I remember hearing back in the day that they wanted to do a stable with him, Shelly Martinez (a.k.a. Salinas a.k.a. Ariel), and Finlay. That would have been interesting to say the least

SuperSonic Apr 7, 2008 08:27 PM

Good lord, Val Venis comes back to Raw for 5-10 minutes of ownage by Umanga. Val deserves to be taken more seriously.

Winter Storm Apr 8, 2008 01:33 AM

Val is loyal and has had some good runs, but he is past his prime. Also Umaga's potential is being wasted.

The whole show made me laugh..and Cena made me laugh again with more Orton jokes ><

"Randy claims he beat everybody. Why he can even beat JBL while he's passed out on the couch".

Anyway..

Spoiler:
Though the main event was too predictable. I knew it was gonna be a fatal four way when HHH came out lol. And again he's not gonna win that because he's got another kid on the way.
.

Slash Apr 8, 2008 01:36 AM

Wasn't Val out with an injury too?

And apparently Ron Killings will be coming back soon...

Spoiler:
I want mes an elimination chamber damnit!

dagget Apr 8, 2008 08:01 AM

Actually, I half expect an Elimination Chamber. Mainly because of Matt Hardy wanting a piece of Orton. With them probably moving CM Punk to Raw or maybe throw Kennedy in the mix (Where the hell has he been anyway, this is his second week not on Raw...)

Actually I hope Orton retains the title somewhat, now. I want to see a Triple H/JBL side feud for a while. Or have JBL win and it then bcomes a feud for the title.

Also, apparently some wrestler (either former or current, news people aren't allowed to say just yet, it seems) sold their house in Atlanta.. and the person who bought it found 2 shoeboxes in a wall that had steroids in it. :tpg:

That would be Mike Knox from WWECW. He's also in complete denial about it.

Well, there are also reports that 4 people lived in the house and that also, the steroids/HGH were being used in 2K4, a year before the wellness plan. And if he was tested and came out clean, then why bitch?

dagget Apr 8, 2008 02:05 PM

Looks like Orton is gonna be a pop in July too. On a side note.. in some interview Shane did... said there might be another WWE brand to pop up... I imagine they're probably going to bring out WCW as an attempt to get rid of TNA... blech.

mortis Apr 8, 2008 06:15 PM

That would be cool except 1) the ECW brand is basically a failure, 2) they don't have any shows to showcase WCW, 3) Bischoff seems to be long gone. I suppose if they change Smackdown! to Friday Night Nitro, that might work. However, given how wellthey used ECW, well...you get the idea.

SimDaddyGT Apr 8, 2008 06:32 PM

There's also a very slim possibility that they got ahold of WSX (haven't seen that broadcasting in about almost a year), not that it'll do em any good. WSX was just trying to be what ECW can no longer be, and that's Extreme. Plus, the talent really wasn't, well, very talented. Of course, that's partially WWE's specialty (Santino, Snitsky, MVP).

MTV pulled the plug right before the last episode...something about lighting vampiros face on fire didn't seem like it would be right for kids.

But throwing people off ladders, into exploding coffins, into exploding barbed wire traps and bodyslamming people onto concrete floors just seemed so amazingly right.

mortis Apr 9, 2008 05:06 AM

I think three is plentiful. They seriously don't have any more time to properly build another brand. Heck, they BARELY are able to build the ECW brand with the time slot they had before such that they had to start 1) using Smackdown! when it looked like the ECW timeslot would disappear, and 2) use the Internet for a few short weeks (I think? I might be confusing them with TNA who I know did that).

Winter Storm Apr 9, 2008 10:22 PM

Last week monday I forgot to say..that Jericho should stop using the lionsault before it either breaks his leg/knee, or worst.

Or the whole invasion thing all over again and TNA gets bought out.

looooooool

lol'in at this tidbit from Wrestlemania:

I'd pay to have seen that go on and hear that "Dont tase me, bro" chant. :tpg:

Also, Trish Stratus seems to be high on TNA and has admitted to not watching WWE regularly but only keeps up with it through weekly radio shows. Maybe we'll see her in TNA?

