That's pretty much it.

Spoiler:
Bingo, or... it could simply be the closure he was looking for. The 3 dolls will probably used in filler episodes with Kon or something to keep the manga and anime a fair distance apart.

Animation's already jumping back up, too.

Yeah i added bleach to my suggestion list thingy.. Dattebayo was stupid to stop Naruto for Pokemon... But im glad he still does Bleach though =D

Ohh, so I've finally caught up to the manga (which I had never read until last week) and just realized that the anime is back to the manga storyline now. Good stuff <3. I guess that's the reason for the new ending theme ("Sakura Biyori" by Mai Hoshimura), which is also <3.

somedude2387 Jan 18, 2007 09:30 PM

Well 111 is now out and I must say I'm enjoying the new episodes as some of the earlier ones
Spoiler:
was anyone else surprised that when Ichigo's dad killed that fisher hollow he didn't bring up the fact that it killed his wife? In that other episode when Ichigo fought it he got really fired up and unleashed but his dad was so nonchalant about it

Will Jan 19, 2007 02:47 AM

Yay, Bleach is good again. For someone who doesn't read the manga, these past two episodes have been real jaw-droppers.

Is the new chapter out yet?

Spoiler:
Simple. They're handling the anime differently. That's probably why they kept Ririn, Cloud and Nova, since they could take up time in episodes. Honestly, from what I've seen of the episode titles and the pace the manga is going, we're going to see another filler arc very soon.

But yeah, anyone who hasn't read the manga is definitely blown away by Ryuuken and Isshin stepping foward. Hopefully they keep Ichigo's near-lethal hold on Hiyori as close to the manga as possible. Definitely a scene I loved.

I was quite surprised to see that. I had to take a good look before I realised who it actually was.

There was one other thing they left out:

Spoiler:
Urahara didn't show up afterwards, like he does in the manga. I guess that's why he didn't mention it in the anime, since that's what spurs him to do so near the start of the Arrancar arc.

Erisu Kimu Jan 28, 2007 05:41 PM

Spoiler:
Actually, in episode 112, Urahara shows up. While in conversation with Isshin, Isshin does indeed mention his wife. So, it basically is following the Manga with the only difference being the three dolls added to the mix. I'm glad they didn't leave out the Isshin/Urahara convo. That's one of my favourite moments.

Oh, now that I've seen 112, I'm glad that they kept that there. Guess I jumped the gun a bit there, since leaving that out would definitely get viewers a little confused (example: Didn't that hollow kill his wife? Why didn't he mention anything, etc..). The way they handled their conversation was good, though the doll writing these things down was a bit irritating (filler, so it's bearable).

Anyone notice Ulquiorra and Yammy in the episode preview? They look pretty well drawn, hopefully they move as well as they look.

Ya, hope so. :D

I'm really cised for Shinigami appearance in school. That was jaw-dropping for me in the manga, and I hope it will be again come this next episode.

Yep. Hopefully the dolls won't come along for the ride once Ichigo, Chad and Ishida go to Las Noches.

Ulquiorra and Yammy appearing in the next episode means some good things to come :) I can't wait till Urahara fights Yammy later on.

Oh, we're probably going to get that either next episode, or in the preview that we get at the end of 113. I guess it depends on whether they really want to stretch out this bit to let the manga advance a bit further.

Spoiler:

Why would they come along to Hueco Mundo? The team's already got 3 companions with them, and two of the five don't have them to make those battles quicker (less dialogue/fewer characters to draw) to complete. Chad's, for example, is whizzing by pretty quick. It'll probably be done by the middle of the next chapter with maybe some Renji/Rukia coverage.

Ulquiorra/Yammy is going to awesome, though. Can't wait to see Chad get laid out completely by Mr. Yam, as that was a shocker in the manga. You're right though, we've got good times ahead.

Oh man, loving Bleach right now. I'm liking the Latin music they got going too with the Arrancar.

And they got to one of my favorite moments from the manga finally, that it even brought a sentimental tear to my right eye like it did when I read it...

Spoiler:
...the return of Rukia.

