That's cool because you can use that to surf the web on your TV now, and games like Unreal Tournament 2007 will actually have M&K support for gameplay.
|
I actually bought the Memory Card Converter today. I'd like to take this oppurtunity to remind Sony that they don't need to make the box three times the length of the product. Let's keep things sophisticated here, Sony.
Oh, and also... http://img372.imageshack.us/img372/5...1062ef6.th.jpghttp://img452.imageshack.us/img452/5...1064ql3.th.jpghttp://img400.imageshack.us/img400/2...1065jz4.th.jpg WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!? |
yeah when I receive mine, I thought that a usb cable was at least included in that package XD I guess I was wrong...
and what's wrong in those pictures? O.o |
I think he's talking about the french, which if is the case I agree with him, however it's been like that since Quebec joined the rest of Canada so I don't think it's going to change anytime soon, lol. Now you know what 90% of Canada feels like whenever they have to look at that hellspawned language, lol.
P.S. If you read the instructions on the box you would have seen that it tells you to use your USB cable that came with your PS3, no biggie, just so you know. |
I know that I have a usb cable, I didn't wanted another one, it's just for the size of the box it's seem like there's more in it XD
and that's probably a box from Quebec, because in Quebec there's a law now that every game, must have a translated cover and manual in french. So most of the time we get 2 cover, one in french on top of the real one in english and we get 2 manual, one in french and one in english XD >.> I'm just happy that the game itself stay in english, even if I'm french I so hate the french translation... |
Oh no, I'm talking about the price. FIFTEEN DOLLARS FOR SOMETHING IM GOING TO USE ONCE. It makes me sad.
Also flOw being delayed to NEXT Monday makes me even more sad. Sony needs to make me happier, and fast. |
yeah I feel the same way, 15$ and I use it once and now it will collect dust... they should have thought of a better way to transfer ps2 save to the ps3 >.<
|
I bought that card transfer thing and I returned it after I transfered FFXII's game save. It's a box thats not sealed so GG to me I got my money back after returning it.
|
-_- I wish I didn't bought it on ebay >.> (I couldn't find it anywhere else and is was the same price XD)
I should have thought about that before XD |
I think they should be for arround 8$ instead of 15$ considering that you'd only use it once.
|
yeah, the only other time I can think of using it again, is if I need to go play to a friend house where he only has a ps2 and need to transfer my save back on my memory cards...
|
It's $20 here so myself and three other friends split on it because we're all going to need it at one point or another so it only cost $5 for me ^^
Mwahahahahaha... |
For 15 bucks it should at least include a bloody USB cable.
I'm keeping my PS2 and its memory cards around until PS2 games look as good or better on my HDMI cable connected PS3, as my S-video connected PS2... |
Ummm... it should look at least as good on HDMI as on S-video no problem, if you were currently using component however for your PS2, there will never be any enhancing done with the PS3 to make the PS2 games look better then it would via component PS2.
But hey, when they have to get 3,000 games working on the system to begin with, I think enhancements is a bit much to ask for, or at least for right now. |
No, ps2 games which lack progressive scan look like shit on the PS3. Maybe it's a HDTV only issue, or maybe some people are just blind to the problem; but irregardless, it is there. I still have my PS2 slim out for use until they remedy this as well. It's more an issue with shelf space for me, too -- I don't have much room for the behemoth PS3 and it's even more irritating with a ps2 and gcn taking up space too.

Well according to this site Kill Zone 2 (remember the fabled E3 trailer) is going to be released this year. It also looks like Heavenly sword will be released this year? http://www.the-magicbox.com/gaming.htm
It is from Magicbox so take it with a grain of salt ;) |
Heavenly sword is a concrete date for march, and the Killzone 2 date is a target, not a final.
Forsety: I don't bother with the progressive support hence why I didn't know. Mostly because only like 5 games have it and it's a pain in the ass to engage. |
heavenly sword got confirm this week to be release on March 6.
well I have a normal TV and in some game I can see that the graphic are not like on ps2 but it's not really noticeable to bother me(for now), but I'm pretty sure if I can see it on a normal TV that he can only be worst on an HDTV :\ |
Yeah, I was referring to how they show up on HDTVs. There's massive scaling issues with any output from the PS3 causing things to look even jaggier than the best output on a PS2. I'll see if I can take some photos to show the difference.
|
Real quick question for you guys -- I've got a standard CRT monitor with both S-Video and Component inputs on it. Which is gonna be better? I would think obviously component but I don't know much about S-video or how either would look on a CRT monitor.
Btw I know next to nothing about the TV itself. It's a Philips. |
HDMI > Component > S-video > Composite
is how it goes pretty much. So I'd go for component :) |
Even on what would typically be considered a standard-definition TV?
|
Yeah. They are both analog inputs (HDMI is digital, and the standard for HD connections), so component will be your best bet of getting the best image your monitor can display.
|
If it accepts component then you should use that. It's a better analog signal than s-video and composite. If it's a standard-definition tv then it's probably low-end component at probably 480p and progressive scan but that's still better than s-video and composite. You'll just have to set your PS3's video settings accordingly.
|
Cool. In that case, we've got a set of PS3 component cables at work. Think I'll go get 'em. Thanks!