Winter Storm Apr 10, 2008 06:13 PM

I really don't agree with any WWE star going over to TNA, yea I'm paranoid. Although wrestlers leaving does speak loud volumes that working for Vince sucks and he should like DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT but still. The womens division in TNA is what it used to be in the WWE, so she's probably also attracted by that.

Slash Apr 10, 2008 06:48 PM

Yeah...think about the competition that Trish really had when she was there...

Lita, Victoria...and thats it when she quit. While she was there there was Ivory and Molly Holly.

Now I mean...its getting better for the WWE but I don't know, it feels like TNA's Knockout division is much more hard hitting.

mortis Apr 10, 2008 07:02 PM

Don't forget Jazz! And Mickie! And...um...

A copy of his contract, airplane tickets under his name, and other incriminating stuff was found in the same box as the steroids.

Slash Apr 10, 2008 08:52 PM

Ah...then again Knox is kind of boring to watch. They need to move Snitsky to RAW and put him in a monster heel team with Knox.

mortis Apr 11, 2008 07:50 AM

I still remember seeing Knox before he was in WWECW in which he wasn't that bad. Funny how even going from something like OWV or other development territories to the big time through the same company still results in them having their mic time/moveset/etc cut,

Additional Spam:
On a bit of a sad note, it seems Torrie Wilson is done. She has had two back surgeries and basically been told her career is over. This is probably the first woman wrestler in a VERY long time that has had to retire due to injury. A shame too. Hope she recovers from it.

On a hilarious (to me anyway) note, Petey Williams is now known as...LITTLE PETEY PUMP!!!

dagget Apr 13, 2008 12:46 PM

Here's something interesting:

Michaels Hayes wants to move Triple H from Raw to Smackdown to fued with Taker, being the heel in the long feud. However, Triple H does want to be a heel again, he also wants to have a title run on Raw. Trips doesn't want to be on Smackdown though... be interesting if he is indeed moved on the draft lottery coming up.

Slash Apr 13, 2008 02:45 PM

Kinda like how they "moved" HHH in the first lottery? LoL

HHH being on SD would suck because I think EVERYONE loves HHH as a Face, not to mention no one watches Smackdown

mortis Apr 13, 2008 07:37 PM

If Taker is moved to Smackdown!, then who IS the top face on Raw? Cena is definitely NOT an option. Jericho is already too far down the ladder. Punk is not built up enough yet (my guess is they will use the entire year to build Punk up). Umaga looks to be in the early stages of another face turn with what went on with JBL, but that is unclear and even then he'll not be the top face that wins the title. Between Orton and JBL, it seems JBL is the heel, and I doubt they will turn Orton face.

Speaking of Taker, did anyone feel he now is wearing garb similar to that of late 96 to 98? I wonder if this means eventually he'll go through the phase of 99 Taker, then go back through another phase of biker Taker.

Oh, and also, did anyone see Edge's face/mouth at the end of Mania?

So...

Spoiler:

Joe finally won the big one. I wonder how long his reign will last. I would not be surprised if this is a two week reign done just because Joe put his career on the line.

Winter Storm Apr 14, 2008 01:20 AM

About his attire - yes, and his mania getup was very ministry-ish.
Edge - Nope.
Spoiler:
MASSIVE FEUDS WILL SPAWN FROM HIS REIGN. TNA will be rolling in BIIIIIIIIIIG bucks and HUUGGE RATINGS.

(yes worthy of cappage)

Slash Apr 14, 2008 01:26 AM

Spoiler:
I think TNA was stupid for having Joe "put his career on the line" I mean seriously. Joe, Who is widely cheered in TNA and ROH, would lose so that he can never work for wrestling again!? Come on...seriously...couldn't they have made a more believable stipulation like...lose this time and no more chances or something?

Once I heard, TNA career and wrestling career on the line, it was like, okay gee...I wonder WHO is going to win...
