I also find it cute how people try to classify how good each character in a game will be before it's even released.

Those are based on actual playing. You can't tell how slow someone is from scans, dumbshit.

Besides the iso got leaked last night.

Apparently "Internet" is not a good enough answer

Inhert, the ISO was leaked in Fairmont, New Jersey

Godspeed

I also find it cute how you thought I was referring to scans. No, I find that a bit weird, actually. I'm referring to games in general.

This kind of thing happens often. People assume who the best are before the games released. The game releases. Assumptions are usually wrong. Repeat.

EDIT: Just for future reference, even if the game's been released for even a few weeks, it's very rare and unlikely for a character to be classified as above anyone/all else when everyone still sucks at the game.

Gotta love jersey for their "Exclusives" ;p

Why would I assume you're talking about a specific game when you make a response right after someone posts specific game information in a specific game

what a weird and/or cute thing to assume

when you assume you make an ass out of u and me boy they weren't kidding were they

It really shouldn't matter if I was referring to Dissidia or games in general since either option includes Dissidia. Just included the "in general" part because this always seems to happen.

A lot of what I noticed includes people finding a favorite character and trying to emphasize what decent qualities they have and classify them as one of the best.

value tart Dec 16, 2008 07:23 PM

It shouldn't matter if I say a lurker is a cunt or all women are cunts because both options include a lurker

Come on, guys, I wasn't making broad assumptions

YouTube Video

btw anyone know if there'll be or is an OST announced for this game?

chato Dec 17, 2008 07:13 AM

The official soundtrack comes out the same day.

Music from Dissidia -Final Fantasy

Good to see Terra's hair back in color.

makura Dec 17, 2008 02:57 PM

It has not. It is exclusive to the Gamestop in Fairmont, New Jersey. Quit spreading rumors.

makura Dec 17, 2008 03:04 PM

Nevermind..

edit: -_-

The unmovable stubborn Dec 17, 2008 03:05 PM

Those publications are both owned by Gamestop competitors and cannot be trusted for honest reporting. Don't be so blind, man.

Inhert Dec 17, 2008 03:48 PM

Well I manage to find it and I'm having a lot of fun! To bad I can't read japanese since the story seems interesting but the gameplay is really fun when your against a worthy opponent.

After playing it for 3 hours , i find the game to be somewhat fun. Just certain camera angles are off and gameplay gets somewhat repetitive in time. There are a bunch of moves you unlock but since I understand none, I do what I can to enable what's available. Some say its ok but still sucks in many areas while others will call it another "Great FF game in the franchise since 7.. boohoo".

I played it for about an hour yesterday and it's just as I thought it would be from what I saw in the trailers. Completely eye candy for any FF fan.
It does get repetitive since doing combos doesn't really require any complex button presses although getting an air combo does need you to be ready for some quicktime events but the buttons are always the same anyway.
Not sure about anyone else but the limit breaks are very hard to get since the enemies usually die before you can get the meter up. I was only able to do it in the epilogue stages with the power up.
Speaking of epilogue, I completely love the song at the last tutorial stage (I think it's called DFF cosmos)

I have no idea what I'm picking with the options as well, but either way the fighting is pretty fun. I put squall vs cloud, and I got my ass kicked (squall) since I put the difficulty mega high apparently

makura Dec 18, 2008 01:19 PM

I thought the limit breaks were kinda easy to perform. I'm not sure if I have it right, but I think you're suppose to collect those shiny angel bell looking things to make the meter go up. Once that Meter is high, press R + square to go into EX mode. Connect a hit with Square attack and when you see a square symbol on the screen, press square again. Then a button combination follows.

I found myself skipping a lot of the cutscenes (playing Cloud's story) as it only has the guys standing around and talking. Does any action happen during these or am I not missing much?

If I understood it all, it might be a tad bit more enjoyable. But it gets repetitive to fight the same characters over and over.
It'd be better if it were on PS3 and have elaborate surprise intros like in those Dead Fantasy vids.

And.. US release in summer 2009..

As opponents trade attacks, Brave is added and subtracted from their respective values. Whoever performs a Brave Break first gets the value of the Brave in the middle added to their personal Brave. Any attack they perform at this time will do exactly that amount of HP damage. Afterwards, the value of the Brave in the middle of the screen is reset to a new, apparently higher random number, the characters get their brave reset (not sure if it's the same amount as in the beginning of the match or another random number) and the process repeats.

It's kinda confusing actually. But I can sorta see the sense behind it... I think.

This'll prove useful to anyone needing some kind of useful observation regarding damage in this game.

Everybody Was FF Fighting: Final Fantasy Dissidia Comes Stateside This Summer

DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY | SQUARE ENIX

From what I heard Square or Sony did something to the game that ripping the ISO out doesn't make it work. I am not sure if anyone has cracked the ISO yet.

Also thanks to youtube's new video identifier thing, Square has submitted the opening and ending CG FMVs to youtube to be blocked, meaning that anyone who tries to upload those videos would be blocked from doing so. A friend of mine who handles the Kh-vids.net fansite tried to upload the opening and ending and it was blocked.

He instead can only upload battles and the end credits. Music is a nice medley from FF1 to FFX.

YouTube Video

To those who wanna see the real ending, Gametrailers has no restrictions.
