Goddammit Konami

After learning about a Rocket Knight Adventure revival I had a massive orgasm. A sequel to one of my favorite Genesis games of all time! Last time I went on an adventure was when the SNES version of Sparkster came out. Many years later when he gets a retro revival Konami somehow lets a shitty British developer handle the creation of this sought out continuation.

Hopefully they will catch a lot of heat from the fanbase and seek out a different artist that will give Sparkster his charm back. Plus this game sort of needs a graphical overhaul. I know, graphics aren't everything and there have been successful 2.5D games that retained the charm of the originals but so far this looks very disappointing. But who knows, maybe he animates well. Kinda hard to judge that from still screenshots.

To my xboxlive friends

Just a heads up. As some of you already may know my roommate plays xbox live on my account. I'm extremely busy during the week and am not at home to monitor my account. So if I'm online during the week there's a 98% chance it isn't me. I don't mind him using my account since he only plays CoD4 and doesn't say anything. My roommate also hangs out with Rod and Rod won't hesitate to check my messages or screw around with my friends by sending text messages impersonating me since he finds it hilarious. So please don't take it seriously if I'm suddenly an asshole to you because it probably isn't me. In fact, I'm most likely not aware of it.

Finally it cools down.

You know. After weeks straight of 95-105F super dry weather it finally cooled down this weekend. Yesterday night and today were especially nice. Usually it gets so hot outside that we have a very low humidity level (between 5-15%) and it's super hot and dry outside. At this point I'm used to our mediterranean climate since I've grown up in it but these nice days like today always make me feel great and more energized.

And even last night it was less than 70-80F outside for once.

It should start cooling down now since summer is almost over. I heard it might even rain over here soon. We haven't seen any rain in a few months.

Stupid students.

So I was in my Algorithm Design and Implementation class and I noticed that this one chick with like 2 chins and chunks of body fat bulging out of her shirt spent the whole class period face booking it and IMing her friends instead of taking notes. I thought to myself, "Why would you pay to take this class and not pay attention to the lesson?" He then assigned us to groups to work as a team and THANK GOD she wasn't placed on mine. She'll go into projects clueless on the subject and will probably attempt to leech a free grade as she sits at home myspacing it while eating 5 pounds of ice cream.

In other news some dickhead dumped a bunch of kittens near the dumpster outside the office. Leaving them out in California heat for someone else to take responsibility for is WRONG and they deserve to catch some incurable disease and suffer a slow painful death. I mean, they could have dropped them off at a shelter or something. Luckily someone noticed them and now we are trying to give them away to employees who want them. I played with one of them for a bit but I can't have any more cats right now.

My friend is trying to hook me up.

With a female. She's super skinny, decent looking, and possibly nerdier than me. She plays the shit out of WoW and is going to school to learn how to program and design video games. She was over my place yesterday along with 5 other people and my friend Will kept telling me to make a move. I showed off my big wall of video games and she told me she literary jizzed in her pants. The only problem is that she talks a lot about WoW and most of the stuff she talked about flew way over my head. I quit ages ago and have no interest in playing it again. She's also a little weird. But then again, I'm pretty weird too. She's holding a party next Friday so I'll probably go and see how things go.

There is also this stalker girl in the central loans department of our ops center that keeps asking my friend Alexa about me. She's really nice and everything but we have very few common interests. >_>

In the meantime I am trying to change my looks a bit. I have kept short hair for the last 5 years but now I'm letting it grow out! In fact, when it's windy outside I can feel my hair blowing around. People are also telling me that it makes me look more nerdy. Especially if I just comb it straight down and not put any gel in it. xD

What else can I rant about? Oh yeah, school! Freaking Chemistry class was like "lol, 3 day weekend so you have 3 packets to finish before Tuesday." Most of it is problem solving too. It's not hard to do or anything... just time consuming. Plus I need to start memorizing the periodic table. Gotta know the first 4 rows (by heart) by the 15th. Programming class is making me create a basic calculator in visual c++ or whatever. I'll do half of it tomorrow if I can keep off Mana Khemia 2, which is a VERY ADDICTIVE game.

Class report:
Geometry - I should be taking trig right now but they said I have to complete Geometry first. My teacher makes a lot of mistakes on the worksheets and loses track of himself pretty often. Otherwise he's a really nice guy.

Algorithm Design and Implementation - Pretty fun so far. My teacher came from asia though and is probably the 6th Asian professor I've had. He came straight from Taiwan and his worksheets are full of Engrish. But as a first programming class I'm surprised he's going to have us jump into C++ programming.

Chemistry: Oh my god. My teacher used to be a lawyer and now he teaches Chemistry. He doesn't really teach though. Instead he opts to hand out a packet with somewhat confusing instructions and makes the groups figure it all out themselves. Luckily Icy is a pro so he can tutor me when my instructor fails to help me fully understand the material.

Linux Operating System - Probably my easiest class. Online class with online open book quizzes. Basically all the work is done remotely by connecting to the school's Linux server and building our programs going by the chapters in our book. He recorded all of his lectures and gave us CDs with his lectures on it.

Once again my friends fail.

All they like to do is sit around and watch movies when we hang out or sit at home and do nothing when they don't hang out and are off of work. When I try to plan drives to San Francisco they complain that there's no point in going there. When I try to plan something that is FREE like hiking on a scenic trail at a park they complain that it is too hot.

Seriously, I <3 all my friends and all but sometimes they just kill me when they don't want to do anything fun. Oh let's get drunk at home and watch reruns of episodes from shows we've seen twenty times already!

Stupid Chem 300 class

I bought my textbooks today and holy shit were they expensive. 450 altogether. Chem 300 requires a bunch of side shit and I had to pay for print-offs of the lab work which my professor created. I still need something called an iclicker remote but they were sold out. What the hell is that for anyway?

I need to sell that S2000 soon or else I might not be able to afford my mortgage.

Yeah. I'm in the mood to watch anime again. Been awhile since I've completed another series. Anyways, right now I'm watching Death Note which is an awesome anime. I'm also looking for a non-sucky fantasy anime that sort of plays out like an RPG adventure game. Any ideas? Hmmmmmmm...

Getting through the Econ crisis

I have a dude coming here in the morning and there's a chance he'll buy my s2000. After he pays and I have verified the funds and sign over the pinkslip that's all I have to do besides fill out the change of liability form.

How is insurance handled? Is he covered under mine until he calls to add the car to his? I'd assume that I call my insurance company and tell them the car was sold and they pay me back some prorated amount?

Do I take my insurance card and registration out of the car after selling it too?
