Spoiler:
YES YES, FUCK YES! HHH is the champ and hell yes for a hopeful custom belt as I'm getting tired of that WWE DJ one. Now hopefully this will lead to an Orton and Cena feud since that's twice this year that Orton has punted Cena's head. This would leave HHH against JBL? Hey, at least it's not Cena. Keep Cena out of the title picture, he's had enough chances.

However, this could also lead to three constant weeks of Raw where HHH defends the title against JBL the first week, Cena the second week, and then Orton on the third week.

Let the era of the King of Kings begin. I hope he doesn't go to Smackdown though, but that might lead to the Undertaker coming to Raw which isn't a bad thing either.

If they start the draft lottery again, I only have one wish...put Cena's ass on Smackdown or ECW! Get him the fuck off of Raw!

mortis Apr 28, 2008 05:48 PM

Cena on ECW? Don't see that one happening. Maybe on Smackdown! as his lengthy run seems to be over for now.

Oh, and Dave Taylor as well as Maholey are both gone now. Spring cleaning in the WWE, eh?

SuperSonic Apr 28, 2008 06:05 PM

By the way, it seems they're having Foley at the Smackdown announcer team with Michael Cole...so where does that leave Coach? Are they going to have three announcers (because we all know how that worked out last time) or is Coach just out? Now that's a man I wouldn't fire.

Any of you guys have some idea as to who you'd fire and why, or maybe you'd rather give everyone a fair chance to show what they can do?

mortis Apr 28, 2008 06:09 PM

My guess is Coach will go back to Raw. Or maybe he'll replace Tazz as I heard Tazz's contract is coming up this summer. Okay, not Tazz...THE TAZZ!

dagget Apr 28, 2008 10:05 PM

LOL!!!

Well, that was certainly different tonight. :P

I've got a bit of an idea... Why don't we make our own PPVs? If I can find a way to record PS3 footage on my PC, I could do matches we could make up for PPVs. I'm sure they'll be better to watch than the stuff on TV lately. :forscience:

Other than that, Raw was interesting and they did manage to do something different. Also Murdoch didn't have a bad country singing voice. :P

mortis Apr 28, 2008 10:52 PM

Dagget, you should have seen some of NODQ's stuff. Check up on it on youTube and some of the older episodes on um...google I guess.

And nevermind on Kennedy.

Winter Storm Apr 28, 2008 11:14 PM

Kennedy made me laugh XDD he is so fucking awesome on the mic. The way he bopped his head as he was saying his name left me horse.

. . .
Sums up my thoughts with the "end" of the show.

As for HBK, I get what Y2J was pointing out with the video. Clearly the wrong leg is "injured" here ;p.

Slash Apr 29, 2008 12:15 AM

I thought I was the only one who saw that.

I was like..umm..okay so he tweaked his right knee but hes limping on the left?

dagget Apr 29, 2008 12:24 AM

Well, apparently Michaels DID tweak his knee at Backlash and a ref did throw the X out, but it wasn't as bad as everyone thought and alot of it was infact "show"

Big props to Triple H for using the Crippler Crossface and it seems now that the whole Benoit crap is slowly dying out and not become as taboo as it once was. Regal even mentioned something about that in a recent interview saying that his matches with benoit were on Youtube and was some of his best work and likes how people have moved past it the "bad" and focused on the wrestling aspect.

Slash Apr 29, 2008 12:32 AM

The whole thing with Benoit for me is that no matter what he did, you can't deny he did great things for the business.

Kostaki Apr 29, 2008 06:02 AM

I've got a bad feeling he's going to use that move exclusively now and called it the Tripler Crossface in an attempt to mitigate the heat involved with the usage of the move. If the boss' son-in-law uses it, no one gives a shit of course. I have no quarrel with Benoit really, what sucks though is that when you're having a conversation about wrestling and you mention the name "Chris Benoit" at any time, you are almost guaranteed to have someone speak up and say:

"Oh, you mean that guy that killed his family right?"

Not "Oh, you mean that guy that was in the Four Horsemen and had some spectacular matches, right?" anymore. That's the stigma involved with what he did, regardless of how many great matches he had. He'll always be "that guy that killed his family" to anyone outside the knowledge of his matches.

Slash Apr 29, 2008 10:23 PM

Best ECW spoiler to date!

Spoiler:
Right before Kane was introduced, Mike Adamle abruptly left the broadcast position. Tazz got up and looked confused. He went to sit back down, but after a moment or so, got up and left as well. There are currently no commentators during the main event.

Lets hope the first part of this is true for like..ever!

Winter Storm Apr 29, 2008 11:00 PM

Im convinced that if you go to ECW. . you're on a path to being booted out of door by Vince, or you're going to hit the door yourself.

mortis Apr 30, 2008 06:23 PM

Hmmm...dunno where they are going with the HBK thing. I would have thought it'd be Jericho and Batista turning heel, but they aren't making this as clear cut as who the person who will become heel is.

