Fellow players, here is a map of explored territory thus far. I'm personally in favor of going towards the room which I marked as "Unexplored". What say you?

Skexis Jul 12, 2010 01:41 AM

I'd just as soon get going towards (eventually) the exit, now that we have some kind of directions. I'm not convinced the other room is anything but a dead end, or a throwaway encounter at this point.

I vote down the stairs, unless you guys think there's any reason to go down the pit after the gnome.

Zephyrin Jul 12, 2010 09:24 AM

I also vote we attempt the minotaur's maze. I'm not the dungeon type.

Scent of a Grundle Jul 12, 2010 08:15 PM

Glenn would really like to check out the Drow city, but that's a bad plan since they would probably just want to kill him on sight. Past that, wherever the rest of the group heads is fine.

Zergrinch Jul 12, 2010 11:17 PM

Ehh heading towards Tiefling central will also elicit hostility towards dragonborn, so

Will wvlfpvp be joining us before, or after we make the choice?

In any case the "Overlord" should be good for intimidating any sentients we run across.

You sure you don't want to retrain that bastard sword proficiency, Garr?

That's kind of down to when he gets his character to me. Either route will have opportunities to write him in, but if wvlf has an opinion he's welcome to pipe up.

Scent of a Grundle Jul 15, 2010 09:29 PM

Zerg, we haven't even looked at the staff to see if that method is possible, but i doubt it. If the two arrows you shot at it didn't make it budge, i doubt you tugging on a long rope will. Wait to actually check the staff before finalizing your decision to do anything.

Zergrinch Jul 15, 2010 10:05 PM

I suggested that because I truly doubt we'll be coming back once we go through the portal. And I don't think the others would want to dilly-dally any longer in the current dungeon while we figure out how to appropriate 20,000 GP of jewels while remaining unsquished...

I am, of course, open to any (non-lethal - for example, to Gary) suggestions!

Zephyrin Jul 15, 2010 11:56 PM

Hey. Don't be cheating my on my kill tally. I mean, what else does a soldier really have?

Zergrinch Jul 15, 2010 11:59 PM

I suspect Pang will set ogres upon us if we dare despoil the exhibits. So no worries there.

What I mean by nonlethal is that the process of enriching ourselves by 20,000 gold should not result in any party members and hangers-on turning into pancakes.

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Jul 16, 2010 03:58 AM

Like he's going to let you get your hands on enough money to actually buy all the optimisation gear you're hankering after.

Zergrinch Jul 16, 2010 07:56 PM

I am hoping he was sincere when he said that the universe was not out to screw us, no matter how much it seems that way. So... :tpg:

There are several shades of grey between "Bears have been sent to your house to eat you" and "go ahead and poke that bear with a stick; it's vegetarian".

wvlfpvp Jul 18, 2010 02:44 PM

;___; sorry guys, I haven't had a lot of computer time since I've been back from New York.

I promise ABSOLUTE LATEST will be this Friday morning. Hopefully I'll be able to do it sooner.

What.

Zergrinch Jul 18, 2010 07:32 PM

Obviously I want to see the rest of the hidden exhibits :tpg:

Besides Cal loves books so much, he's got six of them now.

FINALLY, THE RESPECT I DESERVE. Even if it is in some sort of alternate reality.

The deck? Really Pang?

Yes, it's a legendary and powerful artifact, on the opposite side of a pane of unbreakable glass.

Can you think of anything crueler to do to Zerg?

If you come to the meet next year, I may hug you.

Fair warning.

Zergrinch Jul 18, 2010 09:31 PM

Thank you, Denicalis, for alerting me to the potential perils of perusing the Deck of Many Things. I never heard of it before, and wouldn't have thought to check what it was.

Of course using it would be using meta-knowledge and make you a huge douchebag. But that, ironically, would be rather in character for you, wouldn't it, Zerg?
