Controllers have analog features that can make the PC or console tell if you're holding it hard or soft, Keyboard keys can't do that.

Try re config your Keyboard settings. Maybe that might help.

If its an actual slow down, like slow motion effect, than tweak your graphic settings and lower your resolution.

Lukage Nov 4, 2006 05:58 PM

No, simply that the movement has no way to "toggle" run..and it should be running automatically. I'll just see what tech support says. Meanwhile I'll use the gamepad for the SP.

Lacerta Nov 4, 2006 06:04 PM

I just started a Human Ranger, and I love it.

Dunno if I will still touch my Force outside of gathering materials and abusing luck day

Miles Nov 4, 2006 06:32 PM

You'll make your force sad. =(

Well, I'll force you to level your force when you play with me.

Dr. Uzuki Nov 4, 2006 06:41 PM

I have to say, all the force puns I'm seeing around are getting kind of tired. Yes, I know, we are a FORCE to be reckoned with. Just stop it already, jeez.

Sega needs to add some new content. Dragon runs, relic runs, temple runs, LL runs... I've done them all two dozen times by now.

IF YOU EVER PLAY >=00000

Also I was turned off by the Giga spells costing 12500 Meseta a piece :( (looked at screenshots)

I have a feeling we won't be seeing much more than that. Even with the new planet, it might add two new small areas to do runs in. To me it's just like a slightly bigger PSO. I was REALLY hoping for more levels overall, that was the only major flaw with PSO and they didn't fix it here.

Lacerta Nov 4, 2006 07:18 PM

Yes, eventually it will move to Neudaiz Relic Runs, Moatoob Relic Runs, LL S-Rank runs, Dragon S-Rank runs, etc. etc.

I don't think anything is going to radically change anytime soon, but I'm content with how it is.

I have a question. If two people wanted to play this, would I need to get two PC copies and two Hunters Licenses (or whatever its called now...Guardian license?). My brother bought the 360 version but I don't want to buy another 360 and an another copy of PSU plus live and other stuff.

People who have the PC version cannot play with people who have the 360 version. I'd see if your brother could get a copy for PC instead.

I'm not sure how their EULA works in regards to household licensing. Likely you do have to buy 1 copy per PC legally. Additionally you'd need Guardian's licenses for each. However, the game doesn't have a CD-key and doesn't stop you from using a single copy per household (which might be legally okay anyway). You will still need 2 Guardian licenses though.

There's more stuff to look forward to. The second update on the JP servers introduced some online-exclusive content a few weeks ago.

My only fear is their taking too long to start implementing the update schedule. I hope they move things forward after this weekend.

Is PSU's offline comparable to its online like it was in PSO? Or is there a bigger difference?

Inhert Nov 5, 2006 02:21 AM

well i just did 4 lv in one night ^^ so now I'm lv 14 and found the twin dagger to be really amusing and waste about 10000 to make a weapon that fail even with 81% of success rate, so that's the last time I will even try to synth something...

Lacerta Nov 5, 2006 02:44 AM

Synthesis is frustrating, but it is kind of worth it.

4* B-Rank weapon is 8600 from the shop, but you can buy the board for 4300 and have 3 chances to make them. Of course you could be cursed and fail all 3 chances or something >____>

But if it succeeds you can have a killer weapon. Unless you are a Ranger or Force, in which case you just got a cheaper weapon :P

I'd rather pay 4300 + any necessary material fees instead of 8600 x2 just to have my Rifles or Dual Guns.

Everyone says to do all Melee or Armor synthesis on your max luck day, if you add elements, since the luck you have can help determine what % of element you will get on the item.

BIGWORM Nov 5, 2006 04:03 AM

Twin Rippers is right now my favorite weapon--lvl15 Renkai Buyou-zan making it more so. I'm currently lvl26 thanks to lots of Relics C and Dragon B runs. I happened to stumble across a Claymore (B class) with 20% Fire for 4300 in a shop, which is godly, seeing that a Claymore alone is 8600 vendor price. I'm a HuCAST (:D) right now, with the Ageha-senba with Grom Buster SUV. What else should else should I put back for? Just hit lvl6 HU class btw.

If you got all the weapons you want then you should save up for shop ticket, then room decorations. Or you can buy some of the sweet parts/makeovers that the game has. :)

Lukage Nov 5, 2006 11:34 AM

Well it seems my gameplay issues earlier were relevant to my resolution settings. Apparently for their recommended settings on the game being the Radeon 8500 (GeForce MX series), they actually mean that if you want to run it on the best AGP card made by ATI, you have to lower your settings. How lame.

Game runs fine, got from level 2 to level 10 in 4 hours last night. Yay.

No, it's entirely different than PSO's offline. The single player here is worth buying even if you don't plan on playing online. It has a story, cutscenes, and characters unlike PSO's online. Infact, you don't get to make your own character until you unlock Extra Mode, the rest of the time you have to play as the main character named Ethan.

How very not nice of you to ignore me when I was saying hi Cobalt Katze. >:O

Dizzy Nov 5, 2006 03:14 PM

Sorry about the stupid question, Do you need to pay a monthly fee to play the game (ps2 version) or is it free like most ps2 online games...

Inhert Nov 5, 2006 03:49 PM

you need to pay a monthly fee only for the online game, you can play the story mode for free, but you need to pay 9.99$ for one month to play online.

Kenichi Nov 5, 2006 05:19 PM

When you first subscribe you get 15 free days if you go with a monthly payment plan, or a free month if you decide to pay every 5 months or something like that.
