I just posted to say that I've been enjoying Millionaire A LOT. Best album posted in while, period.

Also, just to let you know about this blog, who does the very same thing we do:

Oh, that is fan-fucking-tastic! Somebody threw some Devendra Banhart up there! YES.
Thanks for the link :D!!!

Nice post, Admiral Amara. Tom Lehrer is certainly an overlooked figure these days.

Admiral Amara Sep 7, 2006 05:27 PM

Tom Lehrer is brilliant, and I figured that I ought to give GFF a chance to listen to this chunk of comedy gold.

I did some updating on the index last night but goddamnit that's a fucking gargantuan task. Seriously guys... NEVER let me do that shit again. Somebody better threaten bannanation if I don't update it at LEAST every other week from now on. :/

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Sep 14, 2006 07:10 PM

Thanks a bunch for the Carnivale Soundtrack, Devo. That was a terrific show that went by all but unnoticed. It's a shame. At least now I have the music to remember it by.

I'm grabbing the new Swollen Members disc, Black Magic. I'll share it after I've given it a thorough listen so that I can give it a little review. I can't wait, the sample tracks I heard were dope.

Admiral Amara Sep 16, 2006 11:08 AM

knk is officially my favorite wzrd of all time. So much Opeth! I very much appreciate this upload, and have started in on downloading them now.

Wall Feces Sep 16, 2006 02:54 PM

Yeah, excellent post knkwzrd. I am LOVING Blackwater Park right now. Abolutely fan-freakin-tastic!

Paco Sep 16, 2006 06:52 PM

HOLY SHIT SO MUCH OPETH! Mad props wzrd. :D

knkwzrd Sep 16, 2006 06:54 PM

Wow. I honestly didn't expect that many people to be into Opeth.

wvlfpvp Sep 16, 2006 07:18 PM

Why not? I love the fact that dude says that the acoustic guitar can be heavy.

Look for some Jeff Wayne in the near future.

I have his Spartacus and War of the Worlds, though I haven't listened to any of the remix discs of the latter. I'd love to get my hands on the seven-disc box.

Waferballs Sep 16, 2006 08:04 PM

Greets to regular "members" here. I just uploaded some Motorpsycho and added it to the thread. Hope you enjoy!

That's like asking who does cocaine. Nobody admits to it, but you know everyone does it and gets a great kick out of it. :p

I've got a few of the remixes of War of the Worlds (and that's what I was gonna put up, because goddamn it's incredible,) so I'll include what I've got in my upload.

Whee inadvertently answering questions that I was asking myself.

knkwzrd Sep 18, 2006 06:19 PM

Nice up, wvlfpvp. I recommend everyone give a listen.

Any chance you could up those various and sundry remixes as a separate file as well? I'd love to hear them, but already have the actual musical. Thanks.

I hope everyone enjoyed my latest batch of uploads in a LONG TIME. It seems everyone is enjoying the Okinawa folk and Def Tech according to the number of downloads, but EYEHATEGOD and Venom isn't getting any love; I guess metal fans are few and far among the users of a gaming forum.

My next batch of uploads im working on which include some rareitys

here is the list

The California Dolls - Dragon, Tiger, and Escargot
Cock E.S.P - If she says that you can have it, tell her no
Cthulu Biomechanical - Es Ist kalt hier
The Blue hearts - The blue hearts
The Blue hearts - Young and Pretty.

wvlfpvp Sep 29, 2006 07:46 AM

Or we just haven't started downloading your shit :)

I just already have those records. ;)

Paco Sep 29, 2006 11:25 AM

That Rough Guide to Music from Okinawa is godly. GODLY!

wvlfpvp Sep 29, 2006 12:06 PM

I may have to upload the Rough Guide to Asian Underground soon. I picked the CD up at the Sackler and Freer galleries in Washington CD and it makes me happy.

I know, you're the only person on GFF i feel that could give me a run for my money in regards to knowledge of various musical genres as well as the size of record collection.

Paco Oct 24, 2006 03:53 PM

I hadn't been down there in a while and you guys got some pretty good stuff. I'm grabbing those Joy Electric albums just to check them out. Also gotta give some love to knkwzrd for those Residents albums. I have Eskimo and The Commercial Album but that Warner Bros. Album is news to me. I'm also gonna give that one a listen.
