Nah, I don't see that happening. The thing about Sgt. Slaughter is that he was always somewhat patriotic (not as over-expressive about it as Hacksaw Jim Duggan was). He's always blaring stuff about the U.S.

Trish, on the other hand, is Canadian, and definitely more popular than Slaughter among her fellow Canadians. Plus, it's a rare treat we see her nowadays in the WWE, so I'm sure they'd wanna keep her going good with the fans.

dagget Sep 11, 2009 03:00 PM

Well Jeff Hardy probably won't be back in WWE ever again:

Quote:

Jeff Hardy has been arrested for possession of anabolic steroids and a number of pills, reports ThePilot.com, a local newspaper from Moore County where Jeff Hardy is located.

The following is from the article:

"Hardy, 32, of 265 Boys Camp Road, Cameron, was arrested after a search of his residence yielded 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and items of drug paraphernalia..."

He's currently in Moore County jail with bail set at $125,000. Hardy was charged with felony trafficking in opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
At least he got to be top dog twice.

mortis Sep 11, 2009 05:10 PM

And to think just ten days ago the WWE was begging him to stay.

Here we go again with another "pretend this guy didn't exist" thing.

Hardy is in big time trouble here.

SuperNova Sep 11, 2009 07:14 PM

You know what's sad? If you had asked me last week to put money on if he'd get busted for drugs during his 'hiatus' I would have in a heartbeat. I got a feeling part of the reason he wanted time off was to be able to do stuff and not get tested for it.

Drugs are a hard thing to kick, and especially living the life a wrestler does... on the road, trying to curb the pain of what he does day in and day out, trying to keep your body in decent aesthetic shape for the camera. I'm not saying this as an excuse for what he's done, but at least you see how a lot of wrestlers get caught up in that vicious cycle.

dagget Sep 11, 2009 07:49 PM

I'm actually wondering if he knew it was going to happen, which is why he kept refusing to renew his contract like that. Sort of "owning up" to it.

Apparently he's going to make some kind of statement and saying something about the news was blown out of proportion.

SuperNova Sep 12, 2009 07:16 PM

Sorry, but 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and items of drug paraphernalia isn't really blown out of proportion. =\

dagget Sep 12, 2009 09:04 PM

Rofl you know this and I do too. I'm just wondering how it'll all play out. Bottom line is that he's probably done forever in Vince's eyes. Which is just fine. He can go back to TNA and work a lighter schedule so he won't have to be doped up to deal with that 320 day (or whatever it is) schedule Vince enforces.

Except TNA wasn't even less work..remember the no-shows?

mortis Sep 12, 2009 10:12 PM

If TNA takes him back, then they will lose all credibility and a great deal of sponsorship. Kurt Angle? Yeah, a black eye, BUT Angle at least has his side of the story, and supposedly proof to show his innocence. For Jeff, IF he is convicted, serves time, then comes back and is promoted as a top star in TNA, they will be hit hard with sponsorship.

Now granted, IF Jeff proves his innocence, then yeah, he would be welcome in TNA, BUT if that were the case, I think we all know Vince would get him first.

I really, REALLY hope Jeff has some sort of really good explanation on all of this. It would be a shame to see someone who after years finally made it to the top, and after going out on top, come crashing down just weeks later.

Slash Sep 12, 2009 10:15 PM

WOAH WOAH WOAH!

Which TNA are you watching? TNA has absolutely NO credibility...at least TNA has no sensible writers.

So what's the TNA nightly "Fire Russo!" chant count up to nowadays anyways?

BTW, for all that don't know, watch BotchaMania on YouTube. It's truly some of the funniest stuff you can see, including Fire Russo! chants.

Your point is well spoken.

Predictions:

Punk ~ Taker - While Punk just won the title, he has been hot and cold. He has done well against the Hardy's but Taker has just pounded him. I can't see Taker tapping to Punk, so expect Taker to win here, but Punk to win it back. I think that's the direction the WWE is taking for Punk's title reigns.

Orton ~ Cena - How are we in this main event AGAIN?! Watch for Orton to win here though with some trickery. Perhaps they'd do something to cause Cena to quit.

Regal ~ Christian - Regal lost in record time last month, watch for him to win here. Also...could we see Dreamer turn on Christian?

DX Vs Legacy - DX.

Jericho / Show Vs Henry / MVP - Henry and MVP aren't a long-term team (and yes, I know Jericho and Show aren't really either) so getting the belts really won't help them here. Watch for Jericho and Show to retain.

Koji Vs The Miz - and wow, this match was JUST put on the card. Miz wins it. Koji would have lost the title to Big Show had Show not teamed up with Jericho a few months back.

Kane Vs Khali - Kane won last month, Khali wins this month. Hey Kane, you DO know the man you beat three months ago cleanly IS the world champion, right?

SuperSonic Sep 13, 2009 04:22 PM

I'm gonna go with mortis on all but two predictions:

Jericho / Show vs Henry / MVP - Honestly, I think Henry and MVP could take it right here. Then they might go on to defend the tag titles against Legacy. C'mon, Legacy needs those titles back.

