Sigh~ And another manga series to love discovered~

Although I'm curious to how different the Tokyopop release is.
And I've only been bugged to read it by a friend of mine for, oh say a year now. She was right all along, I would love it. Had no idea quite this much, though.

Been reading a lot of manga, considering. All of Lovely Complex so far, same for B-Shock, finished the rest of Salad Days and now the wonderfully wonderful Kimi wa Pet.

Why they changed it to "Tramps Like Us", I'll never know.
There isn't a single tramp in the whole series, plus it makes it sound like it's about lesbians or something.

What's up with Q this week

Howdy folks, haven't updated for a while.

Still alive and such, though much has happened.

Victorian Romance Emma Second Act has finally aired and iichan released Episode 00 last night. I've also watched a raw of episode 01 and so far everything is looking great.

Delicious series, you will watch it. It is made of win and Colin bochan.

My favorite series (the few I bother to watch) this season seem to so far be Emma (duh), Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann (which everyone should watch) and the wonderful, wonderful Lovely Complex. Akemi Okamura, great character designs, witty banter and a tall female protagonist, what more could you want?
I love it already and immediately downloaded what's available of the manga <3

Jumping to another subject, yesterday I asked around in chat for suggestions on good standup comedy gigs and Crash recommended Eddie Izzard's Dress to Kill. I found a torrent, downloaded it and managed to watch about thirty minutes last night. It was very late, but I had an extremely difficult time containing my laughter. I finished the rest of it today and nearly fainted. Very good stuff, please give it a try

Well, let's have a look!

My Sennheisers finally broke the other week (the wire to the right earphone broke :(), so I went out and bought a new pair of 212 Pros <3 Didn't even cost as much as I'd feared. They're a bit tight on my head though, I guess the old ones had really loosened with use D:

Anyway, I stopped by Savepoint one time to drop off some stuff and asked if they still had Second Sight around for Xbox (they'd been trying to get rid of them every now and then since no one buys it), intending to buy a copy for cheap and Ville gave me one~ Also bought Hotel Dusk and stopped by Fantasiapelit the other day to pick up Let's Be Perverts Vol 2 and Yubisaki Vol 4.

Some orders have arrived as well. Giant Robo Perfect Collection and Contact from dvdboxoffice, plus my God of War 2 Special Edition through work. Paid for it, I did >=0

So yeah, still playing lots of Advance Wars Dual Strike, and GoW2 was very good from what little I could play over last weekend.

Oh hey, BSC07 is underway, go nominate good tunes!

OH BUT HALO TOTALLY DID THIS TOO YOU KNOW.
Halo totally also gave you proper tools to counter an advancing threat, paced the attack waves AND had a melee attack that actually did something.

I wonder if I can download a save file where I can continue just after the point where no more Xeno appear. Or better yet, have someone else suffer through these sections while I simply watch and leer.

Another picture entry for celebrating GFF KO recovery

Hi folks. While we were down, I had a lovely easter, played lots Advance Wars DS, went to see Kiki's Delivery Service and 300 at the movie theater, and made a lovely LJ picture entry to make myself feel better.

And my Haibane Renmei - Hanenone arrived in the mail last week <3 <3 <3

While I admit 300 managed to be quite spectacular in parts, I feel you're better off watching the trailer again as it really shows what matters most, and is even paced better as a bonus.

NIN's "Just Like you Imagined" is just that more powerful and rousing than the movie itself ='D

It was also amusing how the most legendary lines are already in the comic (and from that I guess, in history as well) and how pretty much all of the dialogue (that wasn't added for the extra plot segments) was identical to the comic, much like Sin City.

Did I mention I got PS3 promos from work? Resistance, Motorstorm, Ridge Racer 7, Genji 2 and Formula One. Oh and Everybody's Tennis for PS2. It's omega kawaii and has selectable Japanese voices~
I also placed my order for the Special Edition of God of War 2.

I got a free PS3 in the mail........ TODAY!

Hi. Still not feeling entirely well, but a bit better. I might try going to work tomorrow.

Anyway, you might recall me saying I got a PS3 on loan from work. I'd get to keep it as long as I work for Nordisk Film, so that would be for quite a while, I suppose. Well anyway, some of you might also remember the PS3 blog I write every now and then.

Well today, a large package was delivered to our doorstep around 10, while I was still asleep. The guy from blogsoft (who's kind of my boss with the blog) had talked the Nordisk Film guys of Denmark into sending (probably all of us bloggers in each country) a free PS3. There'd been dreaming and "wouldn't it be cool if"s around when we started the project, but I never thought they'd do it. I was getting paid by the hour anyway, so it was fine.

But there it is, a second 60GB model, and a copy of Motorstorm. And this one is mine to keep :3

So for a while I have two PS3s in my house, about €1400 worth of hardware

I guess I'll return the other one to work eventually.

Once I get better and less lazy, I'll hook up MY PS3, update to 1.60 and see if any of the promised PS2 titles work as they said. Then I suppose I can give Motorstorm another spin.

Other than that I've been playing Chronicles of Riddick and apart from some extremely frustrating sections, it's been ace.

Anyway, what a thing to wake up to <3 Now I don't have to worry about being prepared for the next Fumito Ueda game.

If you haven't already heard, I caught the stomach flu from my father a bit back and have been pretty much bed-ridden.

It's a really uncomfortable situation since I've been too weak to do anything but lay in bed, which has lead to my back and neck being incredibly sore, making it extremely uncomfortable to lay in bed. The fever and awry stomach make sure I don't feel like eating anything, making my day a constant combination of nausea and exhaustion.

I was supposed to go to the PS3 launch party with a friend on thurday night and then to work today and over the weekend, but none of that is happening now :(

I guess I've been feeling a little better today, I even managed to eat a bit, even if it was very little. Been playing Advance Wars DS and Super Princess Peach when I've not been unconsious.

Meanwhile, why not go read latest Yotsuba?

I really should save DS games for bus trips, but they're so fun ._.

EDIT:

I also have a PS3 on loan from work. I get to keep it till I quit the place. Too bad it's pretty useless for now, so I put it back in the box. I don't have any PS3 games to play and without the 1.60 firmware update, the PS2 backwards compatibility is a joke. I can't even watch movies on it since RGB gives a green image, just like on the PS2 and the DVD Region X disc doesn't of course work.

But I got the controller to function as a USB pad on my PC, so I can play ZSNES with it, I suppose. Doesn't work in MAMEPlus or Cave Story, though :(

Q buys a Lite! And things!

Zounds. So a shopping mall had a bit of a sale and one of the game stores was selling a DS Lite + 2 games in what seemed like a decent enough deal. Turns out the 2 games were pre-set and were complete poo (lol choose from NFS Most Wanted, Rogue Agent or Marvel Nemesis!), but I ended up buying the pack anyway and then going to another game store to sell the games for a nice refund. In the end, it wasn't quite as inexpensive as I'd hoped but eh, I have the damn thing now. A store that would have sold the machine only slightly cheaper is very, very far away.

Picked up Advance Wars DS instead, and also spotted a pre-owned PAL ICO there, so I picked it up for ness. Cardboard case and everything, no cards though.

Also nabbed Feel the Magic/Project Rub (they'll be sure to want it with this rename!) for 5 euro, and proceeded to buy New Super Mario Bros from Savepoint and Princess Peach from a nearby Anttila. I already had Another Code and Dawn of Sorrow waiting~

Yes, I got a white one. The black DS has a wonderful color (especially the inside surface), but having experienced the PSP and the PS3, I know how bad fingerprints look over the shiny black surface.

Feel the Magic certainly won't win awards for game design, but the presentation is marvelous and the setup is just so endearing ='D

I kinda wish you could return to the main menu from options or pictochat, or that you could adjust the brightness during a game, but eh. Minor niggles.

So many games I want to get now! ;_;
