We must stop meeting like this, I do nothing but bring bad news.
I must sadly inform all of you that my brother, infamously known here as Crash Landon, passed away just yesterday (11/18,) in Pittsburgh. He was 35.
I am unfortunately light on details, mostly receiving them slowly through my father and my other brother. I know that he had developed an infection on Sunday, but the doctors couldn't find an effective antibiotic for his system that also worked with fact that he has a suppressed immune system.
His condition had been worsening over the past few months, with hospital visits becoming more frequent. With the more frequent visits came more frequent phone calls for our brother and father to come down and oversee his care and make decisions.
My father and brother had visited him on Sunday, to see him get a bit better and spend some quality time with him. They were planning on coming down this weekend, but were informed yesterday morning that he may only have 24-48 hours. I believe he passed away while they were driving down to Pittsburgh, a mere 4 hour trip away from Buffalo.
But... Herv, or whatever, wasn't he a jerk and left on really bad terms?
Well, yes, and it's understandable if you all simply go "that sucks, but can't really feel bad."
Simply put, I was asked to let you know of his passing, because he felt it was important that you guys know, regardless of the outcome.
He still loved this community and regrets everything he did that hurt your trust. I am told he would understand if you guys were still angry, but again, he wanted you to know.
If you guys want any information or details, I will do my best to provide them.
(As for me, I'm fine and I'm handling the situation well. I was indifferent on everything to start, but after some discussion with my brother about Crash, I may not fully forgive him for what he's done, but I understand he regrets it all, and I have a positive sense of closure.)
