Upgraded to 3G
I finally upgraded my iphone to the 3G version. After dealing with the shit that is the edge network for so long I figured it would be worth it to upgrade. Before I didn't think it was worth it since only huge cities even supported 3G. However, over time a pretty huge chunk of CA has been upgraded to support it. I can go anywhere except for country roads and get the nicer 3G speeds.

I get fewer dropped calls, faster browsing speeds, and the sound quality is much clearer when talking to someone on a landline or cellphone with a 3G connection. When I go to Japan again my phone will also be able to pick up a signal(not that I would wanna USE it considering how expensive it is roaming). My original iphone received no service since Japan doesn't fuck with ancient GSM technology.

Unfortunately, most of the country isn't blessed with 3G coverage like we have here in California. It's sad to see our country fall behind when it comes to cellular mobile telecommunications. I guess it is a bit more difficult when a country is as big as this.
