This is weird.
Somehow, when my internet got zapped the other day it messed up AIM, so I reinstalled it. Ever since I did that, my mouse is possessed. It jumps around all over the place and won't go where I tell it to go. Trying to click on something is almost impossible. For example, just now when I tried to click on "Chocojournal" it took me five or six tries to actually do it. Does anyone know what would cause this?

The only things people care about are boobs and kitties.
It's true. I'll bet this entry gets three times more comments than the one below.

I'm so relieved it's Friday.
It’s been an extremely hectic week that included many ups and downs that have left me feeling pretty exhausted.

My weekend plans are as follows: Tonight I’m going out with a group of friends from work. I have no idea where we’re supposed to be going, but as long as there’s music and beer – and there will be – it’ll be fine with me. I’m not a huge fan of clubs or bars, primarily because they’re so loud and smoky but tonight I’ll be contributing to the smokiness as I still have half a pack of clove cigarettes left over from the meet. After I finish this pack I am NOT buying another one, and I mean that. Seriously. =/

Tomorrow morning I’m taking Wyatt to Books-A-Million for his Saturday morning Yu-Gi-Oh duel. These are fun because he loves going and I get to sit and read and drink coffee for three hours. Last time some lady sitting on the sofa across from me talked my ears off, but this time I have a plan that involves my iPod. I might not even turn it on, but most people get the hint that you don’t want to be chatted up when you’re wearing one. Sometimes I think I’d like to work on this anti-social streak I have, but the truth is that I probably never will.

Tomorrow night Deborah (my sister) and I are taking our kids to see Ratatouille. It looks pretty good for a kid’s movie, and who am I kidding, anyway? Those are the only ones I ever get to see in theatres. I also may be able to squeeze in a couple of hours with Wyatt at the pool tomorrow if I play my cards right. If it’s 97 degrees again, though, I’m just not sure I can handle it.

Sometime between now and Sunday I want to watch two DVDs that I bought yesterday (The Terminal and The Ladykillers). I’ve seen them both before, but it’s been a while.

Oh, and I really, really need to go car shopping. Randy has determined that we need to sell the 4Runner like, yesterday, and he’s probably right. That thing is huge and a terrible gas-guzzler, and I'm not going to be able to afford the gas or the payments anymore. I’m thinking about a 2004 or 2005 Honda Accord or something like that, but I don’t know (or care) much about cars. All I know is that my Katamari Prince decal had better come off in one piece and stick to my new car window, whatever it ends up being. Any suggestions?

Yay, Internet!
My cable and internet was knocked out over the weekend and they finally came out to fix it today. =)

Now, there's a good reason why I did this. Well, actually there are several good reasons, but one is that if anything ever happens to my iPod I'll be able to recreate my playlist. Here's what's on it now (and please don't laugh at me):

Look what made me late for work this morning.
Last night we had an absolutely horrendous thunderstorm. I couldn't sleep to start with, and just as I decided to get up and read or something, the wind started howling. The next thing I knew it sounded like my little house was going to blow away. I lay there in bed for at least an hour listening to what was probably the scariest thunderstorm I've ever experienced, when all of a sudden I heard a huge BOOM and a simultaneous loud cracking noise, and then what sounded like a biiiiiiig tree falling. I figured it probably was somewhere out in the woods, but this morning as I rounded the curve in my driveway I saw this:

Here's a view from the other side of it, which I took after I literally crawled over it in my skirt and heels this morning in an effort to get to work. Oh, and that ghostly figure at the top of the hill is my mother, by the way. She had to drive me to work this morning since I couldn't get my car up the driveway.

$400 later, the tree has been removed. I'm sadder that there's one less tree in the world than I am that my bank account is $400 lighter.

Last night
I did something so fun(ny). I went to a line dancing class with my mom and sister. For those of you who don't know (I can't imagine who wouldn't, but maybe someone doesn't) here's what it is:

YouTube Video

My sister and I were the youngest people there, by far. At first I couldn't stop laughing - not out loud, of course - over where I was and what I was doing, but it turned out to be a fun night out with my mom and sister and I learned something new, and if my friends drag me out to that huge country dance club again I'll be able to try out my new skillz.

Haircut today. I can't wait. =)

Sigh of Relief
This was the worst damn week ever. So much horror went down at my house over the last five days no one would believe it if I told them (so I didn't), but the result is that things are going to get better now. I feel such a sense of relief and, dare I say, happiness. Today I'm going to smile. I hope it doesn't crack my face.

Also, my cluster headaches are GONE, my cold is better, I have reached some decisions on several things that I've been agonizing over, the killer period did not kill me, I lost two more pounds, tomorrow is payday, and I have the meet to look forward to in a few days.

I wish I could prop my own entry, but I tried and I'm not allowed.

Damn.
I like how there isn't going to be ONE SUNNY DAY the whole time we're in Maine.

I do love thunderstorms, though.
