can fight Yiazmat without having beaten the Seer.

Really? Ohhhh that's right. I now remember you had beaten Yizzy before the Seer hunt. I wonder why that is? I thought I had read somewhere that all of the hunts had to be completed before he would show as a Mark.

Piccolo, are you going for any sort of completion with the game or are you basically through with XII now?