Orton ~ Cena - Cena doesn't quit, Cena won't quit. Orton will. Cena will win title here.

As for the trickery, I'm willing to bet it'll be something similar to what the Rock did to Mankind in 1999 to win the title back from that I Quit match they had.

Slash Sep 13, 2009 06:14 PM

Predictions:

Punk ~ Taker - The only way I could see Punk winning is completely underhanded tactics to basically K.O. Taker, then put him in the vice, thus taker doesn't tap, and Punk won via Using cheapshots and weapons and taker becomes incapacitated.

Orton ~ Cena - For storyline, I pretty much see Cena winning because they (WWE) needs to start on the Legacy crumble storyline.

Regal ~ Christian - Wait...ECW still exists? Seriously, This is how I see it, if Regal wins, expect Kozlov and Jackson to start going after the tag titles. ECW actually has a tag team, lets see how WWE runs with it.

DX Vs Legacy - DX, mainly because this can help start the Legacy crumble storyline.

Jericho / Show Vs Henry / MVP - Henry and MVP cause we need to see cryme tyme and them go at it for some...well..nvm.

I can actually see Henry and MVP taking the titles here because I expect Cryme Tyme to assist in the steal.

Kofi Vs The Miz - (Did I miss something? Why is everyone still calling him Koji?) Umm...hmm...I think Kofi has some submission moves, I don't think Mizzy does.

Kane Vs Khali - Gee...submission style match...hmm, which of the giants has a real submission...well...which of them has a submission that looks legit and real.

SuperSonic Sep 14, 2009 12:14 PM

Man, you have got to be kidding me. Results for Breaking Point below.

Spoiler:
Another Montreal Screwjob.

Undertaker makes CM Punk tap out, but Long comes out and says that Hell's Gate was banned on Smackdown by Vickie Guerrero long ago. The match restarts, CM Punk gets his submission hold on Taker and the ref calls for the bell instantly. Punk gets his belt and makes a mad dash for the entrance along with the ref.

Cena got the belt, Kofi retains, Big Show/Jericho retains, Christian retains, Legacy upsets DX, and Kane defeats Khali.

Slash Sep 14, 2009 06:27 PM

Its good to see WWE using things that they've done in the past.

I'm saddened to see that they are using the WRONG things.

Yeah I was disappointed that they used the stupid montreal screwjob again just for ratings. What really killed it was that they were all talking about the montreal screwjob prior to breaking point.

Spoiler:
I wish Chris Jericho slapped Beth Phoenix for insulting Canada or atleast added some kind of scene he would've seemed offended for Beth's comments. Good to see Stratusfaction but the Toronto crowd didn't seem too into it.

Slash Sep 15, 2009 05:48 PM

Actually Para, you should have seen Jericho the last time they were in Canada wish SGT. Rickroll (Sgt, Slaughter) He was on camera, thinking he was off camera, insulting canada to keep the heat up lol.

SimDaddyGT Sep 15, 2009 05:50 PM

Damn, Slash beat me to it.

I, much like many here, am more interested in seeing what's gonna happen Friday night with the Undertaker. If he doesn't pull a Bret Hart and quit, I can only foresee one of two things for the next PPV.

1. Undertaker Vs. CM Punk in a Hell In A Cell (HITC Hat Trick, anyone? Hasn't happened yet in WWE history as far as I know.)
2. Undertaker Vs. CM Punk in a Casket Match

I wanted to say Inferno Match instead of Casket, but the Inferno thing is more suited for Kane than Taker.

SuperSonic Sep 15, 2009 08:02 PM

It'll most likely be in Hell in a Cell, since the PPV is named Hell in a Cell where at least the main events will be contested inside...you guessed it...Hell in a Cell. I'm not sure about the lower card matches, but it's possible they'll be held in there too. It might not even be the Undertaker, because if you saw Raw Monday...

Spoiler:
Batista said he's going back to Smackdown, so he might be going for the World Title himself.

Oh.. I must've missed that part cause I remember seeing Jericho being patriotic saying how he trained in Canada and such.

Either way, Canadian fans still fans of homegrown boys. I can't wait till Edge comes back as face.

dagget Sep 15, 2009 11:32 PM

BG James and Jim Cornette fired by TNA. Wonder if BG still has beef with Triple H and possibly seeing Road Dogg back?

Slash Sep 16, 2009 12:47 AM

If WWE was smart, they'd bring DX back, minus XPAC because he apparently loves AAA.

BG, Kip, HHH and Shawn, they don't have anything left to prove. They just need to have some fun.

Also, Smackdown spoilers are full of lols

Aren't they already bringing back DX for the rivalry against legacy? I mean Im pretty sure we will see some antics between the two groups.

SuperSonic Sep 17, 2009 03:15 PM

They brought them back in August against Legacy and the two have faced off in Summerslam with DX winning and at Breaking Point with Legacy winning. Now they'll face off once more at Hell in a Cell.
