Diary Comics

So I'm doing this thing now. My goal this year is to do more comics (last year was to do a daily sketch thing), and I know I won't get any better if I don't work on it. I make one strip a week until I can do more.

It's more of an exercise on writing and doing basic comics, at least I have something to start with aside from just doing pinups & poses.

Going to California

So, me and the wife have booked a ticket to San Francisco this November. This is the first time I'll be visiting the US. We'll be attending her cousin's wedding and we'll be up there for 2 weeks. I'm thinking of going to LA for a day tour or two for a city tour or something, but right now I'm still doing my research.

Can you do dudes recommened places we can visit or go to? Any tips on what to do / not to do?

Picture Entry: STGCC 2013 (Singapore Toy, Games, and Comics Convention)

Last Saturday I went to the biggest pop-culture convention in Singapore called STGCC. Same as last year, I only went there to meet some Filipino artists who work for Marvel (who I've befriended through Skype chats). There were a lot of Toys, a bit of comics, and a small amount of games. I've mainly roamed the Artists' Alley looking for cool art and sketchbooks. I would rather spend my money to support the small artists rather than the big companies.

Q's BOX OF AWSUM!!

So guess what I got yesterday?!

It's a box from Q! I was surprised that it arrived so fast, I expected it to at least take a month.

I was really excited when he said he was gonna send me a promo copy of Last of Us so that I don't need to buy it. But when I opened the package, I got more than what I imagined.

BOX FUL OF AWESUM!!!

With this, I'm good until next year. And the wife will probably be happy that I won't be spending for new games anytime soon.

My Comics Side Projects Shamless Plug Update

Hello internet friends!

I'm thinking of plugging some of my stuff here. So here's some stuff that I've been doing recently aside from having a day job.

Chameleoff Comics (webcomics)
It's a webcomic about a colorblind chameleon. This one is pretty new, it's more like a practice project so I can get comfortable doing comics.

Desk Jockey Podcast (podcast)
It's a comics workstation podcast. Basically, me and my friends talk about comics process, techniques, and other stuff while on our drawing tables. We started this around August this year.

Tres Komikeros (podcast)
It's our (semi)weekly comics review podcast. We review 3 main books, and do quick reviews of other books we've read on our own. We've been doing this for almost 3 years, I think.

I'm planning on doing more art related projects (sketchblog, sketchbook) and hopefully write and draw my own comics. But for now, these are the things that I've been doing outside of my regular paying job.
