Another reason I hate Wal-Mart |

|
So last night, my mom tells me she's going to the store and my sis is giong with her. I need to keep an ear out for the phone, car (to help with groceries). You know all that good stuff. I do (this is about 3 am) and just start searching the web for college programs and grants. So an hour passes, they're not back yet. Alright, no sweat. Another hour passes and I get a bit concerned. They get back about 5:30 in which my sister comes in and is pissed, "Mom fell in the store." I'm like "Oh god, what happened?" She's like "she tripped on a coat hanger, and is really pissed right now." So I start helping with the groceries and I help my mom into the house and sit her down. She also has a cut on her knee (which is kinda dangerous for her to have any open wounds because of her being diabetic.). I ask what happened and she's like "I fell flat on my back after I tripped on a coat hanger. I'm pissed because they think I'm lying and also they took about 30 minutes for the night manager to bring me an accident report and then she said that she couldn't find the coat hanger because the area had been cleaned up already." I'm beginning to grow a bit mad myself when she then said. " What pisses me off is when I fell, I let a yell out for someone to come help, but no one did. I was on the ground for a few minutes before your sister came by."
My sister is a wreck because she never goes off and leaves mom alone and she actually wanted to look at some fish since her beta died a few weeks back. I'm pissed because of all the fucking security cameras they have in wal-mart, no one managed to see this shit, nor anyone cared to help her up. This is just simple sorriness on Wal-Mart's behalf. The cashier even attempt to rogue her into admitting she was clumsy by saying, "You know I'm a clumsy person, I fall down all the time." To which my mom replies, "I don't."
This is just fucking retarded. Of course if she were to try and take them to court, they'd just doctor the evidence up (just like the coat hanger that she tripped on wasn't there anymore after she started filing the paperwork and the night manager went to look for it.) or try to make it seem like she was justing wanting money from a frivolous lawsuit.
Either way, I'm not a very fucking happy camper with Wal-Mart over this, not like I should be surprised by their conduct at all, having worked for them before.
