The series is called The Legend of Condor Hero. Season 1 was such a flop in Japan that Nippon Animation gave it all to Jade Animation, and was never renewed in Japan. It was quite successful in China however, and the Cantonese/Mandarin version has aired three seasons worth already.

Needless to say production values and animation quality took a nosedive after episode 26 (apparently the Chinese studio sucks in tweening)...
