I got around to reading the manga last year when OneManga was still around, and it's actually pretty amazing how little the anime covered. I don't think it even went 1/3 of the way through the story. It's an enjoyable show, but nothing is really resolved because the manga wasn't even done with character introductions at that point.

What's this about a sequel series to Last Exile? From what I remember it did take a long while for the plot to really get going, but it was still well worth watching.

Just throwing this out there as a simple idea, but if you end up needing a new series and can't figure out which, you could probably play a movie or two during the finished anime's timeslot and then start the next series the next scheduled day. A movie like Dead Leaves or something like that would probably be interesting enough.

Like I said, just a quick idea, if it doesn't work that's cool though.

There is a movie I'd actually like to play that I finally got a hold of after waiting for several months: Welcome to the Space Show. It's made by the same team that did Read or Die. It's a little over 2 hours long and has a Ghibli feel. It'd certainly take up most of a broadcast.

Also I did joke about doing a double feature of Grave of the Fireflies and My Neighbor Totoro. I think I might actually do that sometime. =')

I wouldn't mind joining in, though I tend to work 2-11 a lot of nights. I'd probably end up missing at least one of the two shows every week.

It's been too long since I saw Last EXILE for me to remember much about how it ended, but I don't recall thinking it needed a sequel series. I'm more surprised by the news that Gonzo is still around. I thought they went under and vanished several years ago.

Well since I'm not exactly sure what I want to show series-wise I think I'll make this week "movie week". I'll be showing Welcome to the Space Show tonight which will take up the entire broadcast. It's pretty long. I do hope you join us in about say 30 minutes or so when I begin (sorry for the late start - bit groggy today) as it's a pretty enjoyable movie.

Oh yeah, I'm gonna do an experiment. I'm going to try streaming to veemi.com and seeing how well that works. It has no ads but unfortunately it's default screen ration is 4:3. You'll need to click on the aspect ratio button and change it to 16:9. Also it doesn't autostart if you're idling in chat before I start the stream so keep that in mind - it has a refresh button. I'm just curious how well it will perform. Let me know if it sucks or not.

Sorry about starting late so often these days. I've been hard at work scrapping and rescrapping the archives setups. So hard to get css crap to work on all browsers properly.
