I think ive narrowed it down to the artist paul schwartz, a person dropped his name on the shinsen sub forums and his music is the same type as the notes music. Im checking all the samples on amazon :), he also did music for xenosaga so i think its no coincidence

I've just gone through the OST for Xenosaga Episode 1, however I couldn't find the song used in episode 14 of Ergo proxy end notes
Could it be one of the bonus tracks which my collection doesn't have, or I just plain missed it out?

If its by Paul Schwartz, do you happen to know which album n title?

I've a few of his albums, but I've not heard it. Maybe its an album or song I don't have?
I really like that song alot..argh....still can't find it

0p3r4t0r Aug 1, 2006 08:19 AM

I think im getting closer, by going through on amazon and looking at the albums that people who bought paul shwartz cds, ive ended up at the group magna carta. They also do that opera-ish/electronic type music from the notes :). I will not rest until i find this song!

Composers for Xenosaga series:

Ep 1. Yasunori Mitsuda.
Ep 2. Yuki Kanjiura, Shinji Hosoe.
Ep 3. Yuki Kanjiura.
Anime. Kousuke Yamashita.

Care to share the source that claims Paul Schwartz did music for Xenosaga cause I've searched both google/amazon/wikipedia for connections and have found none. Also the music piece sounds nothing like any music track I've heard in there series.

My bad, im not sure where i got that from, but i thought i saw the name come up on the pages when i was looking around. Anyways i extracted the audio from the avi, and took it down to just that portion of the ending and am now posting it on various new-age/chillout music forums to see what other people might know about it

No it's not. I know that it sounds like that children's choir in the "Song of the Nephilim" but it's not it.

0p3r4t0r Aug 1, 2006 04:49 PM

man i cant find it, so i asked for help on a few different new age music forums :|

Foshi Aug 1, 2006 08:11 PM

This may be tempting to most of us Ergo Proxy fans; Ergo Proxy 1 - 13 on DVD

I highly recommend you do not buy it though. From personal experience with importing these DVD's the subs are pure horrible shit. Not only that, but the picture was jaggy and out of proportion. I imported the entire season of Shuffle! from these "Anime Cartoon" guys and trust me it was a waste of $40. Hong Kong rip-offs; wait for the US release unless you know Japanese.

Yup, i'm still checking around if other people have heard of it,
It seems to be a really obscure piece of music....
Won't give up trying to find it though

:( no one knows about this, but i havent given up. I emailed this guy that is a internet radio runner for a ambient channel, so hopefully he will know something..

Roph Aug 5, 2006 09:04 PM

Man, how long has it been now since the last episode came out? Clicked the link to this thread so hard when I saw it'd been posted in :(

SemperFidelis Aug 6, 2006 12:05 PM

Seriously, where the hell is episode 15 :(.

packrat Aug 6, 2006 12:16 PM

From what I understand, that episode is chock full of scientific terminology and abstract concepts, making a proper translation very difficult and time-consuming. :(

B4-Hunter Aug 6, 2006 04:56 PM

While waiting for episode 15 I just watched episode 21. It all start to make sense. But ending was damn weird. No spoiler included in my sig and avatar. Shinsen is looking for Timers. EP project is still ongoing. RAW 22 will be here at the morning.

Corrupt_Id Aug 7, 2006 07:31 PM

Okay, can someone please explain what's going on?

I've seen up to 22 and am sad that the end is so near, waaahh one more ep., no more continuous eager page refreshing to see if the latest ep. has been released, *sigh* I'll miss those days =P. Well I'm happy to hear the fansubbers are still working on this series. Oh, has anyone heard of "centzon hitchers and undertaker", apparently it's the manga adaptation of ergo proxy. I would love to see how ergo proxy translates to manga.

B4-Hunter Aug 9, 2006 04:22 PM

It's easy to tell... just watch EP once again all episodes from the 1st the the last and everything will become a LOT more visible =) I try it my self and it helps a lot.

B4-Hunter Aug 13, 2006 04:20 AM

Just got Episode 23 on RAW!!! (FiNAL) Hope it will be the best of them all =D

Nectarine Aug 13, 2006 01:32 PM

I was kind of looking for the song in the episode 14 notes too... but since I kind of don't have time, I tried to look through these Xenosaga songs... maybe it's in one of the extra albums? ._.

Rock Aug 13, 2006 01:39 PM

I finally decided to give up on Ergo Proxy since nobody even bothers translating it anymore and the more recent episodes seemed to be too freaky for my personal taste.

It's a sad thing considering this was one of the few Anime shows I've grown attached to in recent years.

Where did you get the raw? I've seen some screens of 23 and it looks amazing, some people said they didn't like the ending, what did you think of the ending?

My signature is made from the last frame of episode 23 :D Ending was... weird and sad... that's what I think. A lot has left untold and there is high possibility for another session or movie?

Roph Aug 13, 2006 07:29 PM

Uh, does anybody know what's happened to Anime-Jiyuu ?_?

They was working on Ergo Proxy but since no one can handle episode 15 they just don't translate it anymore.

They could just drop episode 15 and go to the 16. But after watching meditatio 23 I have to say that in 15th there is one quite important information about who we will meet at the end.

Hope that after all from Shinsen-Subs get back from they summer break will get back to work on it. Project isn't dropped yet!!

packrat Aug 14, 2006 05:55 PM

This may be wrong, but do you suppose that the fansubbing groups are holding out until all the episodes are out, to gain a full understanding of the concepts presented in the show, in order that their translation won't be inadequate and confuse the viewers in later episodes?

If thats the case, then it would explain why they haven't officially dropped the project.

It seems to make sense to me as well, considering the information I've been given.

0p3r4t0r Aug 14, 2006 09:23 PM

I have lost any trust in shinsen subs, through this notes music business and ep. 15

I cant imagine any 21 min episode being complicated enough to take this long to sub.
