SERIOUS PAIN

I can't sleep worth a shit. I had a pilonidal cystectomy two weeks ago, and for the past week, I've been in some serious pain. I won't go into the messy details, but due to evidence this past week, I'm positive it's coming back (these things have a high reoccurence rate). I've taken way too much ibuprofen, but it really isn't helping. I probably should have filled that vicodin prescription, but I didn't think it was worth the money at the time. That was smart.

BAH. Bitch and moan, I know it's annoying, but I'm in fucking pain, man. I can't lay down on my back, let alone close my eyes. And damn it, it's hard to feel like a man when you're bleeding out of your ass. I really hate that I got school and work tomorrow. What should I do? Someone leave a comment or something; that'd be grand.

Buying textbooks with little more than $100. =p

Tired n' stuff

Damn, I'm good. Although, my Microbiology book did cost half of that $100. Considering that I just made $288 selling six of my old textbooks on eBay, I'm feeling pretty spiffy about now. By the way, anyone else use this website? I've been using that search engine for a few semesters, and it's always saved me hundreds, when compared to buying the books with artificially high prices at my school bookstore.

*sigh* It's a bit depressing starting this new semester, though. I was excited at first, but I'm already feeling burned-out from having to work at the warehouse whenever I'm not in school. I'm entertaining the thought of quitting, perhaps to work at another warehouse. Living in the Midwest gives me a lot of options on that front, and most of those places don't hire (Mexican) temps like my warehouse does. With my forklift training and know-how of being an inventory analyst, I could do the same $9 an hour job somewhere else for $16 or more an hour. I don't know...I know my boss pretty well, and he's flexible when it comes to my school schedule. Guess I'll just keep my eyes open for now.

Wii Problems, Customer Service Rep thinks I do porn

Long story short, my Wii is screwed up, so I decided to call Nintendo's customer service and see if I could have it repaired. After being redirected nine times, I was able to talk to a customer service rep and tell him what the problem was.

CS: "All righty. Your name please?"
Me: "Max Biggs."
CS: "...wow, really!? That's a pretty cool name there."
Me: "Heh, thanks. Now here's the thing. When I boot my system-"
CS: "That name can help you in certain entertainment sectors."
Me: "....porn, right?"
CS: "Yeah man! Are you in porn?"
Me: "No, no I'm not. Now when I boot up, black lines, like video artifacts-"
CS: "Man, what a crazy name."

Thanks, Nintendo Customer Service. Fortunately, we did get business taken care of, and they're sending me special instructions on how to return my Wii to get it repaired. Unfortunately, it would seem the rumors of transferring virtual console games from a broken system to a newer one are false, so I have to wait "Four to thirteen business days" before I get a special shipping label with instructions to send my Wii out. Hopefully I'll get it back soon after that.

What I thought was interesting was that they had the family history of calling Nintendo. My mom called twelve years ago for whatever reason to have a part shipped to us. Maybe an SNES RF adapter?

Gamingforce is Alive Again

It always warms my heart to see this place come to life around this time of year, what with all the holiday-themed threads, Sass's Christmas Card sign-up, the Secret Santa action, and all the bustle around the annual Gamingforce awards. With new things like the Christmas Karaoke, this place is seeing a lot of activity after a few months of being pretty stagnant, and I'm glad to see it. Maybe it'll inspire me to post as much as I did before 2005 (although not likely). Anyway, yeah. I guess this was a useless, sappy entry.

Oh, and the extended family has left after an extended stay following Thanksgiving. It was fun having my little cousins over. Actually, it was really interesting on the ride over to the house, because my brother and I tried playing Nintendo DS wirelessly together, in two separate cars. After playing New Super Mario Bros. with him while on the highway, I know now that the range on the DS is pretty nuts.

Which means I have to skip two of my morning classes to do so. By no means am I a class skipper, but...well, I know where my priorities are. >_> Doors open at 10:00, so I wanna get there at 6:45 or so, 7:00 AM at the latest. Think I'll pick up the X-Box version of MK: Armageddon while I'm there, too.

Of course, I had to email my teachers about this.

I know the chocojournal isn't a contest or anything, but just now, after replying to a comment in my journal that's three days old, my journal appears in the Last Commented table. Since I'm clueless when it comes to things such as coding, I ask seriously, is there any way to fix the Last Comments so that those who comment in their own journals aren't added? It's pretty unfair to whoever I just bumped. Of course, I only ask this to see what people think. I don't expect bobo to get up and fix an extremly minor problem on the whim of some member.

Salmonella has me grounded. :(

Worn out

Guessing it's salmonella because a) I had a lot of chicken yesterday, and ate some parts I shouldn't have, and b) I had no stomach ache before all of this. I woke up at 1 this morning and turned my basement into a disaster zone, but on the plus side, I was able to get out of work. Actually, that probably isn't a plus. I need money. >_>

Sadly, this is the third time I've gotten salmonella, although it seems pretty acute this time. Usually it lasts five days or so, but I'm already feeling better. Of course I say that now; watch what happens when I put some food in my system. In closing, sorry for the disgusting entry. Why did you read all the way to the end?
