Been a while, so I figured I'd make a passing-by post.

Staying at 49 with my gnome for a while to get up rank in BGs. Goal is to (try) and hit rank 11 so I can get my mount, but that's a fuckload of PVP. It's either rank 11 or hit Exalted with Darnassus, in which I'm 300 from Revered.

Running MC again with a different guild and different set of rules for loot distribution. (no drama so far and no, no DKP either)

Wow... I'm fucking speechless right now.

Somebody dies outside of the game, and somebody organizes a memorial for the person. And then an alliance guild crashes it for NO FUCKING REASON.

Seriously, that's... bullshit. It's the sort of thing that should get accounts closed, IMO. There's PVP, and then there's being a fucking asshole. Somebody DIED, and people who could not afford to organize in any other way had their memorial ruined... why?

It just boggles my mind. I really have to wonder why somebody would do that. If a guild I were in did that, that would be an instant /gquit right there, period. Especially if it were condoned by the officers.

I saw that a few days ago. It disgusted me. Of course it's not really surprising. People are that big enough of dicks to do that shit, then gloat about it to make their e-peens swell with pride.

Is the new patching system working for everyone else it's crapping out on me? And as of yet they haven't put the patch up on fileplanet.

I am speechless at the fact that you and so many others a) get so upset over this or b) would actually take a wow funeral seriously. Yeah im sure its sad that whoever it was passed away...but i would laugh if i saw anyone having a ingame funeral for someone. I would laugh even harder if a guild attacked people during that funeral. Its a game, people need to stop taking it so seriously. It was freaking hilarious, even if it was a setup. I think the video that was released of it ...along with the music...was golden. One of the best videos i have seen in a long time based off of WoW...(even better then the "internet is for porn".

Wow. Apparently, you've never had anybody die. These people were her friends in one way or another, even if the only way they knew her was through a toon in the game. They wanted to pay respects to her by holding a memorial in an area that was special to her, and these fuckwits decided that they didn't deserve to pay respects to a dead person. What they did was the equivalent of somebody running through somebody's funeral naked, slapping everybody in the face, and pissing on the casket.

Oh, but it's a game. Never mind that you're playing with real people. And that oftentimes real life invades the game, and that this was one of those times. Never mind that these people knew her and respected her. Never mind that they wanted to honor her memory, and never mind that... people, in the loosest sense of the term, decided that it would be funny to fuck with a memorial for somebody who is dead.

Y'know, dead? The thing that happens where you're not around anymore, and you'll never be seen again? It's that sorta thing that makes people sad, and want to mourn the loss of a friend/loved one/relative/etc.

But it's a game, so it doesn't matter a damn bit, even if this was the ONLY WAY they could've organized like this.

They should have not held it in a contested zone no matter what and besides if you read through out the thread, rather or not it was made up. There was no posting or proof that someone died unless I missed it while sorting through all the POS posts.

Hell, if I was on that server and saw a lot of horde or alliance faction IN ONE AREA. I'd call my guildies or factionmates and wipe the out even if I KNEW it was a funeral. It is a game, and I like to piss the enemy off by ganking them rather high or low level. Rather or not it makes me an asshole I could care less, I joined a PVP server for a reason. Even when I was low level I was ganked many times, sure it doesn't justify why I do it but I follow this rule, "Gank or be ganked." simple enough.

Don't hold a funeral in a contested zone, plus don't hold one in a game where you are going to get ganked especailly on a PVP server.

It's stuff like that funeral dispute that remind me why leaving PvP servers was the best choice I ever made in WoW.

Sure does suck for the ones who were trying to hold it though assuming they were serious and it wasn't all made up.

I just love PVP cause it gives me something to do while I farm herbs and or when I am bored go kill the asian farmers.

Yeah, I just can't imagine how someone could make a guild on a pvp (aka ASSHOLE) server, then expect the OPPOSING FACTION to give a flying fuck about your dying member.

If I were a rogue, I would've shanked the shit out of that priest too. However, I'm not alliance, so I do have some disdain for the perpetrators already, but not for the outrageous reasons everybody else does.

Meh, both sides are equally bad, rather alliance or horde. Either way, I hate the opposing faction but I do love Horde more because of the lack of 12 year olds whining/owning guilds. Nothing like 13 year old with his squeeky voice trying to run a MC raid and trying to tell you what to do.

Blizzard's servers are fucked right now. Have been since patch 1.10. Authenticating issues are out of hand, shit still bugged after the "fix patch". You know, if I didn't know any better I swear this was a way to get people to cancel their accounts so they can weed people out. Then again, you'd actually have to be able to connect to cancel the account.

Yeah, Dagget, they do that to help fix thier server population problem. :P

And like I always say, I don't mean to bash people on alliance side but I completely hate it. Thier areas are large with very few quests and you constantly on the move(Hell you spend what? 9 or so levels in the barrens.). And I can't seem to get pass level 35 or so. They don't have as many instances that I like...

Um, I can't say much but I tip my hat to those who get to 60 and etc.

I believe the Ony bug has been fixed. My guild took her down for the first time this week, and even though I was not there, I didn't see anyone in my guild's forums making any mention of her bugging out and causing them trouble during the fight. Maybe it's a fix on a server by server basis though? :confused:
