Crap, Aaron, that's right. Fixed.

And of course Micheal wants to get his son off the island, but he hasn't really realized yet that he's been able to spend more time with him on the island then he ever could before.

Unless some crazy people decide to, ya know, kidnap him...

Eleo Apr 14, 2006 02:50 PM

Yeah. But he's going to get him back.

I actually can't wait mostly because I don't have to hear him complain about it. That's why they made Michaeal disappear; they knew we didn't want to hear him talk about it all the time.

I was annoyed merely from hearing him say "my boy" in this past preview, evem though Michael's been missing for several episodes now.

I poked it and it made a sad sound Apr 26, 2006 08:46 PM

Alright guys. I'm really sorry to drag this up and all, but I GOOGLED this episode, and NO WHERE did it mention it was a fucking recap. I was looking TODAY at previews for tonight, and they completely deceived me.

Now, I am completely pissed off at this "Reckoning" bullshit. Isn't this the SECOND time they've had a recap episode this season? Not to mention this recap is reaching ALL THE WAY BACK into the FIRST season.

I am more than bitter about this, and am seriously considering dropping the show all together JUST BECAUSE I feel like they're fucking with me.

Eleo Apr 26, 2006 09:04 PM

Recap episodes are important for a show like Lost. I believe next week begins the final few episodes.

If I'm not mistaken, some head honcho or another is pleading to ABC for a more consistent run of episodes, be it something like 24 where it's 24 straight episodes or episodes from October through December and then March through May.

I like how I wasted time watching the recap episode anyway.

This is actually the third one if you count the one they showed at the beginning of the season.

But yeah, this is ridiculous. ABC seems to be the only channel that even shows these kinds of clip shows, and it's really pretty stupid. I mean, it's better than showing a rerun, but they still shouldn't advertise these epispdes as new.

Eleo Apr 26, 2006 09:41 PM

I didn't know they did.

Sounds pretty recapful to me.

I was more concerned that they didn't want to SPOIL anything regarding the return of Michael, you know. Because they SHOWED the previews, and I figured it had to do with an ARMY and SPOILERS and shit.

Yeah, about a month ago a spokesperson for ABC said that every episode from then till the finale in May would be new, except of course when it didn't come on because of Alias. This spokesperson failed to mention this recap episode when mentioning this.

Eleo Apr 26, 2006 10:00 PM

Well you know, Alias was fairly interesting today.

Rockgamer Apr 26, 2006 10:06 PM

Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch it, as I still need to watch the last four episodes.

There was no new episode this week? BIG FUCKING DEAL. I mean, you should get used to it, and of late, I have the impression that it's better not to have a new episode at all than have a boring one.

Anything but that. I stoppped watching BSG and Stargate because I couldn't get back into it after that.

speculative Apr 28, 2006 01:59 PM

I hear ya about the recap episode, but it was an ABC thing not just a LOST thing this time. They did it with at least Desparate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy as well...

It's funny though because my folks thought they showed new footage even though they didn't. So, I think people notice things they didn't see the first time around. However, I thought they did a horrible job of fitting the story of the show into one episode. They threw in so much random junk, like Jack & Kate getting caught in the net that was just pointless in a "big picture" view of the story. They completely left out any mention of the "monster" as well. Will we ever see that thing again?

Eleo May 2, 2006 09:04 PM

http://www.thehansofoundation.org/ is back up. Interesting stuff there.

Tomorrow supposedly begins "The Lost Experience" which is supposed to be a summer-long webgame/webmaze or whatever where you have to put together clues to advance through it. Supposedly it's not bullshit either; there's supposed to be actual plot within it. At the end of tomorrow's episode there will be a toll free number to get started. I predict busy signals and perhaps the website server not being able to handle the number of users.

Who would even bother with that? The show should be telling us shit in an actual GOOD way without shitty episodes and causing people to watch other things. And not make us play some dumb game.

joey561 May 3, 2006 03:56 PM

LOST is becoming slightly annoying to me, as it seems they could fit all 19 currently broadcasted episodes into about 5. Half of the show is turning into filler; and too many new plot lines are being brought up and forgotten. I hope Season 2 doesn't end as badly as Season 1 did!

Majin yami May 3, 2006 04:42 PM

What was wrong with the Season One finale? Were you expecting answers? I've said this before but if you're expecting answers then you're watching the wrong show.

Rockgamer May 3, 2006 04:50 PM

The main thing wrong with the season one finale was not the lack of answers (though some could probably argue that it was), but rather, was the stupid dynamite! I swear that episode was just an hour and a half on dynamite safety, with only thirty minutes of actual story.

Eleo May 3, 2006 05:05 PM

I can't comment on the Season 1 finale because I didn't get into the show until the beginning of the second season, and I recall a recap episode being played before the Season 2 premiere. So it was like I didn't have to face the frustration and got instant gratification.

Well, sort of. Does anyone recall how getting into the hatch was like three episodes of utter slowness? The thing is, we still don't really know what it is. If someone who had seen the first season but had missed the second season up until now asked me, "So what's in the hatch?" I couldn't tell them. "A living space, a timer, and an old computer." It would actually appear it will take this entire season to answer the last season finale's question.

But supposedly they're not going to do the same this season finale. So said production team.

Also, on thefuselage.com and somethingawful.com, there are supposed guerilla photos of the Others camp taken by some dude. Not verified, though, but they look fairly real. I don't know who would take the time to fake them, as we all already expect an Others camp, so there's no reason to make fake photos of something we'll see anyway.

I'm worried today's episode will be something along the lines of filler or a cliffhanger. Michael just got back, and you know how it is with moving the plot in this show, so I can see him revealing just enough for us to be frustrated that we don't know more.

Well there are some plot lines which are just relevant enough to be told but not relevant enough for the show. The Lost Experience features mostly characters who are not even regulars on the show. Furthermore, many people are addicted to Lost and want something to play around with/theorize on over the summer. I think The Lost Experience is a good idea and am looking forward to it.

Grundlefield Earth May 3, 2006 08:51 PM

How is it even possible that this show got even more boring. There is still 10 miinutes left, but good god. Even so with the killings. Just retarded

Soldier May 3, 2006 09:03 PM

I KNEW IT!!!!111EXCLAMATION POINT ONE ONE ONE

Also....

Spoiler:
Was that Kate's mom? Jack and Kate= Star Wars all over again?

I poked it and it made a sad sound May 3, 2006 09:04 PM

AHAHAHA AWESOME. ANA LUCIA AND LIBBY ARE OUT.

I hate the both of those bitches. I heard Libby was a pathological liar anyways. I bet Hurly will figure it out and hate her too, that horrible cunt.

Man. I am going to have to edit this. I am in STITCHES, here.

I think it COULD have been Kate's Mom. I didn't even think of that. I know that the writers are big Star Wars fans~ Maybe?

I love how Michael apparently made a deal with the Others to get his son back. Thats fucking awesome. Now, everyone is all going to have to deal with TWO from the opposing side. DIVIDE AND CONQUER, BABY.

And whats up with Ana Lucia getting some from Sawyer before she died? Ahaha, MINT. I am ASSUMING they're both dead. I read a week or so ago that there were going to be 2 more dead this season. I am guessing that would be tonight.

Eleo May 3, 2006 09:04 PM

That twist kicked my ass. I thought it was possible that Michael might have been "converted" or at least different in some way, but I never expected this to happen.

Also, I don't expect Libby to die.

Soldier May 3, 2006 09:05 PM

"She's dead" means only one of them could be out. Going to have to wait til next week.

And I'm sure Micheal is being blackmailed. He clearly didn't enjoy what he did.
