thats because you have it transparent and its a gif, if it was png it might work fine, but use teh gff background and it should be fine

For the second avatar you did what I tried to do and came out with the same result. I like what you did to the first one though. The white outline is still there, but it's more smooth and acts like a "border" of sorts. Graphics aren't my thing so yeah. Thanks.

I've got a request.. I haven't made one in quite some time and I was left to make my own, with obvious ramifications.

I'd like his face down to half of the bloody maw to be made into an avatar. This is what I want for a sig. Basically, all you have to do is focus in on his face & torso. Any creative suggestions are welcome! :D

I'm in the market for a new Avatar/Sig combo and I was hoping you guys could craft me a Dream Theater combo from the following pictures or ones like it.

For the sig, I was thinking something plain and easy, with the band name featured predominantly as seen on attatchment.

For the Avatar, I would really like a cool picture of John Petrucci mashing out some intense guitar as also attatched.

Not really a request, but I saw some of the pictures that use transparencies in this thread are .jpg/.jpeg format. I used to think only .gif (and after getting Firefox) and .png pictures could have transparencies. How do you do it? I tried doing it in Paint Shop Pro (setting a palette transparency color), and the transparency turns out fine when it's still in the program, but when I save it and upload it, it never turns out transparent. Just loaded up this page in Internet Explorer and it even shows the transparency for the .jpg files, wow. I never knew. Tell me your secrets, please. Even when I save a transparent .jpg from here and load it onto Paint Shop Pro (version 7) and doesn't even show the transparency, boo.

Here's the trick:

1) Save the sig I made up there, open it with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and you'll understand.
or
2) Right click, copy URL, paste URL on IE to get to the source and you'll understand.
or
3) Quote me. See the color code? Sorry, I'm feeling a little playful today ~_^