Having the other Shinigami there is also massive fun. =p

somedude2387 Feb 11, 2007 06:19 AM

Yeh the episodes now are sweet, I really enjoy waking up on the last few Fridays before Uni goes back knowing that a new episode of bleach is out. 114 was good but did anyone think...

Spoiler:
there was heaps of fan service in that ep or was it just me. The scene where Yoruichi was eating with just that top on seemed to last for a bit long. It was also funny how when all the Shinigami were walking down the school hallway it seemed as though the pair of breasts had dialogue

People have been saying that the anime is too close to the manga now and they'll probably have more fillers, just one question, are there any fillers out there in Bleach or Naruto or whatever that people think are good because everyone seems to complain about them.

Yeah, 114's animation and consistency as back up to what it was pre-Bounto. I was worried it was going to look like shit from then on (therefore ruining damn good manga scenes).

The manga is absolutely phenomenal now, and you can tell it's building up to something even with the major defeat of one of the characters and a ridiculous plot twist. For those of you who are following the manga, here's a link to chapter 262 where all this takes place.

BTW, I also like the theme they gave the Arrancar and, this may see minor, the sound the garganta makes when it opens/closes.

Spoiler:
There was already a good bit of fanservice in the chapter that this episode was made from, though they simply added more (Orihime's skirt during the bankai scene, for example) or lengthened what was already there to take up time.

So far, we've only had the Bounto arc. It was ok, but nowhere near as good as SS or what we've read of the Arrancar arc. Looking at what's happening in the manga at the moment, we'll probably see a filler arc. Hopefully not as long as the Bounto one, but filler nonetheless.

Piano Feb 14, 2007 01:48 PM

Which episode is the new story arc starting on? I skipped out the Bounto arc.

Summonmaster Feb 14, 2007 02:02 PM

Around 110 or so. They're only like 3 or 4 episodes into the new arc. If you see Hirako, the blond guy, flaoting around somewhere then you're at the right episode.

On that note, what chapter of the manga starts where they're at in the anime now? My friends keep teasing me about how "important" Inoue becomes later on and I guessed but I was only partly correct, so I want to catch up on what happens in advance.

The last episode (114) ends as manga chapter 195 ends. Totally awesome. <3

Metal Sphere Feb 15, 2007 11:52 PM

And yes, 110 is the first episode of the Arrancar arc. It was a long wait for those of us who waited for it, that's for sure.

115 was fucking amazing. The show's back up to where it was before in terms of animation quality and consistency, and the execution of the manga scenes was spot on. One thing that really got me riled up was
Spoiler:
the anime basically showing us that Ulquiorra is a Vasto Lorde, the strongest type of hollow. Oh the whole Yammy = Adjucha thing was surprising too
.

The anime's moving fast, or at least it seems that way. If the next episode they spend it mainly building up to the confrontation shown, that's a good sign they're pacing themselves.

Oh, Bleach Chapter 263 spoilers for you guys who are interested. Translated text + shots of the chapter inside.

somedude2387 Feb 16, 2007 05:09 PM

Yeh 115 was good, I got goosebumps in one bit (when you watch it you'll know where). I does definately seem like it's building up to something awesome, I can't wait!! If other anime's or previous episodes of bleach are anything to go by then I think episode 120 is going to be SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET, most of my favourite episodes seem to be multiples of 10

yuna00 Feb 19, 2007 09:15 PM

still lovin the anime. but seriously...who knows then this series is going to finally END??

btw...when's the movie coming out?

Kimchi Feb 19, 2007 09:24 PM

Whoo, the new chapter got somewhere, but not as much as I expected =(

Wait, you mean 264? It looks like it's a setup for the
Spoiler:
Rukia vs Kaien-Arrcanr and Renji vs Zaerapollo Grants fights.

265 is going to be wild, that's for sure. Now all we need to see is who Ishida is going to confront.

Kimchi Feb 22, 2007 03:11 PM

I hated how it just ended her dodging his blade. :gonk: I expected him to be along with Shinigami... (I can't wait to see his Bankai if he got one.)
