I have you to thank for that particular bit of meta-knowledge!

Whew. Drawing the ruin card would make Cal go :emo: Now that Gary's gonna draw, Pang's gonna give him something nice I'm sure.

The unmovable stubborn Jul 18, 2010 10:24 PM

I already rolled for the card before you went all "Let Gary Do It", so whatever fate you've put on his little green shoulders was already preordained.

Zergrinch Jul 18, 2010 10:56 PM

By the way, may I ask what you used to generate those power cards for the wiki? Except for Glenn and Puyet's Utility Powers, they don't look like screenshots from the pdfs, nor do they look like Character Builder output.

The unmovable stubborn Jul 18, 2010 11:11 PM

Everything's screenshots from the Compendium except for Glenn/Puyet's Skill Powers, since skill powers don't show up in the Compendium for some dumbass reason.

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Jul 19, 2010 12:16 PM

You guys need a new name for your team. G-Unit's a bit redundant now most of your names don't start with G any more (Plus the sinister rape robot has left).

The unmovable stubborn Jul 21, 2010 01:01 AM

I thought I made the "it will change if you fuck with it" motif of the room pretty clear :(

Skexis Jul 21, 2010 08:25 PM

So, for rules purposes, do we still have telepathy within the group, or do we not "know" what's happening to Garrmondo at the moment?

The unmovable stubborn Jul 21, 2010 08:36 PM

Well, the rules don't really give a shit what you do or don't know out-of-character, and it's not like you could actually DO a whole lot about his situation as it stands so as far as I'm concerned the "telepathy" can stay for now.

Better to sneak this in under the radar while the 4th wall is still reeling from I TAKE THE LASER RIFLE

Gra-fra-zut - Genasi swordmage

Genasi - Academic Exhibit
As a child, he lived a happy life in an underwater Genasi enclave, but always liked to explore. One day he was snatched up and spirited away to a large estate owned by an intellectual who liked to study oddities. Gra-fra-zut was his first elemental being, and, as such, he was poked and prodded and forced to show off his nature to the man's friends. Even though he kept the boy for years, he never understood that you couldn't force a Genasi to start manifesting a new element, and came up with ever more elaborate methods of torture and magics to attempt to bring this change about, making the being in his possession more and more mean and unstable. His only mistake was allowing the (now-adolescent) Gra-fra-zut to grab a sword. The touch of his hand on the blade awoke something within the young man... a spark of power. There wasn't much left of his captor when he left the esate.
(+2 to Arcana)

Occupation - Mariner
The newly freed Genasi found himself in a large port town, and signed on to work on a ship as a navigator and scout, feeling that his ability to breathe underwater could be a boon there. It turned out that the ship he joined had a couple of travelers who understood his connection to his sword and started to train him to make good use of his new skill. They were the only people on the ship Gra-fra-zut actually liked, although the sailors enjoyed his mean-spirited sense of humor quite a bit. The captain was a cheapskate, though, and it wasn't long until he refused to pay up for the Genasi's work. So he left the ship. At sea. In the middle of a storm. Made a few holes in the underbelly too. Fuck those assholes.

Occupation - Entertainer
Gra-fra-zut spent the next year wandering the land, using his sword to earn his pay, mostly to help people who had been downtrodden. Eventually, he met up with a group of traveling musicians, and hired on as a bodyguard. It wasn't long until he picked up a recorder, and learned that he really wasn't bad at it. He still kept them safe, but he also got to play with them at times. It was fun, but, after a few years with them, he felt it was time to move on. They parted amicably (helped along by the fact that Gra-fra-zut had begun to manifest fire, which had softened his meanness considerably), and he went on his way. He kept the recorder with him, though, and still plays it sometimes at night.

(Note: I changed his name)

Party size expanded to 6 purely to secure a solid 2/3 majority of G-men: confirmed.

And with that, here's the July Character Builder Update just in time for it to be completely useless!

Zergrinch Jul 23, 2010 05:59 PM

Pang, do you happen to have the July 20 Adventure Tools update? :)

The unmovable stubborn Jul 23, 2010 07:15 PM

I have it, yes, but not in a form that is useful to anyone else. :(

Zergrinch Jul 23, 2010 07:17 PM

Dang. No searchable monster manual 3 monsters, updated monster stat blocks, and monsters with the new damage math.

Oh well, maybe it'll pop up soon on torrent sites :(

Gra-fa-zut - GFF Dungeons and Dragons

Your wiki reference, wvlf, replete with the magic equipment that you're all entitled to at creation but for some reason never pick out for yourselves. Feel free to just write yourself into any of the three current scenes at your leisure, or else I'll find a place to drop you in within a day or two.

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Jul 24, 2010 06:31 PM

I'd join Garr. Hanging out with Zerg is a nasty death waiting to happen.

wvlfpvp Jul 24, 2010 08:30 PM

Put me in with Garr, seeing as how I have a nice intro planned to meeting him. Say about 10 tomorrow morning'd work for me.

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Jul 26, 2010 07:05 PM

That character builder thing is quite fun, hurry up and kill seven people so I can join in again.

Scent of a Grundle Jul 27, 2010 12:36 AM

I apologize in advance if i suddenly stop posting, my internet has been really spotty of late.

Pang, i'm trying to visualize how the wheels are set. can Glenn see the entire face of the wheels or are they half buried in the platform?

I want to back up the sequence and join or retrieve Garr and our new friend, but i'm not sure how attached Cal and Puyet are to exploring their surroundings. I suppose we could also split up the party and have Glenn and Gheth investigate the third world, presuming there is one, and see if we all meet up at the end somewhere or just wander the maze for eternity. y'know, either way.
