Very excited about Twilight Princess. I've been a Zelda fan forever (A Link to the Past was the very first RPG I've ever played), so I'm awaiting the release of this game with high expectations. I don't know how crazy I am about the whole wolf/Midna idea, but I trust Miyamoto to pull it off. (At least Tingle isn't there anymore.)
As for the whole OoT/Majora debate, I loved OoT, but I didn't think it was the best game ever. And the highlight of Majora's Mask were the sidequests, which easily outshone the main plot. Was I the only one disappointed by the Skull Kid's motivations? Anyway, TP's character design is stellar. I hope the Zora and the Deku (or, at least key personalities of each race) look as hardcore as that Goron. And will there be any Gerudo? |

heh, maybe Ganondorf will find the Majora's Mask :)
But seriously, maybe they wont even have Ganondorf apear in this game and just have him apear as Ganon like old Zeldas (If they include him at all) |

That would be for the best, in my opinion. And maybe a clear view of him not like in OoT. Although there was good reason for obscuring him (The sweet dark mood thing they had goin' on), I'd like to see a good 3D rendition of Ganon.:edgarrock: |
I'd like to see maybe a new villian. Ganon(dorf) could have like hired this new guy to eliminate the next incarnation of the Hero of Time, or something like that. I just think it's time for some variation, despite how awesome Ganon is.
Later in the serise, i want to see a huge elaborate connection between Ganon, and Majora (and the villian in TP if it's not Ganon). Connect all the games with a solid conspiracy thing going on. I love complex sub plots. |

I too would like to see a villian other than Ganon and/or Ganondorf. While a great character and a good foil for Link, Ganon can't be the cause of all of the problems in Hyrule over the centuries. I'm sure some other "baddie" somewhere, sometime could take on Link. Either way I won't be too disappointed as the game will surely be great regardless. I have read that the game currently has more dungeons that OoT. This could potentially be a very long quest. Is everyone up for it?

A dark joy screams wishes of Tingle being the final boss. It would be hilarious and intense and awesome and hilarious.
|
ha, Ganon boss battle ensues suddenly Tingle appears and kicks his ass in some hilarious fashion...
I hope they make good puzzles in the new dungeons (anyone played Jabu Jabu's Belly in Master Quest? *shoot the cow stuck in the whales muscular tissue to advance to the next room*) |
Give me the huge bosses. Give me enemies that use sword and shield as well (although I think that's covered judging from the videos I saw). Give us Vaati in 3D!!!
Whatever it'll be, it'll be awesome. Look forward to taking on the Balrog-like boss (fire boss). |
He actually doesn't look as big, after watching the trailer.
Seriously, NOTHING will ever be as impressive as Shadow of the Colossus. |
I heard a rumour on the internet that there are new images of this game on the internet!

These are screenshots from the Wii version, right?

Nintendo GameCube!

Holy crap, those first two shots look almost as good as Oblivion. =o

The graphics are good and all, but I just thought of somehting about the freaky looking clowns - look at the mark on the shorter one's arm. It's a frickin' Bullet Bill. And the short, stocky one is in red, and the tall one is in green. Are we looking at warped versions of Talon and Ingo (who were take-offs on Mario and Luigi?) If that's the case I don't even want to think about what Malon might look like... (She was one of my favorite characters in both Link's Awakening and OoT.)

Still, the floor textures are disappointing. For either GameCube or Wii graphics. |
This thread is riddled with inaccuracies!
"A Link to the Past was the very first RPG I've ever played" Please don't call it an RPG, despite it being a role playing game (which virtually any game can be classified as, technically). It isn't boring, thus it is not an RPG. You want a new villain, check out Minish Cap. Vaati rocks the shit, plus he has an awesome name. I'd like to point out that the final battle in that game is probably the best Zelda end boss ever, and this is coming from a guy who loves pretty much all of them a whole lot. I don't expect to see Vaati in this, but I would like to see someone who is not Ganondorf, although I expect him to be in it to some capacity. Acerbandit is totally correct about Tingle. Those screenshots are gorgeous, why do I have to wait so long to play this game, and why is it coming out on the same day as Metroid Prime 3? Damn you Nintendo! "If that's the case I don't even want to think about what Malon might look like... (She was one of my favorite characters in both Link's Awakening and OoT.)" Malon wasn't even in Link's Awakening. That was Marin. Although I do like both Malon and Marin. It's easy to get them confused. |
you do realize that those pictures were basically the same as the ones in the article from EGM, right? except for one that i didn't recognize.
i agree that the floor/grass textures are not the greatest, but it still looks great overall. |