The sad fact about Benoit is that his legacy will ALWAYS be overshadowed by those events last June. I'm not going to deny his talent or the matches he put on, but that one event, which is pretty huge outside the 'world of wrestling', will also be thought of first. I remember watching Trips/Benoit waaaaaaay back in like 2000 with my parents. That was hard to watch.

The thing with Mike makes sense. Why Tazz is doing it, I have no clue. If anything, I thought THE TAZZ would have been happy (although people did take a few shots at him). I heard the other announcers were making fun of Mike quite a bit at Backlash.

Oh and hay, look who WASN'T on Raw for the first time in YEARS (if you discount that injury time). THE CHAMP IS GONE!!!

Oh, and on a seperate note, it finally happened. ONE THOUSAND POSTS. After EIGHT years, and who knows how many accounts which all were lost due to various forum crashes/wipes, FINALLY made it to be big one, oh, oh, oh!

Winter Storm May 3, 2008 11:51 AM

Well the Undertaker was stripped of the title, and his submission move was banned. lol..sorry 'taker, but you just can't have that long title reign you were supposedly getting.

mortis May 4, 2008 01:36 AM

I doubt that they will actually strip him of the title. I mean, seriously, who would it go to then? Back to Edge? Batista? Show? MVP? I forsee Edge being 'awarded' the title until Theodore Long comes in and stops it, then sets up a Final Chapter match between them in HIAC. Taker retains, then goes on to feud with MVP.

SimDaddyGT May 4, 2008 03:48 AM

But why would you consider MVP? The feud between him and Matt is reheating, and with Matt taking his US title and reversing the whole "I'm better than you" thing that MVP was doing a year ago, it's actually getting rather interesting.

I've been thinking more about Adamle's walk-off. Honestly, if he's leaving the WWE, it shouldn't really be that big a blow. Ever since his debut when he was interviewing the crowd, it's been rather dull.

Although, seeing him do something like what Styles did with Lawler before he walked off Raw's announce team would be rather nice, followed by a nice shove-down or punch to the face by "THE TAZZ!!".

mortis May 4, 2008 07:42 AM

THat's just it. I don't see MVP as a serious contender. At least, not right now. He has tons of potential, but like, say, C.M. Punk, isn't built up to that point yet.

Actually, what WOULD happen if 1) the title truly is vacant and 2) Punk used his MITB title shot? Would he instantly gain the championship? Hmmm....

Winter Storm May 4, 2008 12:30 PM

I do not think Punk has his eyes set on the "World Championship", or ECW for that matter. But who knows. . all these good talented guys being held back. On a side note, I like the transition the US title has went through. Beniot > MVP > Matt. None of those guys made/make the title look bad(and doesn't tote it around like it means nothing *cough*CenaAndWWEtitle*cough*). As for Adamle - that could have been the WWE trying to bring back the 'feel' that it had back then when it had many "reporters" doing recaps on events and PPVs.

SuperSonic May 4, 2008 02:54 PM

Well if Orton still had the title, then I'd think Punk would go for the WWE title on Raw. Now that HHH has it, I'm not so sure that's going to happen now.

As for the whole reporters doing recaps on events and PPVs, hey I'm all for that but there's only one man who truly deserves that job: Todd Pettengill (sp?). I don't know whatever happened to him, but he did some great work.

SimDaddyGT May 4, 2008 03:20 PM

Yeah, him and Doc Hendrix both. Don't get me wrong. Grisham's not bad at all, but I really kinda miss the days of Doc and Petten.

And I think you're right about Punk. He's not gonna wanna go for a heel turn anytime soon, and frankly, that's fine with me. His slight turn during the Original/Newbreed war really didn't quite pan out, especially since like, 2 weeks or so into the story he backed out the faction to go face again.

I'm sure he's also really waiting for Chavo to "steal" the title back from Kane, since they had that feud going before Chavo lost the title, which also proves my theory that he doesn't want a face vs face fight for a title.

Manny Biggz May 5, 2008 08:29 PM

For those that are curious, the Undertaker's submission finisher is known as the gogoplata. A Brazilian Ju-Jitsu submission hold.

Trish Stratus on Raw Tonight? hmmm....

AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA!!!/WTF!?? The Adamle is calling a match on RAW? Stay tuned for the new fuckups!

Don't know much about john cutler except his name rhymes with butler
Wow...The Cutler would have done it.

I think WWE is just fucking around now for some reason. But wow...this is just not smart on WWE's part.

SimDaddyGT May 5, 2008 08:48 PM

Errr... wow.... uhm....

Yeah, I'm gonna switch stations now.

Spoiler:
Mike Adamle takes JR's place for this match

Someone PM me when this bullshit is over.

SuperSonic May 5, 2008 08:48 PM

Spoiler:
You know, I'm starting to think that WWE has been leading us on all along on Adamle. Man oh man, is Adamle the next Coach?
