BEFORE AND AFTER
Guessed letters: A B G L N O T R Y (no consonants left)

SuperSonic - $0
Hawkeye - $7350
Garr - $1850

Not where you wanted them, I'm guessing. Maybe another vowel will help more? Or is the picture clear enough for a guess yet?

Dopefish Apr 18, 2009 10:54 PM

Oof, I'm sorry, no Us.

SuperSonic - $0
Hawkeye - $7350
Garr - $1600

Well, SuperSonic, you can't buy any vowels but you can try to solve the puzzle if you want. Or you can pass.

SuperSonic Apr 18, 2009 11:09 PM

I'll solve the puzzle.

Beanie Baby on Board

Dopefish Apr 18, 2009 11:16 PM

Congratulations, SuperSonic, you solved the puzzle!

SuperSonic - $0
Hawkeye - $1850
Garr - $2800

And nothing to show for it but taking away Hawkeye's chance to run away with this game! :tpg:

27. SuperSonic guessed T. No Ts.
28. Hawkeye guessed N. 2 Ns. ($3500x2)
29. Hawkeye guessed A. 3 As. -$250
30. Hawkeye guessed R. 1 R. ($300x1)+free spin
31. Hawkeye guessed D. 1 D. ($300x1)
32. Hawkeye guessed L. No Ls.
xx. Garr went bankrupt on the $1,000,000 space.
33. SuperSonic guessed S. No Ss.
34. Hawkeye guessed G. No Gs.
35. Garr guessed B. 4 Bs. ($300x4)
36. Garr guessed Y. 1 Y. ($900x1)
37. Garr guessed O. 2 Os. -$250
38. Garr guessed U. No Us. -$250
39. SuperSonic guessed "BEANIE BABY ON BOARD". Puzzle solved.

So after three rounds and 39 turns it's still anyone's game, but...

*DING-DING! DING-DING!*

...that means I'm gonna give the wheel a Final Spin. In the final round, players will take turns guessing letters and will be given a chance to guess the puzzle. If a player guesses a letter not on the board, they lose their chance to guess on the puzzle for that rotation. We'll keep going until someone guesses the puzzle correctly. You may buy vowels, and they are worth nothing (meaning no deduction), but consonants are worth...$1550 apiece.

The puzzle and category:

And SuperSonic, we'll start with you.

SuperSonic Apr 18, 2009 11:33 PM

How about a T?

Dopefish Apr 18, 2009 11:36 PM

How about three of them?

|_|T|_|_|_|_|_| |_|_|_|_|'|_| |T|_|_| |_|T|_|_|_|
(BOOK/MOVIE)

SuperSonic - $4650
Hawkeye - $0
Garr - $0

If you've got no clue I'll understand! :) Just let me know if you don't have a guess.

SuperSonic Apr 19, 2009 12:02 AM

A group of pill pushers?

Dopefish Apr 19, 2009 12:14 AM

Hey! I am a pill pusher! :mad:

;)

Wrong though. Hawkeye, your letter?

Scent of a Grundle Apr 19, 2009 12:24 AM

I'll take an S.

Dopefish Apr 19, 2009 12:26 AM

How about three for you too?

(BOOK/MOVIE)

SuperSonic - $4650
Hawkeye - $4650
Garr - $0

Any guess?

Scent of a Grundle Apr 19, 2009 12:35 AM

I'm not sure about this, but it fits...

STEPHEN KING'S THE STAND

Dopefish Apr 19, 2009 12:58 AM

Believe it or not, you're CORRECT! Congratulations, Hawkeye, you solved the puzzle and you've won the game!

END OF GAME - TOTALS
SuperSonic - $1000
Garr - $2800

Hawkeye - $6500

1. SuperSonic guessed T. 3 Ts. ($1550x3)
2. SuperSonic guessed "A GROUP OF PILL PUSHERS". Incorrect.
3. Hawkeye guessed S. 3 Ss. ($1550x3)
4. Hawkeye guessed "STEPHEN KING'S THE STAND". Puzzle solved.

Garr, you performed quite well at times, and you ended up having $2800 in fun bucks to spend on that Segway you always wanted!

