Day of The Dead
It's been a slow day for me. I had a day off from work but seeing as how all my friends are still working there's not much to do today. I decided to watch a movie and since I recently purchased the Dawn of The Dead: Ultimate Edition is felt this was a good time to put the Day of The Dead DVD into my DVD player.

What's actually very interesting about this movie is how it could have been sooo much better! Yeah I know it's a good movie anyway but some time ago I found George Romero's original screenplay on www.homepageofthedead.com and it really surprised me how very different the movie would have been if it weren't for the lame producers who decided to cut half of the budget away because of various financial reasons! Anyway it's definitely nice to read how the movie was intended to be. Well to close my little rant I'd like to present you with the original Day of The Dead score, enjoy.

Music Composed by John Harrison

01 - The Dead Suite
02 - Breakdown
03 - Escape Invasion
04 - The Dead Walk
05 - If Tomorrow Comes
06 - The World Inside Your Eyes
07 - Deadly Beginnings
08 - Diner of The Living Dead
09 - Dead Calm
10 - Bub's 9th
11 - Dead End

The Amityville Horror (1979)
Since the beginning of the 21th century Hollywood feels the need to remake every horror film in history. Now some of these movies have actually added something new to the original story and were classified as 'reasonable remakes'. Sadly, almost 80% fails! Why remake something that's already good? Maybe it's just that we are running out of new ideas?

Well anyway here's a good old-fashioned horror score from the late 70's.

Music Composed by Lalo Schifrin

01 - Amityville Horror Main Title
02 - Father Delaney
03 - One Year Later
04 - Screams
05 - The Windshield
06 - Kathy's Dream
07 - The Staircase
08 - The Babysitter
09 - At The Park
10 - The Window
11 - The Ghost
12 - The Wall
13 - Bleeding Walls
14 - The Ax
15 - The Crucifix
16 - Postludium
17 - Amityville Horror End Credits

The Rock Ideas (Promo)
I was watching the movie The Rock yesterday evening. Now the movie itself is good but the score is even better! Been looking around and have gathered almost all expanded, complete and promo version availible but this little gem that I recently obtained is a lot more interesting then all the others. It's been around some time now but I think many have never heard it, it's a special 3 track promo that contains the first ideas for the original score. It's fun to listen how the score sounded in it's very early stages. Check it out.

Music composed by Nick Glennie-Smith

1. The Rock Ideas #1 (2:48)
2. The Rock Ideas #2 (2:54)
3. The Rock Ideas #3 (2:52)
