iPhone's 2.0 megapixel camera sucks\pictures of my boring office
I was pretty freaking bored at work today. There was nothing to do and the semester of school is pretty much done. I guess I could start studying ahead of time for Japanese 411 or read some math books. Today I just took pictures of the boring room I'm trapped in for 8 hours a day.

Spoiler:

My weaboo wallpaper on my work computer.

Outside my room where the rest of I.S works. Our support office is a room at the very end with no freaking window.

I do like opening up and smelling the fresh new Dell machines we get in.

Do we have enough dell computers? :3

Yes, that's a bored miles.

nihongo nihongo nihongo nihongo
I have like a 95% in Japanese 402 right now. I could fail the final and still get an A in the class if I really wanted to. Also got a 4.0 GPA since I've only taken Japanese at this school and got an A in both classes. Roffle~

I talked to a counselor today about taking Computer Science and eventually transferring to CSU (California State university, Sacramento). He gave me a list of what the requirements are and HAY, I already completed one of them. Two semesters of a foreign language. Rock on! Luckily I won't have to take the SATs EVER to get enrolled in CSU since I'll be taking the required courses here. I do, however, have to take 3 assessment tests. One for math, one for reading, and one for writing. Reading and writing should be no problem to me. I wish I knew what the hell this essay test was on though so I can have an idea of what to write before my time limit begins. Now math is the big one I'm worried about. I haven't studied math in a long while so I barely remember anything. I would like to score as well as possible to avoid taking basic math classes like algebra 1 again. Does anyone have any tips on this? I was just gonna pull out some old geometry text books in stuff and do some exercises in those.

My roommate plans are starting to fail. My friend who planned on moving in is at the point where he's so far in debt that he can't afford to leave home. I can't seem to find anyone willing to move out. Without a roommate, there's no way I could afford to work full time and go to school full time. Computer Science isn't something to fuck around with, or so I've heard... 500-600 a month for a room. Not a bad price considering I live in a rich area with little to no crime. Apartments around here start at 1,200 and up for a two bedroom. I don't want to put up ads to strangers advertising my extra room. I'd rather I get someone I know and can trust to move in here. Of course I doubt any of you would want to move here, or to California. XD

Temari: just a fair warning
One of the first things I'm going to do when I start coding stuff is force thousands of POKE POKE pop-ups to come up each time Temari loads a page on the forum. And this will only work on temari's user account and or IP address alone. <3

It's what she deserves for challenging ME, the master of internet pokings, to a poking contest on facebook.

Kinda ticked off today.
My boss just has to make life more difficult for me. They responded to my request to switch to part time in order to further EDUCATE MYSELF and what do they say? "No. We want the position to remain full time." So that means I can either forget about it or take evening classes part time and SLOWLY work my way towards the degree. I think I'm going to find a job that will let me work time and go to school.

I just don't get why they refused it. First of all, there's already 3 of us there. The first one is my boss. She supervises my co-worker and myself. My co-worker who is in the same position as me works part time every day. She works part time because she has to pick up her daughter from school every day. She's also best friends with my boss and they can bend the rules to the way they see fit. I'm the third person and they stick me on all the boring repetitive work that they don't want to do. When I'm there they rely on me to do everything as they sit and chat about food. Sometimes they take hour long walks on bank time and of course take another hour lunch break later. I have a feeling my boss was against this because she didn't want to have to work for once. And honestly, it's not like we're busy IN THE FIRST PLACE. All day today I probably had 7 support calls total.

I've been very helpful to this company and have earned the respect of probably a high percentage of the employees there. The president of the bank calls and asks for me to help him with his computer issues directly. I even was voted for the technical assistance award. Despite all this my boss and co-worker continue to shit on me every day. I think them blocking me from getting my education so they can be lazy is the last straw.

I might not be able to find a IT part time position that offers full medical benefits and tuition support but I'll look hard anyway. The fall semester won't start for awhile and I will still visit a counselor as planned. I know staying in this IT department working under this witch won't get me anywhere in life. My department is run by control freaks and even though I'm a domain administrator with administrator access to everything they won't allow me to do anything with it or use the abilities I learned while going through 2 years of college for my associates degree. I stuck around to the end because I thought I would have an opportunity to grow. I guess not.

