Oh, no new info there:(
As far as I can see, Thomas Wiborgh (Swedish dude I played with at the Halo gig) even coughed on some of the information... |

Alot of those pictures look like the stuff that they originally release for the magazines when they were talking about Halo2 coming out... At least it looks like it. I'll search through my old game-enforcers and see.
|
It looks like Halo 2 with a facelift at this point. Its not exactly "next gen" as far as Halo standards are concerned.
|
Looks like the game will be released in three versions. Standard, Collector's, and something called LEGENDARY EDITION.
Apparently, preordering such a beast gets you a mini helmet replica! Neato. The LEGENDARY EDITION contains 3 bonus DVDs that include: # Behind-the-scenes at Bungie Studios with new insights into the Halo Universe and the making of Halo 3. # A special hi-res collection of all cinematics from Halo 1 and Halo 2 with director commentary from the Bungie Team bonus # Community content from Red vs. Blue, This Spartan Life and Exclusive Gamer Tiles & a Theme # Each unit will be serialized for added individuality and collectability. Not life-size. Of course, there is no info on the Collector's Eidtion, but the LEGENDARY EDITION has these features. I assume the Collector's one will be missing a bonus DVD or 2 and won't have the helmet. A shame the helmet isn't life size. |

I just got the new EGM, and the game doesnt look too remarkable, but like everyones saying, its not the final product.
Im really not too excited about what they showed. Just alot of extra, useless shit weapons thrown in. The new assault rifle is the only thing that interest me right now. |
Personally, how much it's being hyped, I'm hoping that it doesn't dissappoint. The list of weapons doesn't really get me too excited either b/c original I heard that they might be bringing back the original Pistol and the Original AR as well, which I personally liked better then the H2 version of them. (Scope-Pistol was way better then that magnum crap that they gave us in Halo2)

Just letting you know, dumbass, but printers produce MUCH finer images than displays ever could. You got a single digit IQ there son? Holy shit. |
Gonna hook my 360 up to my printer, brb.
|
Oh man, you got one of those fancy new Lexmarks that prints on 1080i paper, and can do so at 60 sheets a second? I'm totally jealous.

OH MY BAD I TOTALLY MEANT PROGRESSIVE SCAN PAPER.
But to use it you need to hook up your fancy new printer with those expensive Monster Cable brand Component or HDPI (High Definition Printer Interface) cables, and those are almost as expensive as the paper itself. |
You win this time, Skills.
Parting shot: Enjoy your Snow AIDS, you fricken Frappe Snowlander. |

Ehm, actually, a printed magazine version of a screenshot will almost never look as good as the original shot, especially for games. Who knows what preprocessing/resizing was applied to the image, what DPI they used when printing the magazine, how did they edit the picture so it fits in the article (color/gamma, 'shopping) etc.
I'm positive that the game WILL look much better then the shots you saw. I mean, unless, they used some of those ludicrous 6400x3600 shots when making the article, like the render screengrabs they released for the E3 demo. |
I often find as well that screen shots in magazines are taken from NTSC versions of games which are naturally ugly compared to PAL ones. Not an issue in the new HD era but made a big difference on the PS2...
