Friend of mine took this; lives in Gippa. He said a bit of ash falls every few hours. This shot's been taken about 90 Ks away from the fires.

Lorl, background info: Vic and Tas are undergoing one of the worst bushfire seasons in recent history. Vic especially: usually they're reatively separate from one another, but this time they've conjoined to form a superfire, with a 240km-long front.

On top of that, Melbourne's water storages are at 40 per cent. And the Worst Drought In a Thousand Years hasn't finished. And summer's just started.
