What I like about smooth Jazz.
For some reason it allows me to concentrate really hard for really long time, but I am absolutely exhausted when I am done.

I tend to have the urges to get up or split my concentration when listening to other kind of music or podcasts. There is something to be said about suitable work music, once the creative parts are done and technical part sets in.

Although just because technical works are usually repetitive and sometimes monotonous, like inking and shading, that doesn't mean choices aren't not being made. Often time I catch myself just set my work on auto pilot, sure its easy to do, but work usually come out pretty sloppy afterward. Its important to stay conscious even when working through monotonous processes. If the musics become too distracting, sometimes it is important to unplug.

100 Pages of garbage.
So I have been working this webcomic for a while, surprisingly, it has just recently reached 100 comic.

On the one hand, I was like, "whoa," I wasted a lot of time working on this. On the other hand, it has never really seen to generate any sort of following or interest. I don't know what the readership is like, or if my narrative is effective, almost nobody said anything about it. Its really rather disillusioning (?) .

Accompanying to tomorrow's comic is this whiny rant, I am posting here because I don't think there will be people actually reading it at my site. lol.

Perhaps that is quite enough, don't you think? Maybe it is time to try something different, or at least a reboot.

Compressing the narrative and characterization, make it leaner, more interesting.

I wonder how many other creators on the internet feel like they are shouting into a vacuum.

Is this just not connecting with the right audience? Or perhaps the story is boring, too slow or too contrived? Since I really don't promote it, its hard to gauge.

Although I believe that something like this should be able to stand on its own, if it can't generate words of mouth, its probably not strong enough to begin with.

But shelving a concept that I have put at least two years of my life into, its so hard.

So hard.

Science!
You know, I kept saying that, in order to get good at drawing, you gotta learn how to enjoy the process. The act of drawing itself, so naturally you'll keep doing it.

... although I admit, I don't enjoy EVERY drawing processes...

perspective grids, HOW DO THEY WORK HURR DURR

Also I created the model sheet for that thing...

Not sure what I was trying to accomplish with it.

EPIC Chase is EPIC
YouTube Video

There are very few perfect moments in TV anime, but I content this is one of them. KyoAni seems to know how to tickle my inner Sakuga fan.
