Oh my bad my bad, because Garr had posted before me in my mind it seemed to have already been stated that Garr was going before Gordok. I should have posted that Gordok goes after Garr this round.
Do things make more sense now that I've told you that was how I saw it happening? I had assumed it was already known Garr was going before Gordok. That's the only reason Gordok was able to stand and get a shift out of it b/c Garr was over him, yeah? |
Ah well. In the end all the enemies that should be dead are dead and the gnoll would've reached you even if you were another space back, so let's call it a wash.
|
Oh, I'm perfectly fine with the results. And thank you so much for your help in all this. I've learned a lot.
Not that it would make much of a difference but I believe Gordok should be at C18 due to getting two shifts. |

Acer, I guess you can use Second Chance this time :)
Though consciousness still depends on how lucky the Gnoll AND Framarth get :tpg: Every living ally helps, since we can still force-feed Garr his potions... |
So, uh
Gordok's HP is at -4 And Framarth's attack deals 2d8+4 damage, which is to say it deals 20 damage on a crit and Gordok dies at -24 And I experimentally rolled the Second Chance on the gnoll attack just in case And it didn't help Soooo does anybody have any bright ideas :( |
Yes. We summon Baphomet to kill these duergar interlopers.
You've been very lucky, Framarth. Three twenties on EACH of your attacks?! Gordok has -24 HP on a total of 49 HP. That is -48.98% of his total. D&D says to round down, so -48%. |
THAT IS NOT HOW YOU ROUND DOWN
However, time machining is in progress and Gordok may yet be saved. Please refrain from touching the ingame thread until the all-clear is sounded, as otherwise a time paradox may occur. |
HELL YEAH I AM H.G. WELLS YOU ASSHOLES
ACER YOU OWE ME A BEER |
ALL CLEAR
I REPEAT, ALL CLEAR NO HOBBITSES HAVE KICKED THE BUCKET ALL REPORTS TO THE CONTRARY ARE FALSE AND MALICIOUS CONTINUE GAMING AS NORMAL WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AT WAR WITH |
Pang, Skills convinced me that it's illegal to do conditional activation of poisoned weapon so long after the fact, so just a heads up that I've edited my post to poison the naughty little devil.
|
Roger roger.
In "that's illegal" news, it's also illegal for Gordok to delay his turn until after Garr's when he's unconscious. Quote:
EDIT: went ahead and rolled Gordy's death save in post #454, he's stable. Go ahead, Garr (you're prone/bloodied, natch) |
Well, there's nothing in our planned pipeline that includes resuscitating Gordok this turn, so I guess he'll have to take his death saving throw...
EDIT: Oh man, Pang. You couldn't get a crit out of it? :3: WHO DOES THE FORUM DICE FAVOR? (Starting from when Pang rolled initiative in the encounter). Code:
No. of Thrown Total |
I don't think so... it looked like you just sent an entire copy of the CB that had been patched, and i didn't feel like just replacing my CB with yours. I imagine if one replaced all of one's own files with yours, it might work, but whatever, it's not that critical as far as i can tell.

Oh, and I'm torn between Elemental Tempest and the Assault Swordmage specific Paragon path, so... there would be even less defense. |
Ah well, so long as you're occupying the enemies with your crazy moves, so that Cal can happily thwip his arrows unmolested, that should still work out :)
I actually created an Assault Swordmage in Character Builder for kicks and giggles. He's a crazy tank with higher AC and HP than Garrmondo, and has Aegis of Ensnarement, go fig. |
|
But I'm lying to him!
Cal sucks at diplomacy I'm thinking I may want to move to B15 to prevent Framarth's area attacks from hitting Gordok, should he center it on me. Will I take an AoO from the Devil? Also, I remember you rolled a secondary attack to inflict ongoing poison and slow before. Was that house-ruled later on? |

Coffee THEN D&D, Pang. Alright, it still hit. No harm done. |
Ok. I was hoping not because he last used a ranged attack. Damn natural weapons and my compassion for Gordok!
I'm doing Twin Strike, will that trigger two AoOs? EDIT: Wait, an attack roll of 4 hits? Daaaamn. |
No, you can only perform one AoO per turn.
|
I rolled for damage, but now I'm not sure how many dice to use. You've used 3d6 and 2d6 on the same occasion, so I guess you do the damage roll against Cal.
Additional Spam: OK Fine. I changed the dialogue. Does Bluff work that way then? :3: |
Hey, Pang, can you show me where Framarth is in relationship to G-unit? Maybe even another updated zoomed-out map?
|
I can't, actually, because none of you have a line of sight to him.
I'm bein' all simulationist. You know that he went south and was crawling, so it shouldn't be hard to narrow it down |
But um....I can sustain/move the weapon without a target, right, Pang?
Right? :eagletear: |
