Hello again, it's been a while. |

Wow, this is becoming some sort of a habit. Journal entries weeks or months apart. Anywho, since I'm here, I'll fill you guys and gals in on what's happening in the world of Sonic.
A few weeks ago, me and a friend went to my local pub for a few ales. Now, as my alcoholic beverage of choice when I visit the pub is usually a Carling (it's nice, but not the best in the world. I usually turn to Encephalon for advice on beer....), my friend told me an unusual concoction to try out. WKD Blue (Blueberry flavoured Vodka, I think) and Carling together.
Tis very nice, and allows entry into the state of drunkenness a hell of a lot quicker than if they were drank seperately.
Now, the same friend, about a week ago, asked me whether I wanted to go with him to the dog track, and then into town for his 18th birthday. I was tempted, but seeing as though I had spent a lot of my money on college and what not, I couldn't really afford it.
But to him, I said, "No". And didn't give a reason why. When he asked, I should have said. "Bit uptight on the old money front." But instead I said "Can't be arsed, to be honest."
WRONG ANSWER. I could understand that he was pissed off, as anyone would be. But after I had thought about it, I felt terrible about the way I had just brushed away his request the way I did.
I decided to try and make it up to him, and offered to take him out to a few pubs around my local area. He declined, saying he had already made plans. He then asked me if I wanted to come with him, around town to a few bars and then to a few clubs. And I said yes, because I at least owed him a drink, and that the night sounded good.
So last night, about 4 of us went out around Sheffield. And I had a blast. First bar we went to, place called The Cavendish, was a bit shit to be honest, and the pints were, well, also shit to be honest. Need to get their pipes cleaned me thinks.... Still, had a couple of good games of pool, so it wasn't all bad.
After that, we carried on to a bar called The Common Room. A helluva lot better, and the beer was gorgeous. As a beer should be.
Last stop of the night was a club called Gatecrasher One. One of the main dance night clubs in Sheffield. Despite a delay in actually getting in (never known someone to get so fussy over a fucking coat), the place was electric. I've never known an atmosphere like it. Ever. I'm defintely doing it again.
I crashed on to a bed at 3AM, and woke up (surprisingly without a hangover) at about 11AM feeling a little worse for wear.
Still, that's what Friday nights are for, right?