Well, in the end I did get a year and a half of experience on the field. And from a bank with a LOT of confidential information too!

I think I'm going to work for another college degree.
After thinking long and hard I think I'm going to become a full time student once again. I already have a degree in Information Technology - Computer Network Systems through ITT Tech's overpriced school but now I want to go back and get another degree. This time probably in Computer Science. The bad thing is my credits aren't transferable and going back to ITT is a no-no for me. It would be a lot cheaper for me to just go to the community college like I am now to build up my units and then transfer to Sac State University.

First things first. Planning... This is tricky since I live alone and need to work full time. I think I have it all worked out though.

1. My current job will give me FULL BENEFITS if I work at least 28 hours a week. That means I sitll get vacation time, full medical/dental/vision, the 401k plans, AAAAAAAAAAND tuition reimbursement up to 1,500 a semester. So not only would I be able to work part time and still keep m benefits, my job would pay for a nice chunk of my schooling. Sac City charges like 30 bucks a unit so between this and books I won't have to pay a thing. Though that may change when I transfer to Sac State University.

2. My friend is willing to move in later this year. Him paying rent will allow me to recuperate the loss I take from going part time. So this would allow me to work part time and go to school full time.

3. I can do my online classes at work. They won't care. I do my Japanese homework here all the time. Plus I can earn an additional 4 units a semester through work experience. All I need is my boss's signature and to write about what I learn here on the job. This makes it even easier for me. Hahaha!

The only bad thing is I have to do all my general ed stuff all over again. I did it at ITT but they can't transfer it. Bummer! I'm also worried they won't let me work part time since I was originally hired here to fill a full time position since there's only 3 of us and one already works part time. Most of the time we're dead and I sit here for twiddling my thumbs anyway. Might as well make better use of my time. And they should like it because they would only have to pay me for working part time. But knowing my department they will probably tell me no or something. I shot a detailed email to my boss and her boss explaining everything and have yet to see a response...

It went ok.
I think she could tell I'm not used to the whole dating thing. I'm mostly independent and keep to myself. I only talked to her when she asked me a question. I tried to relate to her stories but I don't do as many outdoor activities as she does. Most of my fun is doing crazy stuff with my friends. In the end, I don't think anything was clicking between us. My friends were saying opposites attract. I don't think they do with me. She was good looking and very friendly but I don't know what I could ever do with her that she would consider fun.

If she wants to hang out again I'll go but I honestly don't think I'm the type of person she would want to go out with. I'm nerdy. I like to play video games by myself and with friends. I like working on computers. I like to play drinking games. I like learning the Japanese language. I like being really goofy. I like anime. She doesn't seem to do any of this. In fact, she told me she barely knows how to use a PC.

I think if I went out with someone who was into the same stuff as me I would have more to talk about during the date. And I always wanted to go out with a girl who plays video games. =3

Nice one, Capcom

I love how you permanently placed a review score on the cover of the game. And it's from a different magazine than the review score sticker you had on the shrink wrap. What are they gonna do next? Squeeze 4 page reviews in the center of the cover?

I dunno why this upsets me so much. It's the game that matters, right? And we all know how good of a fucking game this is.

Wish me luck~
I got a date scheduled on Thursday. I don't know how this will turn out though. She's kind of a complete opposite from me. She's totally into outdoor activities, she doesn't like going to the movies, and she's apparently a Christian. I on the other hand play video games, drink with my friends, and use the lord's name in vain. My friends say sometimes opposites attract better and that I have nothing to lose by at least going out with her.

Just gotta watch what I say.

Miles learns how to use an iron.
Sundays are always laundry days. I plug in my new iron and wait for it to warm up. I made it through both loads just fine. On my very last shirt I accident touch the hot part with the bottom of my left thumb thus burning it. ;____; Now it hurts to use a joystick when playing video games. I blame it on this stupid white T-shirt. If only I didn't iron it.