SuperSonic, I'm sorry things didn't go so well for you. I thought things would've went well for you in the final round after negating the third puzzle, but it wasn't to be. Still, no one on Wheel of Fortune goes home empty handed, so we'll give you $1000 as a consolation prize! Better luck next time!

Hawkeye, pretty tricky to solve a puzzle with that little to work with, but you were pretty accurate with your guesses in this game. You dominated play pretty much from the get-go and if it weren't for that bankrupt in round 2 this could've gotten out of hand. Nevertheless you've won the game and that means you're heading on to the Bonus Round!

The Bonus Round is your chance to boost your score by up to $100,000. The Bonus Wheel has 24 spaces on it with prizes ranging from $25,000 to $50,000 (in increments of $5,000), $100,000 or a new car (random value between $20,000 and $40,000). What I'll need you to do is post and roll 1d24. After your roll you'll need to give me three consonants and one vowel that you think might be in the puzzle. The letters R, S, T, L, N and E are already used in the puzzle. I'll update the puzzle and you'll then post your guesses (up to five) as to what the puzzle might be. If you're feeling super-confident you can post less than five guesses but you better be sure because you're not getting another chance! BEST OF LUCK!

Here's the Bonus Puzzle:

|_|_|_|E| |_|_|_|L|_|_|N|_|E|
Guessed letters: E L N R S T

So give me three consonants and a vowel, and spin 1d24.

(Hope you didn't see my little mistake '¬_¬)

Scent of a Grundle Apr 19, 2009 01:06 AM

how exciting.

I'll take C, P, V, and O.

Dopefish Apr 19, 2009 01:13 AM

It is exciting, isn't it! Here's what kind of damage your letters made:

|_|O|_|E| |_|P|P|L|_|_|N|C|E|
(THING)

Remember, maximum of five guesses in your next post, but I don't think you'll need them all. Good luck!

Scent of a Grundle Apr 19, 2009 10:23 AM

I'd better not, I can't see anything other than HOME APPLIANCE fitting in that puzzle...

Nope, I keep trying, but I can't fit in anything else that makes sense.

Dopefish Apr 19, 2009 10:44 AM

"HOME APPLIANCE" is correct! Congratulations!

Your bonus prize is...a new car! It's a four-door sedan, nothing terribly fancy, and it's still kinda behind the times in terms of fuel efficiency, but maybe you can just sell it for a good chunk of money. The value of the car is $20,039, bringing your final score to $26,539! Congratulations again!

So, since that game is over, I wouldn't mind "hosting" again but if anyone thinks I suck or they just would like to take over that's cool with me. I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt the game was dragging on a bit long. Did it seem like I complicated things?

I was enjoying it when things were moving along.

SuperSonic Apr 19, 2009 01:14 PM

Felt like playing on the show, overall I think you did a fine job Dope. I'd like to get in on the next game again seeing as how I didn't do too well my first time. XD

Scent of a Grundle Apr 19, 2009 04:23 PM

It was a lot more like the real show than my game, and it worked well. I'll sit the next game out though, I've played or run all of the games so far so i'm taking a break.

Dopefish Apr 19, 2009 05:01 PM

Well if we can find two others to play I'll get it rolling again.

Dopefish Apr 19, 2009 05:29 PM

Well I won't wait forever for people to start lining up. If I have three by this time tomorrow I'm starting Game 2.

Slash Apr 20, 2009 12:50 AM

If ya'll can deal with me being in school I think this could be fun!

Dopefish Apr 20, 2009 10:09 PM

Alright, so:

SuperSonic
Garr
Slash

I'm keeping the wheel values the same for continuity purposes.

Wheel values:
1 = $300
2 = $400
3 = $600
4 = bankrupt
5 = $900
6 = free spin/$300
7 = $500
8 = $900
9 = gift tag/$300
10 = $400
11 = $550
12 = 2/3 bankrupt/1/3 $1M/$800
13 = $500
14 = $300
15 = $500
16 = $600
17 = $2,500
18 = $600
19 = $300
20 = wild card/$700
21 = $450
22 = $350
23 = $800
24 = lose turn

I''ll get things started with a 1d3 picking the first player...SuperSonic. You get an early chance to avenge your last-place finish in the last game.

Game 2 beings with this puzzle:

*do-do-do-do*
