I win!
About time that got cleared up. The postal station at U of M finally cancelled the contract that shouldn't have been active to begin with and has sent word to the bursar's office to clear my fees.

Of course, I feel kind of sheepish about the whole affair since shortly after complaining to them I got home and checked my keyring and found out I actually didn't really turn the key back in. >_>; But what the hell were they doing keeping the box open for two years, long after I'd stopped being enrolled, and never ever contacting me about it?

I'd have paid up if it was like one semester, since that was my bad. But if they're going to be fuck-ups to that degree, I don't think they deserve any of my money.

I don't think I'm cool enough to hang out here.
I look around at people's journals, and I have no idea what to say anymore. Nothing in FYAD the Sewers makes any sense to me. Tails ceased to be comprehensible a long time ago; all I can ever get out of him now is 4chanese. And I honestly cannot tell when you guys are being dramawhores on purpose or just engaging in the serious business of the internet.

My brother is a loon
My brother was out beating the job path today.

He put in an application at the Sanrio store. In more than a joke capacity. He stands a good chance of actually being hired.

The cobblestones for you!
Did this ever get shared here? The Outbursts of Everett True is a comic strip that appeared in papers in 1905-1927. It's about a grumpy old man who is the self-appointed champion of decency and proper behavior. He typically encounters someone being inconsiderate to others or generally being a pain in the ass. Then he beats the shit out of them.

Then he goes home and gets owned by his wife.

Considering that this strip is a hundred years old, it's amazing how the more things change, the more they stay the same. There's a few that are awfully dated (race suicide ain't the most PC of subjects nowadays), but for the most part it's just Everett dishing out proper compensation to the same inconsiderate pricks we deal with in the modern day.

Treasure vs DC & Marvel
I have no idea where I ought to post this, and nobody cares about my topics, so I'm just gonna ramble about it here. According to this news story, Marvel and DCs retarded trademark on the term "super hero" is being challenged by Treasure, of all people, on account of it interfering with them copyrighting Gunstar Super Heroes. Just an odd turn of events I noticed.

I am going to have to drive down to Memphis and beat somebody's ass.
University of Memphis will not release my transcript. The reason: outstanding fee. It took three phone calls, but I discovered that it was a $30 mailbox fee to the campus post office. Even though the thing should have been cancelled automatically once I stopped being a student there, apparently I've been accruing fees for the past two years. Of course they never did see fit to actually notify me of my outstanding fees for the past couple years.

This wouldn't piss me off nearly as much were it not for the fact that I did, in fact, cancel my mailbox. I physically handed them the key and filled out a change-of-address form while I was there. Apparently they never bothered to update their paperwork, and have gleefully been charging me ever since. This is going to be an interesting exchange of emails, I can tell.

But I'll be damned if I'm going to pony up $30 to these fuck-ups. I will not reward stupidity.

Is this thing on?
Hey look, Chocojournals. Let's see if this thing still works.

First off, just wanted to share something. I saw this a while back, but obviously I wasn't able to comment on it. It's the logo for the Nashville Children's Theater. While I applaud what they're doing, their logo is, well...

I'm sorry, this is the gayest thing ever. I mean, c'mon. Who came up with this?

Also, what's with this recent trend of unknown users coming out of nowhere with their retarded forum games in Community Commons? Werewolf is not supposed to be such a complicated game, and this daffy writing contest really belongs in the Creator's Cafe.

Maybe I should sign up and submit some horrific slash fiction.

EDIT: Oh yeah. Which one of you nuts is Tails? You airplane nerds are all sounding alike now. >=p
