So I'm going to Japan in June.
First time leaving the country too. I guess this is my version of a GFF meet except only one other person from Gamingforce is going too. That's Kairyu. There could be more but it's hard to find people who have the time or the money to visit a foreign country.

We'll probably go to Osaka on June 21st provided that Kairyu and my other friend can secure their funds for the trip on time. I took a weeks vacation during that time as well as using up all my personal days the following week after. Between that, the rail pass, and the hotel room, all this alone will cost between 2500-3000 dollars. And then I'll need to set aside money for food and Japanese stuff. There should be plenty for us to do there, whether it be wandering the streets of Osaka drunk or paying a visit to places like the kitsune shrines and temples. :3

I think I know everything I need to do in preparation. I'm just wondering how much extra cash I should bring. Is it best to just convert like 700 dollars to yen here and bring it with me or should I rely on my visa card and bring maybe only 300 dollars worth of yen? I'm worried that if I use my card a lot I'll get charged with a lot of random fees and lose money from when it's converted to yen.
