SHHHHHHIIIN. WHERE ARE YOU SHIN?

Sorry, it's been quite a heavy weekend...

Garr, I don't believe there's any rule that says a major action has to be the last you perform in a round. You can attack the zombie, then shift back out of the way afterwards if you want to not be standing next to it any more. That does of course mean it can move away from the ledge though...
|
It's been 47 hours since Garr's turn. If Deni doesn't show by 11:06, that'll be Strike 3 and it'll be up to Skills what happens to poor abandoned Gabe.
As with Brady, nothing personal but people that actually want to play are waiting. Taking XP bets on whether Deni will save the day and how Skills will humiliate Gabe if he doesn't. Smart money's on "thrown off a cliff" but we may see some big surprises here today! (Skills, I'm granting you full Assistant DM rights for the duration of this comedy event, so do whatever you want to poor ol' Gabe just so long as it doesn't impact the other characters. Whale falls out of the sky? Sure! Squished to death under Kord's disappointed thumb? Why not!) |
"Thrown off the cliff" would be less ideal than "strips out of all hsi valuable magic gear so his buddies can sell it on later then throws himself off the cliff". I think as and when Gabe does shuffle off the mortal coil though, it really should be something pretty fucking epic. Maybe once we kill these zombies we get jumped by a storm giant and Gabe stays behind to slow it down while we all escape or something like that.
|
Skills would never be so pedestrian. He was training Acrobatics during a storm.
I'm going to say training Charisma with the chillborn. By that I mean feeding them pick-up lines while 'accidentally' groping their asses. Perhaps horning in on Soggy's territory too. It's sexytimes up in the House of Kord. |
I see it's Acer's halfling warlock up next. Skexis should probably start warming up his cleric now because I suspect Acer joining the party is going to lead to a lot of fatalities in a very short time frame.
And yeah, I don't really expect Skills to do anything useful. |
Warlocks are by far the class most likely to accidentally kill their friends, yes. There's an entire build devoted to stealing your HP to hit people with it.
Still he might pick something else, a lot of shit's come out since then. I'm declaring a moratorium on any more Human Fighters right now though. EDIT: TIME'S UP |
I noticed there's like three times as many races and character classes available now as there were last time I checked this thread's opening post. Are they all in a largely playable state? We have a fairly vanilla party compared to what one seemingly could put together at the moment in that we're all proper old school Tolkein races and apart from Soggy, fairly bog-standard classes too. Not that it's a bad mix we have by any means, Gabe's a decent enough tank, Soggy manages to do some buffing and healing now and then, Bob's got range and elemental attacks to exploit weaknesses (plus Jedi mind tricks to solve puzzles) and Garrmondo and LeHah are damage dealers.
Not that party balance matters a jot in this game as we're all just in it for a laugh and as likely to get ourselves killed as to be killed by monsters half the time but it'll be interesting to see how the fights go if we get to the point where there are some more unusual character types in. The role playing in these games is second to none and more often than not hilarious though and more than makes up for any on-paper blandness to the group. I would like to try and engineer it so you're DMing an all-bard party at some point though. |

Oh, awesome. I was worried about the viability of anything too humourous going down while immobilization was in effect. That'll be one thing I'll just do away with conveniently.
|
Pang, doesn't the Rotwing's zombie weakness mean the fire blast would have killed it straight up?
|
Zombie weakness only applies to critical hits.
|
I like how Skills can text me to point out he's killed me, but not to say I'd missed my turn.
I'm gonna remember this, you git. |
Hey, hey, no need for things to take a hostile tone. What's done is done and Deni seems to be taking things well in stride considering the exaggerated ways Skills chose to off him. knk's finally had some luck with the dice so the fight is still more than winnable and Acer should be along to wreck shit just as soon as it's won.
Everybody be cool :( Edit: Acer I was thinking about our discussion earler and I realized that thanks to hybrid classes you can be a Druid/Warlock and have both explosions and bear powers. |
On the bright side, this might give ol' Deni the impetus to start his Shadowrun game, as a way of paying his ignominous death forward on his poor unsuspecting players :3:

*salute* |
Pang, so you're saying you can play hybrids now? Combination of one race with another? :)
Since you're making a moratorium on human fighters, I'd probably rethink playing as an ordinary old human. What hybrid race would be well-suited towards playing keep-away with bows and arrows (and suck ass in melee)? |
Hybrid classes, not hybrid races, Zerg.
Although half-warforged half-bullywug would result in the greatest cyborg of all time. |

And having a Half-orc in the team would bring back all kinds of unhappy memories about Bob's childhood, assuming it wasn't him you were replacing at the time.
